Lionheart 39 chapter 3 . 3/26/2019 Love this thank you! |
imnotokaywiththerunning chapter 3 . 4/17/2014 I very much so enjoyed this. It was brilliant. I loved the Master and the Brigadier. I've never read anything with the two of them and this was really great. :) |
Witchy Bee chapter 3 . 1/19/2013 This was very touching, extremely in-character and, as the Doctor would say, brilliant. You are brilliant. |
Vi-Violence chapter 3 . 9/19/2012 Very nice. |
Kai-Alaric chapter 3 . 3/16/2012 I really, really loved reading this! The interaction between the Brig and Koschei is adorable. |
timano chapter 3 . 1/3/2012 A well-written and thoroughly enjoyable story! You fleshed out the characters fully and accurately, and although the Master isn't quite as we see him on the screen, I can certainly believe he'd act this way, given the circumstances. Even back in the 3rd Doctor's era, there was more friendship than animosity between the two, much of the time. It was only the later Masters that seemed to become more insanely intent on the Doctor's destruction for no real reason. 10 out of 10 stars! |
Ravenpan chapter 3 . 11/10/2011 OMG! This was brilliant :) (you make me want to snuggle Master. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you, but it *is* unusual.) Oh this was FABULOUS! 3 |
Ravenpan chapter 2 . 11/10/2011 Oh I LOVED this! |
Ravenpan chapter 1 . 11/10/2011 *squeals* oh my goodness! |
Tzuzuku chapter 3 . 8/28/2011 That's a great story. I had a lot of fun reading it. Although, I must admit that the ending came a bit abrupt for my taste... but hey, that's just me. Incidentally, I felt reminded of a wonderful novel I once read: "Face of the Enemy", which is one of the old Doctor Who novels, and features the Brigadier and the Master working together to stop an invasion of Earth while the Doctor is absent having some kinda adventure with Jo Grant. If you want to read another story where the Brig and the master work together (during the UNIT years) I can recommend that book. The way those two join forces there is just awesome. Also, it features Ian and Barbara (companions of teh first Doctor) - and Barbara befriending the Master... |
Desiree1717 chapter 2 . 7/5/2011 A story involving the Brigadier and the Master is such a good idea, and well done too! I really like the plot and characterizations. There's only one mistake that I've noticed so far. In the middle of chapter two you write "The Master stared at the woman on the screen, carefully taking stalk of her as well." That should be "taking stock" as in inventory, rather than "stalk," a plant stem. All around good story though. Great job. |
Aietradaea chapter 3 . 6/14/2011 :O What a sweet, sad, happy fic! I love how even though you never actually told anything from the Master's point of view - always the Brigadier - you still managed to get across so poignantly and clearly what might have been going on in his head. Poor Master - he's been through so much...but I really felt by the end, just from how he appeared to the Brigadier, and the way you described his actions, that he really /had/ been healed in the mind. Ah, it could /only/ have been the Brigadier! I'd repeat what I said in my first review here - so practical, just what the Master needed. (Heh...would I be right in guessing you've left that few hours of Time Lord alone time there for the slashers to fill in with their imaginations? :P ) Methinks this one's going on my favourites ASAP. Great work from start to finish. *round of applause* :D |
Aietradaea chapter 2 . 6/14/2011 Aha, I see what you meant when you said I'd like this chapter if I was a fan of UNIT stuff and the Brigadier - and you were spot on! I loved it! :D The Brigadier was fantastic, telling off those soldiers and sorting them all out. What a reliable pillar of authority he is... You've got everything about him down pat /so/ beautifully. Good old UNIT-era style plot, too - aye, lots of booms! :) And I suppose the Master was right, that it doesn't really matter who was behind it all. In the end, that's not really the point of this fic, I'm thinking... |
Ash-Varnei chapter 3 . 6/8/2011 Really liked this story. I especially like the characterisation of the Master - very realistic. ;) |
LeonaWriter chapter 3 . 6/7/2011 That was beautiful. In that first chapter, figuring out the events of the Doctor's death, I was actually thinking 'wow. No one's gone down that route before'. It's so simple, effective, but packs so much of a punch. And you wrote the Master and how he deals with it all perfectly. Mean it. The uncertainty, trying to figure out who he is without the person who's been a driving force... even the name. I wish I knew what he chose. And I loved that you had him team up with the Brigadier. It wouldn't have worked in the same way for anyone else. |
