28th November 2019

We all move on from fanfiction at some point. In all honesty, for me, that occurred quite some time ago. With little exception, much of my fanfiction was written when I wasn't even yet in my 20's - other then a brief 4-chapter Yu-Gi-Oh oneshot, I basically haven't published any fanfiction in five years. Mt focus changed to my YouTube channel, Cartoon Karma, where I discuss animated films, as opposed to writing fanfiction about them.
However, during that time, some fanfic projects have been floating around in my head and continuing to develop. Some I started here, some have yet to leave my computer. But as a coda of sorts, I resolve to get these last few out the door, both as something to be proud of and to be able to move on.
I am primarily talking about, of course, The Powerpuff Girls Movie 3: Galactic Heroes & Villains (changed from the original subtitle of Heroes and Villains, given the PPG album of the same name, and to fit with the title of The Powerpuff Girls Movie 2: Galactic Willpower). Despite having large chunks of the thing planned out, I got three chapters in before losing focus. For a good three years, the project sat there collecting dust, occasionally surfacing but never for long. Then, in early 2018, it surfaced in a big way. Since then, I've been gradually tinkering with it, restructuring the thing, and most importantly, improving it immeasurably; before it, and Movie 2, were clearly the product of a novice writer. I'm aiming for the highest standard possible with Movie 3, partly to improve my own skills before moving on to original fiction. The project restructuring is approaching completion; that stage should be done early next year, at which point I can write it (with as detailed an outline as I have, it's basically transcribing where I can focus on prose construction at that point). I'm super excited to reveal how it'll all turn out. The first three published chapters will be completely overhauled, as nearly all scenes in them have completely changed.

Sometime soon I'll overhaul the rest of my profile page below. In the meantime, pay it little heed except as the ramblings of a younger and more naive writer.

Hey there. I'm just a budding animator that dabs in script writing, novel writing (but you have little reason to care about those two), and, naturally, fanfiction writing. My reading interests here are really varied, including A Bug's Life, Powerpuff Girls, Pokémon, Wreck-It Ralph, and more.

I have a Deviantart account also. I'd love if some of you would do some fan art! Permission is not necessary, just let me know that you've done it! I visit it frequently, though updates are rare. http:///

And my Livejournal also, tied almost exclusively to Powerpuff Girls: http:///

I am of the opinion that, for the most part, longer chapters tend to contain better written work. I tend to not favor one-shots much, and I prefer good, proper stories. I have many more interests in fiction then those that I write for - I just only write for those areas that I believe I can do full, proper justice to. My writing areas will expand over time. Some other ones I am thinking about include Wreck-It-Ralph.

I ALWAYS write my stories with EVERYONE in mind, even those who are not normally a part of the fandom. Therefore, you have nothing to fear about lack of clarity in reading any of my stories from any of the fandoms I've written in. My stories are usually done as close to the style and rating level of the original work as possible. That's why I'm, generally, not a fan of Slash, Yaoi, Yuri or anything similar. I tend to be accepting of non-canon pairings, but it depends on how well-written the story is and how realistic it is made, and whether it could fit in in the original's universe, hence why I am annoyed at the lackluster effort put into most Powerpuff Girls/Rowdyruff Boys fics.

Some of my fics contain chapter lengths in time at the bottom of each chapter (PAL frame rate for earlier fics, both NTSC and PAL from now on), usually those that I picture as a movie or part of one.

When it comes to reviewing my work, you may go about it however you like. I have but one request: POINT OUT EVERY FLAW YOU CAN. No matter how tiny or supposedly insignificant. No writer is perfect, and we always need to be improving. Flaws being pointed out are even for my old fics. And especially for my more recent ones, the ones I'm currently writing, or finished recently. I would much rather have a carefully constructed review pointing out every error within sight then one just saying how great they think it is. Too often, in Fanfiction, we don't get much critique, and if there is one element I really care about getting right, it's character. So, CRITIQUE MY CHARACTER.

By the way, my earliest fanfictions, many of them novel versions of the source, mostly suck. Apart from A Bug's Pranks, I wouldn't recommend any A Bug's Life fics of mine. Everything else ranges from decent to great, mostly improving the more recent the fic in question is. But because my early fics are stuff people are still reading, I leave them up for that reason. Just be aware that I know of their quality level.

