My pen name might be what most people know me as on this site, but here's just some brief information about myself, how I began writing, my interests and such. I hope it'll allow you to get a better sense for who I am as a person and a writer.

How I Started: I had always had an interest in reading and writing, and artistic things. I was a really advanced reader, and I loved the feelings and thoughts that reading generated in me. If a book was really good, I'd pick it up and wouldn't put it down. Sometimes, I'd stay up all night just so didn't have to stop reading. Those were fun times. I began writing creatively during my sophomore year of high school, at the encouragement of the librarian and my English teacher at the time. I haven't looked back since. I write novels, scripts, short stories and songs, and I love every minute of it. I used to work at a really fast pace, but it began to affect my health and relationships, and so I scaled it back a bit, although I do still work at a pretty steady pace.

My Goal in Writing: To craft stories that cause the reader to think or feel long after they've been finished.

My Biggest Influence as a Writer: Hayao Miyazaki, the renowned animation director. He's also an artist, animator and a writer, and his works are just so inventive and brilliant.

When I'm Not Writing I'm: Listening to music, watching films or television series, learning languages, and spending time with my family. I enjoy biking and swimming during the appropriate seasons too.

A list of all the fandoms I'll write for during my time here. I include primary and secondary pairings I'll use in my stories, a brief explanation about why I write for those specific pairings, and include a bit of background as to how I became a fan of each fandom.

Yu-Gi-Oh (Anime and Manga)

Primary Pairing: Jounouchi Katsuya x Kaiba Seto

Secondary Pairing(s): Motou Yugi x Mazaki Anzu, Honda Hiroto x Kawai Shizuka

Why Those Pairings: Despite their complicated relationship, and differing backgrounds, I've always felt that Jounouchi and Kaiba had far more in common than either would like to admit. They're the furthest thing from a cannon couple, but I enjoy writing them anyway. Their mutual common ground makes their evolution from adversaries and rivals, to friends, and eventually romantic partners that much more realistic in a fic and I enjoy chronicling that evolution. That's why they're my primary pairing in this fandom. Anzu and Yugi is cannon in the manga to the best of my knowledge and they were strongly implied in the anime, so I stick with that. Honda and Shizuka are a pair that were strongly implied in the anime and I love writing Jounouchi's reaction to his sister dating one of his best friends, so that's why they're a couple in my fics.

How I Became a Fan: I grew up watching the anime. It was my first anime and it still holds a very dear place in my heart. It had action, adventure, strategy, history and mythology all wrapped into one series, and I was instantaneously hooked. I still enjoy going back and watching the series every now and then, to be honest. It's very nostalgic and it's actually aged quite well as a series.

Fairy Tail (Anime and Manga)

Primary Pairing: Grey Fullbuster x Natsu Dragneel

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: Natsu and Grey and polar opposites. They're quite literally fire and ice, and their banter is often hilarious to watch. That said, they have a really strong bond and they're always there for each other. I love writing these two, plain and simple. I'm not really all that far into the series, yet, so that's why I don't have any secondary pairings yet.

How I Became a Fan: I introduced my ex to anime and manga while we were dating. They ended up liking both mediums, and they particularly liked this show. I had always known of the show, but I didn't watch it until my ex begged me to. I gave in, and the rest is history. We may now be broken up, but I haven't let that stop me from enjoying the series at all.

Free! (Anime and Manga)

Primary Pairing: Nanase Haruka x Tachibana Makoto

Secondary Pairing(s): Ryugazaki Rei x Hazuki Nagisa, Matsuoka Rin x Yamazaki Sousuke, Nitori Aiichiro x Mikoshiba Momotaro

Why Those Pairings: Haru and Makoto are best friends in cannon, so it really is no stretch at all to write them romantically. They have an insanely close bond, and they're so in tune with one another. Nagisa and Rei are polar opposites, but also really good friends. Their individual differences make writing them as a couple so much fun. I can't picture Haru and Makoto with anyone but each other in stories, so Rin normally ends up with Sousuke. They have a long friendship, and Sousuke pushes Rin and has an understanding of his competitiveness and goals for the future. Nitori and Momo was just because they were really the only two unpaired. They share a dorm and it's easy enough to go from there, even though they are far from my favourite pairing to write.

How I Became a Fan: I went into this series with low expectations, given what had been said about it. But I gave it a fair and honest chance, and came away from the series much more impressed with it than I ever thought I would be. I started it to see what everyone was talking about, but I stayed with the series because it's just a good series, plain and simple.

