Hey guys! My name’s RioTheRiver.

UPDATE: I was pulled away from writing for a while for some family issues, sorry :(. I’ll be honest, I had time to write, but my life has been changed a little bit, and I didn’t feel like myself, and I really didn’t feel like writing my usual sort of cheery story.

However, I’m adjusting and finally got the urge to write again. I have the end of Gorgeous written, so I will post it soon, once editing is done. I appreciate the patience, sorry for the long & unexpected break!

I’ve been lurking around this website for years and I’ve finally stolen the courage from a braver, cooler person to start my own account. I’m a weirdly nervous to post my stories, even though I’m not even using my own characters... So please, go easy on me:) But anyway, here’s to a successful career on Fanfiction, a fun experience and writing practice. Banzai!

Fandoms

Well, my main fandom, and passion in life, is Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons. I’ve played HM:DS, IoH, GB, AP, MM, ToTT, aNB, SOS, and ToT. Sorry if you don’t play Harvest Moon and that looks like a load of nonsense:) I have a list of specific couples I ship, but I can’t be bothered to write them out at the momement. You’ll soon learn that, yes, I usually am that lazy. Anyway my fave HM couples are NeilxRio, Velsea and NadixMinori. As you can see, I am hardcore into most tsundere bachelors and, strangely, Dirk from GB. He’s a bit of an anomaly.

Other stuff I really like is OHSHC, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Skyrim, Fairy Tail, Miraculous Ladybug, The Lunar Chronicles, Dragon Quest, Sherlock, and a whole bunch of other ones I can’t even think of right now, and will likely add later. I’m most comfortable writing Harvest Moon right now, but would like to try and challenge myself at some point.

I am a huge nerd. I read obsessively, play most nintendo consoles, waste my life watching TV and spend any time in between reading manga. And, yes, you’re right, I do terribly in school XD. Anyway, chances are if you ask me about another fandom, I will a) be a committed member, b) Have some sort of opinion on it, or c) at least have heard of it.

I am always open to new book/game/show/manga suggestions. I have to have something to do instead of homework.

My OTPs are Gajevy, NeilxRio, Wolflet, Adrienette, and those two two cute boys I saw ice skating together and holding hands that one time. And yes, I know that’s more than one true pairing, but I have a lot of love to give, okay?

I have loved books for my entire life. I also enjoy writing, and fanfic gives me a fun way to do that. The day that I discovered that people had actually written stories about all my favourite books and games... wow... Life-changing. Or more accurately, grade-changing. Haven’t gotten above a B since! Hahaha. Yeah... Probably shouldn’t be so casual about that...

P.S Any observant Harvest Moon fans out there will notice I share a name with the MC of A New Beginning. This is actually just a happy coincidence, as I’ve been using RioTheRiver as a online name/ pseudonym for a while now. I got the “Rio” in my name from the song “Rio” by DuranDuran. Great song, check it out. And Rio means river in Spanish, so I put the two together, and thought it sounded catchy. Just a little bit of contextual background for everyone -
