![]() Author has written 1 story for Naruto. Hilo. This is the oddest writer in the west coming to you live. Not. Actually, I'm pretty mundane. I guess that I am a bit of a conformist myself. Nothing special about me. Nope. Bit of a fresh writer, still young. So far, I'm working on Naruto fanfiction. I'll try my best to stick with it and update as much as I can, as fast as I can. Okay, that's all great, but what genre do you write, the readers say. ACTION! ADVENTURE! FRIENDSHIP! EXPLOSIONS (that's should be a genre in and of itself)! AND DRAMA (sort of; personally, I think that there's enough in real life to tide me over)! So I'll try to stick to steel-clashing madness (and whatever challenge I get). So what do I like in my fanfics? People. Actual people. Men acting like guys, women acting like true women, and people being true people. Honestly, originality is fantastic but if you can take it and make it your own--and make it good, then by all means, do it! We will love you for it! What do I dislike in fanfics? Gosh awful spelling and grammar that does not express an actual style of speech or is in character. (You know what I mean Ms. "then then theey keesed and it been good", and Mr. "n thn she tuk off her clothes". If you mess up every once in a while, that's more than cool, but make an effort to fix it. ) Impossible pairings that aren't even funny. (If they didn't meet in the series, don't expect them to fall in love all of a sudden. If they did meet and it was horribly mind or body scarring, don't expect them to come together in the consensual romance of the century--unless you're good enough to pull it off and can create circumstances so good that they will. If they don't express any interest in each other in the story, they probably do not have enough chemistry for anything to even begin.) OCs that take over the story. ('Nuff said.) Badly done overused plots. (If the idea wasn't good over there, and it's not good here, then just delete it. If your imagination runs dry, then hand the fic to someone else with an idea. However, if it's funny, interpret the last five statements as you will. Totally. My Posted (or soon-to-be-posted) Works Comfort Eagle (To be finished after WND and much cleanup) Will Negates Defeat More to come soon! So the above was written years ago, when I still had enough focus to work on one story and enough obsessive drive to want to make it a reality above all else. Some of it's still true, but now I mostly write drama and sex-driven wank fodder. One day I do still want to finish those stories, but I'm not sure when that will be, or if it will ever be.
Follow your dreams, but remember to pay the bills, kids. | |||||||
