I can pretend that I am someone important. After a day of just shuffling along, getting pushed around and ignored, it's absolutely fulfilling to write something that at least one other person will like, maybe even adore. And when I get those happy reviews, I feel like I'm on cloud nine. o0o0o0o0o Why do I write fan fiction? Because I can imagine. I can imagine that I hit my head against the concrete wall, my vision turning blurry and my senses wavering. I can imagine the pleasure-pain of cutting my arms, the thin blood staining my skin, leaving bright red blotches on the floor, which eventually fades to a dull brown. I can imagine the swift beating of my heart as I keep my head underwater, struggling against the instinctive desire to surface for air. I can imagine the annoying stickiness of the my breath as it mists inside the plastic bag which snugly covers my head. I can imagine the muscle-freezing pain that comes from a tree limb impaling my torso. I can imagine the excruciating headache that comes from hitting the road as a truck barrels through. I can imagine all these things, savoring the imaginary pain, because I cannot do it in reality. o0o0o0o0o Why do I write fan fiction? Because I can see. I can see various situations that are applicable to certain characters. Ideas suddenly pop up at odd moments and in differing quantities. Plus, it is much easier to mold the story to the pre-made characters, than making characters, molding them to the story, rehashing the characters, rewriting the story, and eventually lose them. o0o0o0o0o Why do I write fanfiction? Because I can. 0o0o0o0 My name's Seyyan (and we all know that's not my real name, but you can call me that anyway), and I'm not famous yet. But eventually I will be, when I start writing regularly (and who knows when that time will come). I like getting reviews from you, because I get to answer them. Doesn't that seem more human when you get replies to the questions you send to the void? I think so. I love immersing myself in the world of manga and anime. I always get story ideas, but I rarely put them down on paper (or in this case, on MS Word paper). Times like that, I wish I could write whatever I could think of without using my hands--kind of like telepathy of sorts, only it's from my mind to my computer. Wouldn't that be cool? Not to mention, very convenient So far, I have written stories for Gravitation, Ouran Host Club, Prince of Tennis, and Fruits Basket (which I will be rehashing in the future). I used to have one under DN ANGEL (which i think is a very cute series, by the way), but I took it down, since nobody was taking notice of it. Which is really, really sad. Maybe someday, I will write for DN Angel again. Oh, and one more thing. Save rice! Happy Reading everyone! |
