Reviews for Saving Sirius
stevem1 chapter 1 . 10/5
Thanks for the story.

Snape is not a good guy.
Majerus chapter 1 . 9/13
That was fun!
The idiots don't think Snape is a good guy, they are fanbois /fangrls of Alan Rickman. The difference is that the books detail how much of a genuinely sick bastard you have to be to become a DE - which snivellus willingly did. The greasiest DE had only one side: Snape's side.
The movies portray him as more of a tragic hero - and Alan Rickman had a fantastic voice (agrees, RIP Alan) and 'penetrating gaze' that the fancritters somehow found sexy. *vomits*
Also, thanks for the fun story!

Love fics where One Responsible Adult, doing the things that Responsible Adults would do, can change everything. Only thing? As a Snape fan: BOOO!
gabzep chapter 1 . 4/10
Unfortunately with JKR having our Hero Harry name one of his kids Severus and saying how brave he was make some of us forgive and forget his bad behavior.
He was a jerk tho

Cateagle chapter 1 . 12/3/2019
Very, very satisfying variant to the end of the third book. I'm not at all fussed about whatever happened to Snape (for all I know, his unconscious body was transformed into a cow patty and then hit with a very strong Evanesco; alternatively, the transformation was skipped). In any case, Snape's departure from the scene is a good thing for the Light (no matter what Dumbledore may claim).

I'm glad Snape didn't get away in your story. He is a petty vindictive bully who wanted two innocent people killed to satifsy the old grudges. He deserves everything he gets.
mumphie chapter 1 . 9/23/2019
As per your A/N - I think those people confuse Alan Rickman with Snape. They either conveniently forget how NASTY Snape was in the book, never read it, or are just delusional. My son and I also are irritated with those who 'ship' either Malfoy with Hermione. Honestly, calling her the 'M' word is as bad as a real life 'N' word. And they expect her to forget all that and become a puddle of goo when he smiles at her? Ick.
Anywho -i pretty much agree with your stances. :)

I think you give the wider population's intellectual attainment too much credit; the number of such moronic people on this site is not inordinate. ;) Thank you for sharing your wonderful muse!

I say Sirius liked Ron's suggestion and took action. Question is... what kind of bat did Sirius transform into? Was A) a bat that is an animal or B) a Beater's bat? I'd say less chance of Snape waking and flying off if he was changed into a beater's bat but Sirius may see it as too much of an insult to his beloved sport. Also Snape is called the Dungeon Bat, so the animal is more likely.

And yes I agree, Snape is NOT a good guy. I really hate his character but hate the book 7 even more. So much of that feels so off from rest of the series. Frankly Snape wasn't a spy for the good side for that long, barely a year. So many Snape fans act as if Snape was risking life and limb for so long. I call bullshit. It wasn't until AFTER Voldemort targeted the Potters, thus engendering Lily, that Snape became a spy. And THAT wasn't until around time Harry was born.
The war lasted 11 years. The 'light side' was already loosing when 'the miracle' happened and Voldie bit the dust. So the single year (year a half at most) that Snape was a spy didn't help that much.
