![]() Author has written 13 stories for Monsters Inc., Inside Out, Star Wars, and Star Wars Rebels. Gender: Female Age: 21 NOTE: I made it my own policy to limit author notes at each chapters as much as possible due to its tendency to take up word count. The only time I will publicly respond to reviews is on Deviantart publications of my story, where I can make plenty of commentary there without cluttering word count. Also, having read many fanfictions, there seems to be the danger of excessive commentary in author notes that bring the story to a halt. In addition, I openly comment on the making of each chapter on its Deviantart posting, while on Fanfiction.net, I felt it more appropriate to let the writing itself do most of the speaking, and only engage in author notes to regard updates or significant errors in the story. As an experiment, it turns out that when I complete a fanfic on , I go back and update each chapter with author's notes. I try to avoid writing OC-driven stories and limit the amount of OCs in fanfics. Original Characters of mine must further the psyche, characterization, and history of the canon character. Yes, there are well-written love interest OCs and love child OCs out there on Fanfiction.net, but having a canon character "develop" through the romance (or birth of, in cases of a love child) with an OC, are seldom done well because it subjects canon characters to maudlin writing and superficial wish fulfillment of the author's mind. But as long as the pitfalls are avoided, then I'm open to any well-written story no matter the amount of OCs. Currently, all my fanfic plans are Monsters University related. I value a substantial one-paragraph review more than 10 Favorites/Alerts. That's how much I appreciate constructive criticism. Released Works More Than OK, Completed. A Monsters University story about the origin of the Oozma Kappa and Don Carlton's story. I have hesitated on writing this story for a time because the Blu-ray edition of M.U. has yet to be released, thus I may be missing out on the background and history of the O.K. gang, that is, if the special features, and Dan Scanlon's commentary does extend on their history (and not to mention the possible upcoming Pixar M.U. shorts films). But I decided to proceed on writing it because, yes, I have a story for Oozma Kappa (and Don Carlton as well) and maybe I can't stay exactly true to canon, but I will respect the spirit of canon. Not to mention it has been a great exercise in respecting canon material while featuring original interpretations and additions to the characterization (particularly with few unconventional liberties I took with characters Don and Sheri). And I do have followups planned. NOTE: There will be revisions done to it there as part of me regrets how some plot points form. The Musings of Terry Perry- Experimental fanfiction that traces story arcs and character growth through various articles, short stories, letters, journal entries, composed by Terry Perry, through his MU and later MI years as he buds as a man and a writer. A somewhat Meta-fanfictions that explores the many techniques of writing and sources of inspirations of the budding writer. So basically, I am not just writing this as an MU fanfiction writer, but also a Creative Writing major. Planned Works yet-to-be released(Note: These titles are working-titles) Past Curfew - a series of four character one-shots-- Sheri, Squishy, Terry & Terri, Don-- about the Oozma Kappa introspective moments before the night of the Scare Games. This is currently a work in progress with the aid of a beta-reader. Unofficial deadline: October 2014. A Salesmonster's Proposal- To lift up Oozma Kappa's spirit after the arrest of Mike and Sulley, Don holds a meeting, discussing their cloudy future, before he tries to return to his old apartment. THREE-SHOT taking place after the Scare Games and before Hardscrabble accepts OK into the Scaring Program. ETA: November 2014 The Mother of Oozma Kappa - A multi-chapter prequel/sequel sorts for "More Than OK" (based on Sheri's and Don's dialogue in Chapter 13) and a subtle origin story for Oozma Kappa about the Team Mom of Oozma Kappa. As Sheri Squibbles enters a blissful marriage, she recounts her past: her unfinished Scaring education under the then-Professor Hardscrabble and her days before her pregnancy with Scott. Offers glimpses of Hardscrabble's past and Johnny Worthington's background. Graduation- A sort of "epilogue" to the Oozma Kappa fanfictions starting from "More Than OK." With the expelled Sulley and Michael, currently scream-can wranglers at MI, looking on, Oozma Kappa graduates and enjoy the happiness they had worked so hard for. A Lull in the Conversation- Terry & Terri listen to visiting guest speaker, Worthington Sr. After the lecture, Terry spies Shirley Worthington sitting by, no one paying much attention to her. While others gawk at her husband, Terry strikes up a conversation with her and learns more about Johnny Worthington and ROR in this one meaningful conversation than he did in the past semesters. Abigail - An archive of Hardscrabble's speeches and articles from her MU days when she founded the Scare Games, to her hiring at MI and friendship with Waternoose, to the industry switch to Laugh Energy. Post MI- multi-chaptered story about the switch to Laughter energy and the effect on the Monsters World for better or worse. Constructive reviews are welcomed. Go in depth! |