Also, as a Disclaimer, I own none of the movies, shows or other sources upon which my works are based. I am merely borrowing them for non-profit purpose, like all fanfiction writers. All I own are original characters, settings, and plots. I have this disclaimer here as I would rather not have to state it on every story.

MY STORY OPINIONS (Last Updated 3rd January 2014) I'm not going to overload this page with pointless stuff, but I am going to give my own current opinion on my stories as a whole, in the order that I wrote them. Quotation marks indicate the blurb is an extract from the story itself. These blurbs are the definitive versions, with the story summary's using these where they can fit, and using abbreviated versions in other cases.

A Bug's Life: The Novelization
On behalf of "oppressed bugs everywhere" an inventive ant named Flik hires "warrior bugs" to defend his colony from a horse of greedy grasshoppers, led by Hopper. But when Flik's cavalry turns out to be a motley group of flea circus performers, the stage is set for comic confusion... as well as unlikely heroes!
STORY TYPE: Movie/Novel
As the first story that I wrote here, this was more an experiment then anything. Since it is merely the movie in written form, this is by far my most popular fic. It is also, perhaps, my worst-written one. I did rush it at the time, and not with perfect description either. Don't count on me ever returning to rewrite it, but due to it's varied target audience, anyone can read this (and it tops my second most popular by twice the amount of hits). Feel free to pick out the writing errors on it as well. If you're seeking a better written version of the movie, a version exists in Chapters 22-30 of my fanfiction A Bug's Life: A Beetle's Life - just note that it is from Dim's POV instead, and misses a few scenes alongside having a perspective suited to the rest of A Beetle's Life.
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: YES

A Bug's Life: A Beetle's Life
The insect world's most unlikely heroes are on a mission to stop the enemy in A Bug's Life: A Beetle's Life! Dim is an ordinary rhino beetle in an ordinary beetle clan, until the day when events regarding coleopteran's mortal enemies, hornets, leads to his banishment. He happens upon a flea circus, including a black widow spider. When he finds he can't forget about where he came from, he has to return. But Rosie, Francis, Heimlich, Slim and Manny will be there with him every step of the way!
STORY TYPE: Movie/Novel Hybrid
This was my first true fanfiction, and contains written outtakes (in the tradition of the movie). Compared to my writing quality these days, it's a bit lesser. I'm not ashamed of everything to do with the story - bar the similarities with the original movie - setting and characterization, particularly the few OC's that I created for the story (with the villain, Queen Maula, stealing every scene she appears in). It's major letdown is it's writing and style. It jars between first and third-person a lot, with too much of Dim's thoughts told to the audience at points. Rereading it these days, I can see why it might be off-putting for some. The story and writing does improve towards the end, and the third part during the first movie is the best written. I was still a youngster when I wrote it - but the creativity shines through.
This was originally three separate fics; Episode I was the start, with Dim being the only non-OC thus far. Episode II was the bulk of the story. Episode III was the first movie with additional scenes related to his story. I decided to combine them into one fic because I realized forcing someone to read one fic before reading another was a bad idea. However, I left the original versions up anyway. Read either, but I prefer you read the one-fic version. It also has two additional chapters near the end, one being character interviews and the other a teaser for A Bug's Life 2: Adventure Of A Lifetime (which has been scraped).
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: YES (except for the bonus chapters)

Regirock's Tale
Regirock was just an ordinary legendary Pokémon, until he and his two partners, Regice and Registeel, were separated from their master, Regigigas, and taken overseas by humans. By a series of events, they end up as the guardians of the Tree of Beginning. Only when, centuries later, humans are near, will they have to ask themselves the important question - are humans truly bad?
STORY TYPE: Two-Shot Fanfiction
This was merely a two-shot about what I thought about the Regis in the 8th Pokémon movie. This was my first story in another archive, and I think it worked decently. I love expanding on minor or overlooked characters in a movie, and this was one of my favorite examples. Regirock only appears in 27 shots in the whole movie! Split into two chapters to accommodate non-Pokémon fans as well.
I was originally going to do the same story for all three Regis, but I then realized that it would be pretty much the same story three times.
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: NO

