I really like this! Your descriptions of the cake alone are delicious (heehee), and I love Lucius's sinful, not-so-sweet smile. I like that it's just a moment in time, seemingly insignificant but charged with so much symbolism and foreshadowing. And you write Cissy very well.

Also, not to nag, but are you planning on updating your series' anytime soon? It's been a while, and I miss them all, especially LRTR.

YAY IT'S FINALLY WORKING! Seriously, I've been trying all day to read it, and it was working for a while but I didn't have time to read it, and when I did have time it wasn't working again. But now it is!

Anyways. I like this. And I'm curious to see how your Cissy/Lucius relationship timeline develops, at just what age he stops seeing her as Bella's little sister and starts seeing her as a romantic interest. I love how you write Lucissa!

I like this sentence: "She would trace it like one of Lucius Malfoy's smiles – stiff, resistant . .. but rather sweet all the same." Aw!

This all seems very Gossip Girl to me - Blair's ED and her relationship with her mother. But that might be because I've been watching a lot of Gossip Girl recently and am making connections where there aren't any.

Ooh, sugar violets. And strawberries. Let's steal all of Cissy's cakes, yes?

I like the appearance of Sirius! And the "a troll, a hag, and a Mudblood" joke.

Anyway, this story was very sweet! I liked it very much. :D

I just love the whole idea of temptation throughout this, and how Narcissa really wants the cake, but she has to refrain herself from doing so. I am thinking that it may be because of pureblood etiquette and the fact that she knows that it is bad for her.

This line:

"Bad for you. Everyone knows it's bad for you."

Does this relate somewhat to in LRTR when Narcissa is battling anorexia? or is it just because that these thoughts that she is having are bad and she has pureblood expectations to live up to?

I also loved the little snippets in this with Priscilla Parkinson telling Sirius her: a hag, a troll and mudblood joke and he refuses to laugh which I adore because it creates this idea that he hates this pureblood society.

Also the friend of Lucius’s going through his repertoire of half breed jokes. It just creates this idea of how they all prejudice and judgemental which is what is what we see with purebloods in books. I just love also that whilst this is going on Narcissa finds it tedious as her attention is focused entirely on the cake.

Oh, the last bit was just pure sweetness and I love the sense of Lucissa!

OMG OMG OMG.

You literally made me go "Aaawww" at the end. This was just SO freaking sweet ( ;] ) and adorable. I love how you described the cake and Cissy's reaction to it. For a minute, I thought maybe she was just a little girl the way she stared at the cake!

I love how she's finding an excuse to... eat the cake? I think. It seems like she really wants to eat it - or fantasize about herself eating it. (Especially if you're following the ED pattern/theme.) You know, obsessing over food even though it's the one thing she loathes. Plus she mentions that it's "bad for you".

Well, no matter. It was a lovely story (as always) and really made my night (seriously). Lucius is just so kind and gentle. He knows her already, knows her ins and outs. God, I love them together. Lol.
