![]() Author has written 6 stories for August Rush, Boy In the Striped Pajamas, Haunting in Connecticut, and Harry Potter. Hello, there. My real name is Cassandra. I get my pen name from my dog's name, Roxxi May. I'm obsessed with the concept of music, literature, and the arts. I play 3rd chair clarinet in my school marching band, and 2nd chair violin in my school's orchestra. MUSIC: Rock, Heavy metal, Slipknot, Within Temptation, Stone Sour, Metallica, Halestorm, Marilyn Manson, Murderdolls, etc, and classical music, oldies [1920s-1960s] The Beatles, Glenn Miller, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Brahms. Books: Harry Potter series, The Hunger Games series, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Edgar Allan Poe, historical fiction, and dystopian fiction. Writing and music make up my life. Nothing is more important to me. Ships I Enjoy: Haunting in CT: Jonah/Wendy (I think I may have invented this pairing...!) Harry Potter: Fred/Hermione The Hunger Games: Katniss/Peeta Misc: Spencer Reid/Emily Prentiss (Criminal Minds) Information Concerning Current Stories: Out of the Valley: Originally started as an experimental one-shot (See first chapter) that I decided to write while writing 'The Things You Don't Know' (now obsolete). I eventually decided I liked that idea better, firstly because I could weave in what I had planned for Jonah/Janine in 'TTYDK', via the backstory with Jonah/Virginia. Meanwhile, I could take things in a super original direction, 1. Being the first author to have reincarnated-Jonah interact with the entire family, and 2. First author to give the faintest hint of Jonah/Wendy. Jonah and Wendy are my two very favorite characters and I always found some odd romantic implications throughout the movie (Wendy having his old bedroom [not Matt] being the first to identify Jonah's name via her research, and seeing Jonah in said bedroom and getting scared while in reality he was trying to protect her). Pictures/Fun stuff for 'OOTV' : Virginia (before haircut, c. 1924, portrayed by Olive Thomas); Virginia (after bob, 1925-death, also Olive Thomas); James and Alma Herrell (c. 1927) SOUNDTRACK/SCORE FOR 'OUT OF THE VALLEY' Jonah and Virginia's LOVE THEME ; composed by Angelo Badalamenti for the French romantic movie, "A Very Long Engagement," which is set in the early 20s. It fits the passionate, tragic, old-fashioned love between them. WENDY AND JONAH ; composed by Alexandre Desplat for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". I picked this one because it's mournful, ghostly, subtle and secretive - like their relationship. They have to keep their interaction a secret. Jonah's MELANCHOLY THEME; composed by Angelo Milli for "Seven Pounds." It's beautiful and quiet. Whenever I listen to it I just get a vision of Jonah's sad, icy blue eyes. The subtle electronic noises throughout represent the strange technology he is suddenly surrounded and bewildered by. More to come, as I find new pieces of music and situations to stick them to. THE ROOM WITH THE BIDS: 'The Virus of Life' by Slipknot. It's weird sounding, but hey, it grew on me, maybe it'll grow on you... |