A Bug's Life: A Bug's Pranks
Since they were larvae in the second grade, Francis, Slim and Heimlich have had a prank contest every month. This time, they let their newest friend, Flik, into the contest. Dot wants to join in, but isn't allowed under the pretext of "girls CANNOT pull pranks." When this doesn't suit well with some other female insects, primarily Atta and Rosie, the stage is set for comical twists, clever traps and sophisticated attempts at gender dominance!
STORY TYPE: TV Episode
An episodic four-shot which consists of a pranking contest that is also a gender battle of 10 males against 10 females, primarily Flik, Francis, Heimlich, against Atta, Dot and Rosie. This is more humorous then my usual style, with almost every line of dialogue either funny, witty, or at the very least clever. It also has a subplot about Slim struggling over a decision about whether he should become a doctor or stay in the circus. Meanwhile, P.T.'s circus crew, the fireflies and wolf tarantula, have no respect for each other's jobs, so he activates the Role Reversal method to teach them mutual respect - or so they think.
There wasn't much point to this, but I just felt like writing it. I structured it to make it feel like a 23-minute TV episode, not just in the length, but also in the pacing, style, emotion (in that it's no more sad then funny), and other aspects. Not much to say about this one, really. I know laughs usually don't work as well on paper as they do onscreen, but if you just read this to detail, you'll find yourself chuckling, hopefully.
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: NO

The Powerpuff Girls Movie 2
The Powerpuff Girls Movie 2 rolls super-powered action, epic adventure and laughs into a captivating and original story. Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, Townsville's crime-fighting team, save the day on a regular basis. But when they are pulled into a complicated trap by a team of villains, led by Mojo Jojo, they find themselves not only on a mission to save Townsville, but also to find out what they truly are.
STORY TYPE: Movie/Novel
This story is a decent example of how fanfiction can be better then fanfiction-haters give it credit for. This story has enough variation in style to accommodate both fans of the show only (and not the fandom), those who only like Powerpuff Girl x Rowdyruff Boy fics, those who haven't even seen the show, and those who, like me, want a bit of variation in the Powerpuff Girls fandom.
I'd love to say something about the story here, but I'll hold my tongue so you can enjoy it a lot better. It does have writing and tonal problems, mostly in the first half (the tonal shift from show-verse to movie-verse is especially jarring), but they improve majorly towards the end. And some plot points are a bit on-the-nose, but only some. Even if it's not your taste, give it a chance.
With all eight recurring villains or villain groups from the show, along with the army of monkeys from The Powerpuff Girls Movie, this is truly for everyone! Development occurs not just for the girls, but also for most of the villains too. Wanna know what happens? Go read and review it already!
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: YES

Villains
Mojo Jojo, Townsville's once greatest villain, doesn't have much longer to live. When one of his archenemies shows up, seriously asking for training in the ways of villainy, he finds himself accepting it. Together, the unlikely duo must fight against all odds to prove themselves against a world that deems those who are different as "freaks."
STORY TYPE: Novel
This fic isn't going to have any more chapters written for it. Not because I feel my writing isn't up to scratch - if anything, this is my mechanics' shining hour - but because I've lost interest, and the fic from which it was adapted is already done and the definite version for the story, anyways, despite it's flaws. This'll stay up for those interested, but it is quite far removed from the "Groudo" style, just as a warning (and, for those who don't like my normal style that much, a warning in the good sense).
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: NO

The World Of The Powerpuff Girls
Even aside from their daily crime-fighting routine, there's a lot going on in the world of the Powerpuff Girls. And not just for them either... Everyone, from megalomaniac mutated monkeys to green-skinned gangsters, from the girls themselves to renegade ruffs, from single-celled incompetent criminals to crazy hillbillies. And they all have strange stories to tell...
Relations: He knew from the moment their glorious tale began that he would never be the same as them. Yet Mojo still cared about The Powerpuff Girls, despite everything.

