Just a short poem based on the boarding schools in Jane Eyre. First writing, so please R&R!

Jane denies it when Rochester accuses her of being a spirit from another world. But she doesn't deny the existence of such spirits. Why? Because she's seen them before. Set during Jane's first terrible year at Lowood.

This is one of those 'what if' adaptations. I've always wondered why Mr Rochester had to be broken so thoroughly before he could be happy with Jane Eyre. What if she had not been able to get away, what if he had been waiting by her door a second time, pleading her to stay? Would she indeed have lost herself and been made his mistress?

What if Jane Eyre had powers that Mr. Rochester described? If Jane was an enchantress, would the story play out differently? How would their love story be told? (I do not own any of the characters, that honor belongs to Charlotte Bronte). Rated T for now. Jane/Rochester
