I am a 40 something sci-fi, adventure, mystery, western, etc. fan living in Western Canada.

When I was much younger and well before the advent of 'fanfic' I used to make up stories in my head about my favorite TV show, book and movie characters. They were just for my own amusement and just in my head. It never occurred to me to write them down. I didn't discover fanfic until I watched the X-files and then I just settled for reading it. It wasn't until Stargate SG-1 that my friend infinite shadow goaded me into writing something down. I have written 4 stories for Stargate which will all be posted here shortly. Two of them were previously posted on Heliopolis and I am going to put them here just to have everything in one place.

My current fascination is with Pirates of the Caribbean. I have a large selection of writers whose stories I am happily following.

Many thanks to my friend infinite shadow who not only got me started but also acts as my beta reader. You keep me honest kid.

March 1/08 - I have now posted my first fanfiction stories here. I have a couple of other items to post soon.

I do intend to write more POTC stories but I am a little hindered by an original story that I have been working on for the last two years. The fact that I have been working on it for so long does not necessarily mean that it is good, it just means that I am a very slow writer. :) The story itself is finished and I am just editing and typing it up. You can tell I am an old fashioned type since I do all of my first drafts on paper in longhand. I hope to post this story on a non-fanfic website when it is complete.

April 28/08 - I have just come back from three weeks in New Zealand on holiday. It was wonderful. A friend and I did a Lord of the Rings tour that was great. If anyone is going there and wants a recommendation just send me an email. I now must catch up on my reading and start my own writing and postng again. It will take time but I will get there.
