Hey, I'm Roadrunner!

... and it’s definitely time for updating this. LOL

I know that some of you are waiting anxiously for updates on the last two unfinished stories. YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN! I have to admit that it gets increasingly difficult to get into those stories. I intend to finish them, though. Just don’t know when… Sorry.

When I stumbled over fanfiction.net in November 2006 I thought that I’d only read some of the excellent stories I found. Then I believed I’d write the Criminal Intent and SVU stories I had in mind but noticed soon that that was an illusion as well. Oneshots wormed their way out and other longer plot bunnies started to bug me. I was also mistaken when I thought that I would stick with CI and SVU. LOL As I love crossovers I had a look at a story of my first favourite author and got hooked on Torchwood.

I'm still mad at the persons in charge of CI for letting the show end, and at RTD for killing Ianto, radio play or not... For some reason the TV bosses seem to kill all my favourite characters. They’ll live on fanfics!

As you can see up there, I’m from Germany. And because I was already asked by fellow authors… if you want to let Bobby Goren (or anyone else) speak in his second language and need a translation, feel free to PM me.

I can’t help crossovers. I start a story for a certain category and when I’m finished it happens to be a cross again. My chat-friends told me I should think about changing my penname to something with “cross” in it… but I won’t. I love crossovers, but I’m a roadrunner… LOL

I also like happy endings. But there are no happy endings without having a hard time first… In writing I can be sadistic. Something I have in common with blucougar57. :D

I don’t ship just for the ship’s sake. I can write canon-relationships, but I also like to experiment with pairings, incl. slash. When it comes to Torchwood I’m open to almost anything except Gwack! Honestly, if poor Rhys wouldn’t be quite so unhappy there I’d ship PC Cooper to the Antarctica. Character exploration is what is most fascinating for me about writing and a romantic relationship just is one part of it.

Well, I invite you all to read my stuff. Please leave a review and share your opinion with me so that I have a chance to become better. I joined fanfiction for the possibility of exchange between the authors and (I have to admit that) I’m also really curious…(some day this will kill me)… ;-) Thanks to all readers in advance.

For all of you who think I didn’t do much this year, you’re not entirely correct. I didn’t post much, that’s right, but here is what is in progress and planned:

SVU

The sequel to 48 Hours… is not forgotten, but on ice for now.

Strange Attraction is supposed to be finished sooner or later.

CI

The Locust (crossover with SVU/CSI:NY and cameos). I had the idea to make this a trilogy, but that was a very-long-time plan that I don't plan to pick up on soon.

In a Flash (in progress - first two chapters co-authored by Obsessedwithstabler), is supposed to be finished sooner or later because I hate unfinished business. The muse doesn't share this opinion...

Lifeblood (in progress) - a collaboration with InfinityStar; Lifeblood is put up on InfinityStar's account

Torchwood

I started to work on Time To Heal, the sequel to Time To Be Bled and my take on Countrycide's aftermath. At first they were planned as one pretty long story, but I decided to split them up and make them a series. I have an idea for a third part, but we'll have to see how it develops. It’s still supposed to be finished but I’m currently working on other plot bunnies

One is my take on a Doomsday AU, Torchwood Three and Ianto's point of view. It now has 48 chapters and should start to be posted soon.

Another is Prodigy, a Torchwood crossover where Ianto is being followed and his forgotten past threatens to catch up with him. The team is reeling to keep him safe… Right now I'm not working on this one, even though it's tickling me every now and then... *sigh*

And the last one is my NaNo project, Odyssey, another Torchwood crossover. The team investigates mysterious disappearances and all of a sudden one of them is left behind, struggling to find the others who were taken away from Earth. And this time even Jack is helpless. This is NOT a Dr. Who crossover! - I wish I wouldn't be stuck on this one! I was so enthusiastic about finishing it when I started posting, and now I'm stuck for SO long. Sorry, guys!

The plan was to finish a longer story before posting to avoid pressure with updating, but that seems to be impossible.

Highlander

Yep, you read right. Highlander's on the list as well, even though nothing is posted here so far. I started writing on a Torchwood/Highlander crossover featuring Ianto and Methos as main characters and another Methos story where the Old Man is abducted by a serial killer...

Both are currently suspended because I helped a fellow author with her story... and found a new friend. :D As a result we now have a shared account, Dagger & Sword, where we post what we wrote together.

Please bear with me when I can't keep up with the speed my muse is throwing plot bunnies at me. I enjoy writing, but giving in to pressure I wouldn't get anything written at all. Thanks for reading and commenting.