Gokusen (Anime and Manga)

Primary Pairing: Sawada Shin x Yamaguchi Kumiko, Odagiri Ryu x Hayato Yabuki

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: Shin and Kumiko are cannon in the manga to the best of my knowledge, and I can't bring myself to dispute that, having watched the drama series. Ryu and Hayato as a pairing were inspired from reading a few stories written by other writers here.

How I Became a Fan: I had a friend who loved J-Dramas and K-Dramas. We're no longer friends, but she introduced me to several drama series and one of them was Gokusen. It's still my favourite drama series today. Everybody deserves to have a teacher like Kumiko in their lives.

Big Windup (Anime and Manga)

Primary Pairing: Mihashi Ren x Abe Takaya, Tajima Yuuichirou x Hanai Azusa

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: Abe and Mihashi have a unique relationship over the course of the series. Abe can't stand him because of his shy and nervous nature, but they grow to trust each other as a catcher and pitcher, respectively. They become close friends, and it's not too much of a stretch from there. Hanai and Tajima are very competitive with each other but they're also good friends. They're a lot of fun to write together because Hanai is much more composed and relaxed and Tajima is much more loud and outgoing.

How I Became a Fan: I've been a baseball fan (and a sports fan generally) for most of my life. As such, I love sports anime, and this is one of the best I've seen. I found it on Funimation's website and the rest is history.

Harry Potter (Books)

Primary Pairing: Harry Potter x Draco Malfoy

Secondary Pairing(s): Ron Weasley x Hermione Granger, Harry Potter x Charlie Weasley, Harry Potter x Blaise Zabini

Why Those Pairings: I did not like Harry and Ginny together at all, in the books or the films. It just seemed like something JK Rowling did just for the sake of it. In delving deeper into the series, I discovered similarities between Harry and Draco and those similarities allowed me to run with this ship. Ron and Hermione are cannon and they stay a couple in my stories, although I think they are somewhat mis-matched as well. I've also read quite a few Harry x Charlie and Harry x Blaise stories that were so good that the pairings became my alternates if I didn't want to write Draco and Harry together for whatever reason. A lot of my work will feature the trope of Smart Harry, which I've really been enjoying as of late.

How I Became a Fan: Saw the films before I read a single word of the books, admittedly. I loved the story in both formats though. The books were more detailed, but the visual element of film allowed me to feel completely immersed in JK Rowling's world. It's just a good series, even all these years later.

Twilight (Books)

Primary Pairing: Bella x Jacob, Bella x Paul, Jacob x Seth

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: I'm 100 percent Team Jacob and Team Wolf. I didn't like Edward at all, to be honest and his relationship with Bella just seemed really unhealthy. Comparing that to her relationship with Jacob, and you can clearly see how much more easy, and comfortable it is. She's completely herself when she's with him, and he treats her the way she deserves to be treated. If I want to mix things up a bit, I'll pair Bella with Paul or write Jacob with Seth. The wolves are some of my favourite characters, and I would've loved to have seen Jacob with Bella and see the wolves get more story time. I do like a few of the Cullen's though, namely Emmett, Jasper and Rosalie.

How I Became a Fan: Through my twin sister, actually. She was obsessed with the books and we went to see all of the movies on the first day of their release. I remember one day, while she was reading, my sister screamed out and when I asked her later what she had screamed about, she slammed "New Moon" on the table and said, "He broke her heart" with no further context. I didn't expect to like the series as much as I did, even though, as I mentioned above, I do have some problems with it too.

Hunger Games (Books)

Primary Pairing: Katniss x Peeta, Peeta x Cato

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: Peeta and Katniss are cannon, and while I don't like to mess with that too much generally, I've read some great Peeta x Cato stories and I'll use that pairing if I ever want to really switch things up.

How I Became a Fan: Read the books, saw the movies. Loved both.

The Mortal Instruments (Books) or Shadowhunters (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing(s): Magus Bane x Alec Lightwood, Simon Lewis x Jace Herondale

Secondary Pairing(s): Isabelle Lightwood x Raphael Santiago, Maia Roberts x Bat Velasquez

Why These Pairings: Magnus and Alec just belong together, period. I instantly gravitated towards them. I've also read some great Simon x Jace stories that just made be fall in love with the pairing. Isabelle and Raphael are paired due to their past relationship and Maia and Bat are cute together when I've read them in other stories, so. I've never been sure who else to pair Clary with, so in my fics, she's almost always single.

How I Became a Fan: My sister got me hooked on the show! Shortly after, she lent me the first 3 books of the series, which were great! I'm so sad the series isn't renewed for another season, because it definitely deserves it.

