Meanwhile, Gabriella’s bat had swung up and hit the ball at full force, nearly hitting him. The anger she felt was radiating in her kneecaps it was so strong. She felt faint with frustration and hurt.

Troy grabbed the ball she’d just hurled and served it back. He muttered while he swung, “Well, I love you.” As soon as he said it he wished he could take it back. The realisation on Gabriella’s beautiful features was hard to handle.

"Yes, Gabriella...I...I, think ...Iloveyou!" He rushed out the last words, but she heard them perfectly. She turned round, and their noses were nearly touching.

“Vanessa…” I’m caught off guard, you never call me by my full name, and it’s always Ness, Nessa, V, and never Vanessa.

“I need to get this off of my chest so I’m just going to say it.” You’re starting to scare me.

As you draw in another deep breath I start to become impatient.

“I…err…well. Iloveyou.” You say the last part so fast; it was kind of hard to know what you said. That and the fact that I think my ears are deceiving me. It sounded like you just said ‘I love you.’ No it’s not possible. You don’t love me…wait, do you?

“Y-you wh-what?” Great, now I’m a stuttering idiot. Way to go Vanessa.

“I said I love you. I always have loved you. Ever since the day we met. I love you, I’m in love with you.” My eyes go wide and I have to clue how to react. You, Zac Efron, my best friend just confessed your love for me. I didn’t think this would ever happen. I’ve always thought you only liked me as a friend. This is…unexpected? Those three words have me in shock and I’m not sure what to do. I study your face for minute; you’re completely serious. I breathe heavily for a moment and shake my head a little before smashing my lips into yours. It’s soft and passionate, the one kiss I’ve been longing for.

This one is too long for me to put so go read Interruption No More by Persephone Lemonade. It was a little drabble for the 2008 ZA Angels Olympics Drabble Decathlon. It was to only contain 100 words.

“Troy, I don’t wanna go. I don’t wanna go without you. It won’t be the same without you. You complete me.” She broke down.

“Gabi, of course you wanna go. It’s been your dream since forever. Don’t let me stop you, ok? You’re too amazing and that spot at Princeton is calling your name. You know that. Don’t let our love stop you because you know that our love will always be. Princeton is a once in a lifetime chance.” I told her, cupping her face with my hands.

“But...”

“No buts, Gabi.” I said. “You are going to New Jersey, you’re going to kick some Princeton ass and you’re going to make me prouder than I already am of you. You’re going to become the world’s greatest Scientist and Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein won’t have shit on you.” She smiled at that last sentence. I smiled too.

“I love you, Troy Bolton. You and all that you are.”

“I love you too, Montez. And like I’ve told you before, you’re fucking bad ass. You are going to kick ass and show your stuff. People are going to want to be you. Not be like you, no. BE YOU.”

“You’re so silly, my Wildcat.”

“I’m not silly. It’s the truth, Montez.” I said. “Look, before you go, there’s something else I’ve gotta say. The tomorrow when we're not together has arrived and there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. Trust me on this one, Montez.” I smirked and more tears, which I quickly wiped, rolled down her cheeks. “But the most important thing I want you to remember is, even if we're apart, I’ll always be with you; in good, in bad, and in ugly. I’ll always be just one phone call away. Call me WHENEVER. Any hour of the day. Whether it is just to talk or if you have an impossible math problem that you just can’t understand, I’ll try to help you to the best of my ability.” I said as more tears rolled down her cheeks. “I’m here, Montez. I always will be.” I repeated to her. I kissed her softly and let her go so that she could say goodbye to her mother.
