![]() Author has written 4 stories for Harry Potter. Hello. I'm Kat. I'm 31. I have my own theme music. I can probably recite word-for-word every line in the LOTR movies. Don't act like you're not impressed. I do my best to make my friends smile. I laugh when I'm nervous. I live and breathe music. I am 95 percent sure I'll end up being a crazy cat lady. I do not mind this. I dare you to out-nerd me. Oh. And I DESPISE first person narration. How old are we now? Come on. If I start a Review with "Oh" that usually means I am absolutely in love with the Chapter/Story. As in "Oh wow!" or "Oh MERLIN that was good!" If I don't, that doesn't mean I didn't like it :) I find this site terribly addicting. I intend to write many stories based on the Harry Potter novels. I am secretly in love with Fred Weasley. When book 7 was being released, I said, "You know she's going to kill off SOMEONE! She has to. I don't care who she kills... Ron, Neville, Hermione, even Harry... but I swear to God if she kills off Fred, I'm gonna flip a shit." the shit has been flipped, so to speak. Wtf JK Rowling? You killed my favorite twin!! :( The above section was written at the start of my FanFiction days. Due to several very gifted authors, I now harbor a strong addiction, borderline obsession, to the Draco-Hermione pairings, and am rather embarrassed to say that I love Draco Malfoy and wish with every fiber of my being that he was real. Damn you fiction. Damn you to hell. The above section was written not long ago, and although I still go out of my way to read as many Dramione's as possible, I am now also addicted to the Snape/Hermione pairing. ...Snamione? Gross. That doesn't sound right... I should note that I only approve of this pairing if Hermione is of age. I do not condone pedophilia!!! But anyway, if you have any recommendations for either of these pairings, or any story for that matter, send it my way. It would seem the female protagonist in any story must be Hermione though. I suppose I relate to her the most (I'm sure we all say that) I have begun reading a HP fic written in French, translated via Google Translate. It has been incredibly entertaining so far, mainly because certain words and phrases don't translate over completely. Here are a few examples that made me ALOL: The heat rose to her cheeks and her body was covered by a flood of fun. Do not worry, Miss Granger, you will do great! said McGonagall breast. Most students had obtained the result that to grow mustaches frog, and at best, to do meow. (Transfiguring frogs into cats) I highly recommend trying this out yourself. (And the fic is actually a really good one, "Oubliettes" by Saah7) Recommended Authors: RZZMG: I promise you, if you are a fan of Dramione's, READ her ridiculously long stories. They are well worth it. Tierfal: Witty, hilarious stories. Draco/Hermione again. Read especially if you're looking for something a bit more intellectually stimulating than the usual, "She smiled. He did too. 'I like you' 'I like you too' 'WE'RE IN LOVE OH YAY!'" stories... yeah. gingercat0319: So far only 1 story, but it was adorably hilarious! Very funny sense of humor with this one. Creative, witty, etc. Aurette: FANTASTIC fics featuring Snape and Hermione. If you're a fan of that ship, I highly suggest you sail these seas :) Recommended Reads: I never "Favorite" a story unless I truly love it and intend to read it again. So check out my favorites list. But especially: When Love and Hate Collide by RZZMG (Lonnnnnnng story, nearly 400,000 words! Most creative, original, well thought out story yet, I think) AND WINNER OF 4 DRAMIONE AWARDS!!!!! Her and Me by Tierfal (Incredible writing style and vocabulary. ALOL'd a ton in this particular story. Definitely in my top 3 favorite stories) Sweet Caroline by gingercat0319 (SO funny! Every chapter had me laughing. So creative and well written. Top 3 favorite story!) What a Difference a Night Makes by Kyra4 (I think I favorited at least 3 of her stories) Respected Elf Enslaver by Alex25 (a VERY interesting and original story by a very good author) From the Dark Tower by luckei1 (This story stuck in my head for a very long time. Really really liked it) The Invisible Den by prototyped (an absolutely DARK story. Possibly the most original idea on this site. Literally gave me goosebumps. Read with caution) and of course, the story that got me hooked on FanFiction in the first place: A LateNight Rendezvous by angelically-devilish (hilarious. and hot) I recommend reading more works by these authors as well. They have many good ones. (especially RZZMG, Tierfal, Kyra4, Alex25 and angelically-devilish). Updates 8-12-09: Currently writing a new story with a new duo. Hermione ?? it's my favorite so far. :) 8-17-09: FINISHED!! my first Dramione fic. let me know what you think! 9-9-09: Another Dramione on the way! Quite a bit longer than any of my other stories. I may split this one into chapters... 