![]() Author has written 13 stories for Gundam Wing/AC, Harry Potter, Firefly, and Fallout. So in case any of you didn't know - or are just freakishly talented - writer's block is a MAJOR bitch. I haven't posted anything on in fo-evah - and by forever, I mean like 14 months. Which is sad, since in the past I couldn't go more than a day without writing or checking my stats. Maybe I'm growing out of it. Who knows. But anyway, I finally wrote something other than a thirty page dialogue, and -shockingly- completed it. And I'm sure you don't know this, but for me to sit down with an idea, start at the beginning, and write the entire plotline in the actual order it's supposed to be read in all the way to the end...that's kind of a miracle. I mean, damn. I just about went out and bought myself a medal. So to commemorate this momentous occasion, I decided to post it. Luckily for you, all at once too, so you don't have to wait on the edge of your seat for the next chapter. I'm also thinking, just judging by the direction my writing has taken the last year or so, if I ever do write my own book, it's gonna be romance novel. Not to knock the other genres, but that's what I've been leaning towards. That, or maybe a cook book. We'll see. Anyway, I know it's a small ass category, since it's the one crossover anyone has ever written for Firefly and Fallout, but if you want some awesome steamy smexing, give it a shot, even if you're not familiar with the characters. And yes, I spelled it Bayne on purpose. Boone, Jayne, Bayne. Gee, franklymydear, that was so clever, haha. Yes, I know. I'm jsut awesome like that. Alright, moving on to the bio that no one really cares about but I'm including anyway -- Name: FranklyMyDear89, based off the line from Gone With the Wind (which you should read - do not just settle for the movie, please) "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn," kudos, if you caught that before the explanation. I picked it for a very complicated reason that led me to choosing the pen name Frank, and a friend's desire to make a phrase from our names (his was Grant, so he picked Taken For Granted). I just kept up the tradition because I love him so much. Writing interests: I'm sticking to genres I know inside and out, so sadly many of my ideas for fandoms like 300 are on the back burner for a long while. Hopefully my pathetic cliches won't deter you overly much; I know my characters pretty damn well. Movies: I've narrowed my interests to Scifi/Fantasy - mostly post-apocalyptic - and the occasional Romantic Comedy (never did say I wasn't a romantic). Anime/Manga: Though I've read yaoi fanfics for years, I'm just now graduating into yaoi in the cannon, so round of aplause for me. I detest most of the commonly popular animes, preferring obscurity to mainstream, but I'm hard pressed to find something I can't even tollerate. TV: I mainly stick to cop shows; they're great for planning world domination and not getting caught, Muahaha! And of course, Castle is my favorite. Books: Sadly, I don't read hard copies as much as I used to anymore. I have a list the length of my leg of books I need to read/finish. Sadnesses. I keep coming back to Castellucci, though, when I do. Music: Alternative rock, all the way. Country is occasionally forced upon me, but it's not bad. If it's on KROQ, though, it's automatically on my favorites list. I breathe that radio station. I'll be devastated when I move out of its criminally small broadcasting radius. Hobbies: Go ahead, guess the first one. Good job! I'm also (slowly) trying to turn my other hobbies - cooking, photography, jewelry and sculpting - into something relatively useful. Keep your fingers crossed. Likes: Food, pyrotechnics, history, clouds, fall, creative spurts and hats. Dislikes: People, as a rule, and cat litter; neither is good in large quantities. |
