Author has written 15 stories for Warcraft, X-Men: The Movie, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Mass Effect, and Deus Ex. I never realized I was a fan fiction writer until I started with my story "Quest for Peace" (on hiatus at this time), which is a World of Warcraft fan fiction story that centers around new heroes who only want to see their world in peace instead of the ever-lasting strife that's been going on for aeons. When I went over my other English stories it turned out I'd written my fair share of fan fic already, mainly in the Buffyverse. One of those stories will be published here in the future when I'm done polishing it (it's more than eight years old). Recently I also rediscovered Doctor Who. I've seen the old series when I was very young and I could only remember the TARDIS and a man with a funny coat and a multi-colored scarf, who travelled through time and space. When watching Syfy (awful name, btw, why not just Scifi?) I stumbled upon the episode in which the Tenth Doctor meets Donna for the first time and I was hooked right away. David Tennant is a brilliant actor and it saddened me to see him go. That last line - "I don't want to go" - got the tears flowing, because I really didn't want him to go either. The Eleventh Doctor is kinda nice too, but I miss Ten's intensity and that dark edge that sometimes surfaced. And the fact that he could regenerate into a Ten-and-a-half tells me this was a really special incarnation. I hope that when the time comes for the Doctor to say goodbye to his Eleventh form, Ten will somehow exert himself and come back (yeah, keep dreaming). And that's why my Doctor Who fics center around Ten. I just love him! I also write a lot of Dutch stories and poems (and some English ones too) that aren't related to any fandom, so you won't find them here. My stories consist of mostly fantasy, science fiction or horror. They can be viewed on my homepage, which is another hobby of mine (and one that I've been neglecting quite a bit in the last year due to my study). I'm an avid gamer, I've been playing games ever since my parents got themselves a Compaq computer and bought my sister and me a Nintendo 8-bit (Duckhunt and Doctor Mario for the win!). My favorite game genres are Real Time Strategy, First Person Shooters and RolePlaying Games. Among my favorite games are Bioshock, Diablo I & II, StarCraft, WarCraft III, World of Warcraft, Command & Conquer (every game they made from Tiberiun Sun on), Plants vs. Zombies, Universe at War, Mass Effect and so on. And those are only my favorite pc-games! I still own a classic Game Boy (also owned a GB Color and a GB Advance), currently have a Wii (owned the 8-bit, the 64-bit, the Gamecube), once owned the first X-box and now I have a PSP with a hilarious game called Patapon 2. Among my favorite non-pc-games are Eternal Darkness (still play it on the Wii, one of THE BEST Nintendo games EVER), Zelda and the Ocarina of Time, Rising Sun 1 and 2, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Patapon 2 (hehe) and Metroid Prime (I think the latest Metroid is a bit... off). I also read a lot, again mainly fantasy, science fiction and horror. I watch a lot of movies (guess what genres?) and I also like comedies or thrillers from time to time. I'm a big fan of comics, I have a lot of issues of X-Men stacked away in my book case, along with Spawn, Spider-Man and loads of short series. My favorite comicverse is the X-Men universe and my favorite comic character has always been Wolverine. I'm not much of a fan of the comic Sabretooth and I really don't approve of the whole 'Romulus'-thing they've done with the 'feral mutants'. I do however like Liev Schreiber's Sabretooth, he's just right somehow. That's it from me, if you have any questions or just want to say something, contact me. I won't promise an answer, but I'll try! |