Maria: I had broken my promise to Papi. Maria was no more. The Guerra family heirloom was no more...
Joe: To Fuzzy Lumpkins, Joe was his best friend, his soul mate, his constant companion.
Uncertainty: "All we want to be is, eh... gee this is hard... Be real criminals!"
Bubbly Christmas: She looked so peaceful there, he noted. So innocent. Not the kind of person you would expect to stop crime regularly.
That's Not Just Bonkers - That's Bananas!: Hacha Chacha never really wanted to be a villain, in all honesty, Hacha's real ambition was to cook.
Soaring: All three Powerpuff Girls had something they loved most about their powers. For Blossom, however, it was the ability to fly.
Routine: It boiled down to one thing: routine. And that was what infuriated Buttercup.
An Egg-Cellent Easter: There was only one person who could never fully enjoy Easter, although it wasn't the fault of said person, who was... Bubbles. That's right, Bubbles. And all because of a chocolate allergy.
The Mexican, The Monkey, And The Banana: "Well guys," began Arturo, gazing off into space. The other four listened patently. "There was this one time…"
The Plague: As Buttercup said, it was like a big Rabbit Rock 'em Match. Blossom thought it was more like a Rabbit Plague.
Tricks: Every attempt at world domination, condemned to poof its power against The Powerpuff Girls. Who was he tricking, to think he had a chance after so many losses?
A Lonely Silence: Grubber was delegated to a silence from which he yearned to escape. Then again, so were the rest of the gang bar Ace, so to speak.
Scam Of The Season: "Grubber," said Ace shortly, "that is an excellent idea! This is gonna be the scam of the season!"
Stones: One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. All eight curved beach pebbles circle elliptically in the air. He doesn't focus heavily, he just does it.
STORY TYPE: Drabble Collection/Short Story Collection/Vignette Collection
The premise is the same for all of these. Over at Livejournal, the PPG_HUB (link through my livejournal link) had a monthly drabble contest every month from September 2011 to August 2013. Drabbles just had to match the prompt and be no more then 1,000 words. I wrote 15 drabbles altogether. They cover a wide variety of themes (whilst sticking with the prompt) and feature a wide variety of Powerpuff characters. Even for people who don't care for prompt-driven fics, they are mostly satisfying for attempts to settle down with the characters in vignettes.
The contests as a whole were of a very high quality, and had no shortage of great entires and variety! You can view all the entries here: http:///
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: NO

The Powerpuff Girls Movie: The Novelization
This full-length adventure features an animated epic so big, so funny and so spectacular that only The Powerpuff Girls can handle it! Created by a perfectly powerful explosion, Blossom Bubbles and Buttercup explode into action as the new kids in Townsville! But during an enthusiastic game of tag, they nearly destroy their beloved city. Now called social freaks, they turn to the mysterious Mojo Jojo for help... but this sinister simian had other plans – big plans – like leading an army of evil monkeys to take over the world! Join the celebration as The Powerpuff Girls save Townsville and the world – for the very first time... before bedtime!
STORY TYPE: Movie/Novel
I started this fic right on the heels of finishing Movie 2, when it seemed like a good idea. Though it is technically competent, I realize now that it is essentially disposable, as the actual movie itself will always surpass this (as so much of Powerpuff's success relies on it's style, both visual and humor, neither of which come across as well in prose). There are some extra snippets added here and there, but they don't affect the fic largely. It is most useful as a companion piece to Movie 2 and 3, foreshadowing many events and relationships to come. Read all three back to back, and they will be much more gut-wrenching. For that, at least, this fic is worthy enough.
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: YES

The Powerpuff Girls Movie 3
Just when you thought all was right for out heroes - think again! Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup, The Powerpuff Girls, have reformed most of Townsville's villains. So fighting one of them again shouldn't be hard, except for three factors. One, said villain's development of a force even they can't fight. Two, the separation of the team when they have faced everything as one. And three, the discovery that their origin isn't as simple as it seemed. And how does Mojo Jojo factor into all this? Bringing together awesome action, spectacular humor, and genuine heart and dreams, The Powerpuff Girls Movie 3 is more then just saving the day before bedtime!
STORY TYPE: MOVIE/NOVEL
While keeping the style and tone of the previous two fics, this one juggles many more plots, subplots, and characters (over 70), many having their own arc. It shows in the length, as this is going to be 50% longer then the last two. It is, among other things, a swansong to the franchise, an event fic, a celebration for all the characters, major and minor, and the answer to a question never before answered in the franchise. The answer? Read and review the fic to find out.
CHAPTER TIME LENGTHS: YES

P.S. Yes, I am a guy. While there seems to be more female writers on fanfiction.net as a whole, don't forget that we guys still exist on this website also!
