Hello, everybody! My name is Jenny Rose, though those of you here on FFN and other parts of the Internet know me better as Lady Mayflower.

Starting in 2004, I came to this website as a way to step into the fan-fiction writing world. The next eleven years that followed were some of the best of my life, as the medium, the website, and the community helped me reach out to brand-new people and refine my skills and techniques in ways I never would have pushed myself otherwise. As I floundered and struggled to find myself in my early years of higher learning, writing fan-fiction was always there to catch me and remind me that not everything was miserable. In the end, it's one of the things that helped push me into what I'm certain will be my lifelong career of writing and editing and bringing fantastic stories and characters to the world.

In 2010, I opened my services as a beta-reader. Ever since, I've had a host of writers come in and out of my care, writing stories from all sorts of fandoms and genres and teaching me things about life and art as much as I was teaching them. Over the past five years, I've truly found my passion for teaching young writers what I know, what I've learned, what I continue to learn, and I've used my experiences to move forward into my editing career.

I owe this website a lot when it comes to my development as a writer and editor, and I don't think I'll ever permanently put down the medium. However, I am at the point in my life when I need to move towards pursuing my future: both as a professional editor, and as a writer for Draiky and Mayflower Adventure Studios, which is the content creation company I co-founded and run with my best friend and business partner, Jen Martino. And so, it is with a bit of a bittersweet swan song that I officially step back from fan-fiction writing as a major fixture of my literary productions. However, I leave this account here, both as a record of what I've brought to the website in the past, and as a place I may return in the future when inspiration strikes and scheduling allows me a bit of play time.

Thank you so much to all of the readers and reviewers and fans I've gathered over the years! I wouldn't have found my voice and confidence so early on if it weren't for you; I owe everything I have to your love and support.