Divergent (Books)

Primary Pairing: Tobias x Tris

Secondary Pairing(s): Will x Christina, Uriah x Marlene, Zeke x Shauna

Why Those Pairings: Unlike most of my fandoms, I can never bring myself to stray from cannon at all. Not even in the slightest.

How I Became a Fan: My sister again. She read them first, and then said I HAD to read them, so I did.

Glee (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Sam Evans x Blaine Anderson

Secondary Pairing(s): Brittany Pierce x Santana Lopez

Why Those Pairings: I do not like Kurt and Blaine together at all. In fact, I didn't like Kurt (or Rachel) at all, even though I think both Lea Michele and Chris Colfer are very talented. Blaine and Sam are best friends, they have a really strong bond and I think they fit together and compliment each other very well. I really wish they would've been cannon because that would've been amazing. Brittany and Santana are definitely cannon and that stays in my stories, because I think they're awesome.

How I Became a Fan: Watched a lot of the musical performances on YouTube and loved them so much I started watching the series.

One Tree Hill (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Nathan Scott x Haley James Scott, Lucas Scott x Peyton Sawyer, Julian Baker x Brooke Davis, Clay Evans x Quinn James

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: Another instance where I can't bring myself to break away from cannon. It's just not possible with this show.

How I Became a Fan: My sister introduced me to this one too. I was so resistant to it, but she finally wore me down to the point where I agreed to watch one episode of her choosing. After that one episode, I was irrevocably hooked. One of my favourite series of all-time, no question.

Skins (UK) (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Tony Stonem x Maxxie Oliver

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: These two were cannon for just the briefest, most teasing of times in Season 1 and I couldn't help but think of how good they would be together if the show actually continued with them as a couple. This was confirmed in the first episode of Season 2, so I decided to do my own thing and let these two take the centre of everything I write for this show.

QAF (US) (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Brian Kinney x Justin Taylor

Secondary Pairing(s): Michael Novotny x Ben Bruckner, Melanie Marcus x Lindsay Peterson

Why Those Pairings: Nothing other than cannon would work, in my mind, for this show. It's just not possible. I will say though, I don't like Michael and I'm not a big fan of Lindsay either.

How I Became a Fan: Saw it one TV one day, was instantly hooked. It really has been one of the shows that helped me to accept and be confident in my identity. It's a groundbreaking, amazing series.

Days of Our Lives (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Will Horton x Paul Narita

Secondary Pairing(s): Theo Carver x Ciara Brady

Why Those Pairings: Paul and Will have so much more to them than Will and Sonny have ever had. I used to like Sonny, until Paul came along and swept Will off his feet and then I realized how much better Paul was for Will. Theo and Ciara are just a couple that I would love to see happen at some point. I think they'd be great together.

How I Became a Fan: It was my mother's favourite soap opera. I'd watch it with her all the time growing up, and she even recorded the series on VHS back in the day, so we always had something to watch.

The Fosters (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Jude Adams Foster x Connor Stevens

Secondary Pairing(s): Jude Adams-Foster x Noah, Stef Adams-Foster x Lena Adams-Foster, Callie Adams-Foster x AJ Hensdale, Jesus Adams-Foster x Emma, Mariana Adams-Foster x Mat Tam, Brandon Foster x Eliza Hunter

Why Those Pairings: All have been cannon, with Jude and Connor being the pairing I write about most. I really couldn't bring myself to alter cannon at all, to be honest.

How I Became a Fan: My sister introduced me to the series after she watched it and I was instantly, irrevocably hooked from the very first episode.

Shameless (US) (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Ian Gallagher x Mickey Milkovich

Secondary Pairing(s): NA

Why Those Pairings: They used to be cannon, dating back to Season 1. I'm upset that they're not cannon anymore and I wish they were, so I write them as such in my stories.

How I Became a Fan: Saw it on TV, binge-watched the entire marathon of episodes because I couldn't bring myself to look away. It's such a good show.

The Good Doctor (US) (TV Shows)

Primary Pairing: Neil Melendez x Shaun Murphy

Secondary Pairing(s): Jared Kalu x Claire Browne

Why Those Pairings: Melendez and Murphy have come a long way and developed a mutual respect for each other, it's not that much of a stretch from there to put them together. I think they'd be a good couple. Jared and Claire are essentially cannon.

How I Became a Fan: Watched it because I'm on the Autism Spectrum and my family kept telling me to watch it. I did, and it's an amazing show.