9-25-09: Well for Heavens sake... I just can't seem to get motivated. Too busy reading some AMAZING stories on here. Perhaps one will inspire me to continue this new story. But for now it's on hiatus. Not that I have an avid following. I suppose if I had a deadline or one dedicated fan that was anxious for a new fic, I'd move it up to top priority. Maybe... 10-1-09: UPDATE!! ok. So I finally started re-working my newest story, and so far I do like where it is going. However it is far from finished (sorry) but will hopefully be done soonish?? ALSO! Due to popular demand, I am seriously considering writing a sequel or 2nd chapter to the somewhat popular "Lay With Me and Just Forget the World" fic. My only problem is that I haven't read the books in ages. I mean literally years and years (well, since whenever book 7 came out). So I either need to A) re-read books 6 and 7, or B) find a super awesome detailed synopsis online. But someday... SOMEDAYYYYY, I think I might do that. Just an FYI. :) 11-9-09: Ok. I have made little progress on my story, but a very good excuse! I am currently reading a most wonderful Dramione, that at this point in time happens to be 275,565 words long. Jebus. It is incredibly time consuming, and well worth it. I'll put a link above if anyone wants to give it a go. I STRONGLY encourage you to do so. Anyway, whenever the lovely RZZMG finishes her story is when I'll likely begin work on mine again. Sorry, loyal... fan. 12-12-09: Hello all! Well, I FINALLY finished the most amazing fanfiction ever. Nearly 400,000 words, and completely worth reading. See above. When Love and Hate Collide. But this means I now have time to work on my own story, which I think I've decided to scrap! 13 pages of work that I probably won't use. BUT! I've started on yet another story, and I really like it so far. And I've begun re-reading the 6th book so I'll have everything fresh in my head. Yay yay yay. It was my birthday yesterday too. Happy birthday to me! I feel like 24 is going to be a gooooooooooooooood year. 1-18-10: Happy new year! (I almost typed "Harry new year!"... guess I've been reading too many fanfictions!!) Well, I started writing yet ANOTHER story, but once again I got sidetracked reading a rather AMAZING story, entitled "Sweet Caroline". I strongly recommend you read it. Anyway, for once I do like the story I've started, but now I seem to have hit a wall, so... sorry. Good thing I only have like 2 fans. And I'm sure they aren't crying over my lack of publishing. SOMEday I WILL post an amazing tale, whether it be 5,000 words or 100,000. It will be good, I will be proud. But there's no rush, right? There's always time. Hope you all are well! 3-1-10: WOW! So I began writing a cute oneshot (maaaaybe 2 chapters) story between Fred and Hermione that I planned on posting on or around Valentines Day. But then I got so caught up in work and moving, etc. And now it's March and I think posting a Valentine's fic would be a little odd. Not to mention I haven't finished writing it yet. But for good reason! I've started a new Dramione, and ohhhhhhhh is this one good! Still working out certain details, but I'm actually incredibly motivated with this one. I've even set aside reading the new chapter updates from some of my most beloved authors. So look for my new story in the (hopefully) near future. Perhaps this will be longer than a oneshot. It's looking that way... although somehow despite the fact that I have around 10 MS Word pages, it's still only 3,000 something words. Wow. HOW do some people write 100,000 word stories?! I have so much more respect for them. 5-31-10: Well you probably shouldn't trust a word I say. In the past 2 months, I've done nothing but watch LOST and read fanfics. Oh, and I finished re-reading HP7 FINALLY!! I do intend to finish one of the many stories I've begun writing, but for heavens sake it's hard to stay motivated!! Especially when my stories absolutely suck in comparison to some of the masterpieces I read on here. Ho hum. So I apologize if there is anyone out there that is hoping to read something from me. Ha. 8-3-10: Oh for Pete's sake. Well, I just published SOMETHING on this site. A short one shot. It's like, every time I get a good idea, I begin to write, and then it just falls apart. I should just share my awesome ideas for stories with some really excellent writers. Then and only then will I be pleased with the results! Yeahhhh... Favorite Music: Department of Eagles, Grizzly Bear, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Beatles, Doors, Ratatat, Muse, Beastie Boys, M. Ward, Bob Dylan, Animal Collective, PB&J, Bjork, Simon and Garfunkel, Queens of the Stone Age, Ray Lamontagne, Led Zeppelin, Mason Proper, Flaming Lips, Etta James, Sigur Ros, Frank Sinatra, Modest Mouse, Devendra Banhart... etc etc etc I solemnly swear that Fred never died and George wears blue boxers!
