Author has written 7 stories for Grey's Anatomy, Coronation Street, and Star Wars. Hi, I'm Chloe. Formerly 'JustAGirl'xo' and 'TheBrokenOnes'xo'. Now 'SpacePrincess'xo', for Princess Leia. Or, more importantly, Carrie Fisher. Thank you. Rest in peace, Princess, and may the force be with you. I used to write on here a year or so ago. I broke up with my psycho ex and he deleted all of my stories :(. But I'm back now, and I'm back with a vengeance. And as you can tell, I always go for the broken ones. Carla Connor Mrs. C has been my girl crush for eight years. I'm semi-in love with her. I shipped Liarla, I shipped Carter, now I ship Narla. She's just so beautiful, and independent, and strong, and I think that I am the way I am because of the influence that Carla had on my life. Sad, I know, she's a fictional character, but she was inspiration for a twelve-year-old me. She's been through so much, yet every time she's come back that little bit stronger; what's not to idolise about that? At the time of writing, she's leaving the Street for good this week, and it's going to feel like I'm losing a close friend. Addison Montgomery I only recently got back into Grey's. Addie reminded me why I loved it in the first place. And what struck me with Addison was the fact that I shipped her. Not her with particular men. Her, as a woman on her own. Like Carla, she's been through a lot of crap and a lot of heartbreak. But the way she dealt with MerDer was what I really loved about her. She was professional, and she didn't let it show that it was killing her on the inside. Emma Swan I've only just started to fall in love with Emma. She's broken, too. Not so much now, but she's been through hell, she had a rough childhood, and she's come out of it better off. And if there's any woman who's a fighter, it's her. Plus, she and Hook are hot. Meredith Grey Yes, Addison is my Grey's baby. And the love triangle thing with MerDer and Addek kind of made you choose. But I love Meredith too, because she's another fighter. And she has a rough childhood, and then Derek broke her, and then Derek died on her, but she's still going strong. So, yeah. The broken ones. As soon as a woman seeks solace in a bottle of vodka yet still gets out of bed the next day, I begin to respect them. Maybe it's a reflection of my own life. At the same time, though, I've recently discovered a new role model who isn't broken at all. In fact, she is a tower of strength, and everything that I aspire to be. Princess Leia Leia is a fighter. She watched her home planet be blown up, with her family and her entire life being destroyed with it. And yet, you would never know that it bothered her. At the age of nineteen, she led a Rebellion. At twenty-one, I still can't make toast. And the way that she bats off Han Solo at first is one of the things that I love most about her. She doesn't want to get hurt. She puts her work before anything else, and she certainly does not need a man to come to her rescue. She is a perfect role model. And if anyone has been a role model to me recently, it is Carrie Fisher, the beautiful actress who played her. I owe a lot to her. Anyway, that's me. I hope you like what I write. Chloe xoxo |
