![]() Author has written 6 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, Hellsing, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, Gaia Online, and Magic: The Gathering. Hello, I'm Hikari Hellspawn (formerly Hellion), once called Kamikaze Shihiro. For some reason my old account got screwed up and I couldn't get any e-mails from the site, but I'm now back! Feel free to call me by my old nickname, Kaze-chan, or as my new name. ON HIATUS Okay so...Heir to Hellsing is, at least for the forseeable future, on permanent hiatus. It's been so damn long since I last wrote anything in it, that by now it's a lost cause. Sometime in the near future, I hope, I'm going to post one last author's note for it, and then plunk it into the "completed" bin... I might rewrite it again at some point in the future, but for now it's on permanent hiatus. For those of you who were still hanging on to it, I thank you for the reads and reviews and I apologize for its rather...underwhelming end. I first started writing the thing back in high school, and since then I've pretty much managed to write myself into a corner, plot-wise. UPDATING Remembrance is not dead! I swear! There was an insane wait in between the last few chapters, but I promise I'm writing chapters, and posting them as I get them done! I can't make any guarantees as to whether I'll be able to get back to the once-a-month update schedule I used to have, but I can assure you that I am writing chapters and posting as they become available. Hopefully the posts will have some form of regularity to them. I've also started my Gaia Online fanfiction, Reality Bytes. In short, it's a story centered around the idea of zOMG (Gaia's MMO, which, sadly, no longer exists courtesy of the soon-to-be-old "management") bleeding through to the "Real World". It's got more to it than just a bunch of digital monsters popping into real life and causing havoc; it's going to have all sorts of fun stuff like the supernatural, magic, my take on how the Rings work, and alternate realities. And fruit. I've decided to split up Through Another's Eyes into two fics, one for Act One, the other for Act Two. I decided to do this because TAE was already getting insanely long, and I figure the ending of the origins arc would be a good place to not just end Act One, but also a good ending for the fic as a whole. Also, fewer chapters means newbies to the story don't end up getting scared away by a massive amount of story to get caught up on ;. Don't worry, I'm not abandoning Selena's POV altogether; I've just decided to move the Duelist Kingdom arc to a fic of its own, and I'll probably be doing the same thing with Act Three (Battle City). Both "Acts" can be found down below, with the rest of the fanfic. And in the subject of new fanfic; Birthright! It's probably not the best idea to add a fourth fic to my roster while I already have trouble keeping regular updates with the other three, but this was a storyline that I've had running about in my head ever since the end of Magic Story's Amonkhet arc. Unlike the other three (which, yes, I am still writing for, please don't worry too much), I've actually got 98% of Birthright already written, no small thanks to NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNo. So for those of you who like regular updates without massive gaps in between, this one is going to be it--I literally have like, two chapters left to write, which will give me more than enough lead time to finish them for the next session of Camp. IN PLANNING As I said above, I'm planning alternate POV fics for the rest of the Yu-Gi-Oh! saga; GX, 5D's, Zexal, and Arc-V. Unlike TAE, these are all going to be based in the anime versions rather than the manga versions. But like TAE, they'll be centered around OCs, more or less seeing the events of the series through the eyes of someone other than the protagonist. With, of course, some twists. As of yet, most of these fics only have working titles; whether the titles I listed above for them will be the final title or not is up in the air. Also in the Yu-Gi-Oh universe, Persona: GX. As the name suggests, it's a crossover of Persona 4: The Animation and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. P: GX will have nothing to do with the alt-POV fic for GX, but I'm still undecided on whether I'll be using the anime or the manga of GX for much of the lore; it may end up being a mix. I've got several chapters for this one written so far, I just need to track them down. And finish watching the dub of Persona XD. I also have a Star Trek fanfiction in the works; The Adventures of the USS Bonhomme Richard, which is centered around a rather...unique ship. And when I say "unique" I mean "it's full of Starfleet's misfits and screw-ups". It's a predominantly comedy series, with some more serious bits thrown in. All the characters have...issues. Jump the Gun is going to be an AU MtG fic. I'm only in the outline process with this one. The same with a bit of fic that's going to take place in the world of Menewsha. Both of these are still in the early stages. Apart from these, I've got a few more fanfic ideas I'm playing with that take place in other fandoms I claim membership to; D. Gray-man, The Elder Scrolls series, Bleach...but I haven't really done anything with the ideas. Yet. We'll see what happens. A quick note on any ongoing projects I have listed: For most of these, I've got a pretty good general idea about where I'm going with these--the in-progress/planning means I'm in the process of either writing the thing itself or mapping out the details of plot. I've had one person ask (twice!) to collaborate on a few of these, so I figure it should be mentioned: none of the projects I have listed are available to collaborate on. All of these are solo projects, so I am not looking for a co-author on any of these. If I am looking to collaborate on a fic with someone, I'll be the one to approach them with the idea. Same with borrowing characters; I'll be the one to ask first, so if y'all are reading a fic and either want to offer a character or see one of the projects on my profile and want to work on one of them...apologies, but it probably isn't going to happen. As for updates...Yes, I realize that the updates on all of my fics are rather stop-and-go. That is a side-effect of working two jobs, and not finally being able to properly sit down at a computer until eleven at night or later. Yeah, there's about an hour between the two of them, but that hour has to be spent eating, getting a shower, taking care of what few chores I can in such a limited amount of time, spend a little time with my cats, and finally changing into my uniform for McDouchebag's before heading to that job. It doesn't leave me very much room for writing, no matter how much I try to schedule it into my day. Weekends are, quite literally, the only time I can write...and half the time I'm too damn tired to get my brain to focus on one thing for long enough to make any considerable progress. I am still writing, however, even though it is slow going. As for if or when this is going to change...I don't know. Just please, for the love of sanity, be patient. This writer is human, as much as I wish I was an elf. Or a Time Lord. So, until the next profile update, I'll see you in my stories! ~Hikari Hellspawn |
