Author has written 11 stories for Yu Yu Hakusho, and Prince of Tennis. Hey there, this is Accidental.Enlightenment, but I used to be Fate, a.k.a. Star as known by most of the people I edit/beta for. Anyway, I am first and foremost an editor. If any of you would like me to edit your stories before you post them, feel free to e-mail me with a description of your story(preferably OC-fics) and a sample of that story(or if it's already posted, tell me the title). I can't edit everyone's work, so I have to read it first to determine how well it would fit into my schedule. All stories in my Favorite Stories list are the ones I beta for. All of which I didn't start beta-ing until later into the story, so you can probably just skip to the last chapter to see the quality of my work. Just because it's in my list doesn't mean I agree with the fandom or the plot. For some of these I only look for grammar and spelling. All changes subject to rejection by the author. I only edit if I can speak to the writer real-time, for whom I can do with Darknesspirals, who is also my Beta for Yu Yu Hakusho. Warning: Do not read With the Sunset Goes My Love if you know what's good for you. That is an example of a bad fic and definitely a bad plot. Curiosity not recommended. Quotes “You’re mean. I’m not mean! I’m evil! Okay, you’re evil. I’m not evil! I’m chaotic!” Fang and Turtle “It’s the slug’s fault!” Frog, Fang, and Fate. Interchangable and simultaneous. “I don’t get to keep my box child?” Kelsey “If that hits me, you are so dead.” Max “Lock it!” “This is like my sixth coffee today” “Give me Coffee and no one gets hurt!” Zucchini "Nice." Andrea "It took like three days to cook, but it tastes so good." Turtle "What's 9 plus 12? 21, I think. You sure it's not 17?" Fang and Kathy Yu Yu Hakusho Fics: Umaskings: A Conspiracy of Great Proportions: I See the Color Red COMPLETE Glowing red eyes in the night. Flash of red amidst a fight. Blood that stains the pure white snow. I See theColor Red, you know. An unique story focusing on all things red. And the one girl who hates it all. Told from the perspective of Skylar Breaks, a 17 year old female who lives on her own and juggles both her classes and a paying job. Living in America, her everyday life is scarred by thoughts of her late brother, Crimson Breaks. It's been some time now since his murder, and life has once again been reduced to the every day routine that plagues most students. But everything changes when Crim's murderer shows up at her school, acting just like any foreign exchange student would. Staying in America to patch up his mistake, Shuichi Minamino, known to us as Kurama, is attending Skylar's school, and she doesn't like it one bit. This is a non-romancer. The only one my mind has been capable of producing, ever. Yes, I'm a romantic, but that doesn't mean my romantic fics have ever left the ground. Luckily, 4 chapters isn't that hard to do. I've managed to complete this non-romancer and it's all posted now. I posted chapter 4 early as a little Christmas present to anyone who was awake that late at night. And even if you weren't you can call it a belated gift all the same. I'm thinking of making a sequel. Don't You Blink@ Do you know why people live? Because they have something to live for. Even for those who find they have lost all hope, there is always something that ties them down to this world like a chain. Don’t tell me you’re different. I know better. All it takes is a little effort, a little soul searching. Find that one reason to stay, that one goal, set it firmly in your minds eye, and don’t you blink. I really have no idea where I'm going with this one. It might not even be a fic when I finally develop a plot to match it. The above paragraphs seems to me like something a character would say to Hiei. Probably before he steals from the Vault. But I don't know, it could be the basis for other things if I let it. See, that's how I came up with I See the Color Red, I got the title first and then let the idea flow. But for this one, I find I'll have to start from a different perspective. Don't Believe a Word I Say# Er, I don't tend to write for this idea because I find it has also come to a near abrupt stop. This is what you get from my romantic ideas. Basically nothing. Chie Kagayama is an orphan attending Tokyo University for her second year. Surprisingly enough, she knows a demon. Two in fact. Lillith Kaine was the mother figure that replaced her own when the cancer took her away from a ten year old Chie. This demon priestess is responsible for Chie's upbringing as a fighter, albiet a polite one. The second demon should come as more of a surprise. Hiei Jaganshi, Mukuro's right hand man and patroler of the barrier separating the two worlds. As to why he allowed the continued inter-world travelling of Chie from Tokyo to the temple, you'll have to read to find out. Myths and Legends# Set after the show's last episode, the story opens on a Oxford Univeristy, where students from abroad are abundant. One such student is Shuichi Minamino. The main focus class for our group of students in this story here will be Japanese Myths and Legends. Why? Because it's an easy A for our favorite human fox, as well as for those blokes in the back of the room who absorb information without even paying attention. But the Myths and Legends of Japan are not what our friend Zero is studying today. No, Ms. Zero Jeopardy is studying the behaviors of her classmates, namely, one Shuichi Minamino. Could she have figured him out? She believes she has, as she notices the redhead's subtle tension on todays lesson; foxes. Thornless Roses@ Of an OC as yet unnamed who happen's to find nothing romantic in roses. She finds the concept silly, or at least, the concept that it has become. What's with roses without thorns? Isn't that taking it a bit too far? No longer are there good and bad in this world? Have we simply hidden it away? Prince of Tennis Fics: Drift Away: So they've overcome all sorts of obstacles in tennis. They've defeated their opponents, surpassed their limits, and still managed to survive school. But now they've got a new problem: girls. Three years later, attending Seigaku Senior High, our favorite tennis stars meet their matches. Now the only question is, can they win? I seem to be missing Ryoma's pairing. But I'm not into writing the development of canon pairings, nor am I into destroying them, so I'll hide behind the thin excuse of Ryoma still being too young. After all, his growth is totally stunted, and he's stubborn like that. I'm sure at some point or another I can throw the RyomaxSakuno bit in. By the way, I may have listed the stories separately, but they're likely to be woven together at some point. Crash and Burn may turn up as a side story, because most of it's written like that, but I'm hoping to sew them together. Some of these stories are more minor than others, but that's just because my fandom for each character varies...and the aspects of my personality that each of my OCs represent aren't as dominant. So this probably won't show up very soon, but it'll definitely have better characterization than my previous fics. Youko Sisters: Here's me, feeding my Hyotei obsession. At first, I wasn't so into Hyotei, but then I realized the amazing...depth, if not diversity, of the characters, so I started toying around with the rich boys. It's especially easier to write separate romances for them because they're not as close knit as the Seigaku members. But just like Drift Away, it's sadly underdeveloped. I only managed to force four of the romance stories. I was supposed to have at least one more to make it a nice flexible five, but I...never learned enough about the other characters to get a good enough feel for a matching personality. Watashi Wa Wakari Masen!# This one...is me being cliche. I don't know, I read a fic with something of this theme in it, and I swiped it, warped it, and tried to improve it. It's basically the whole transfer student cliche where the girl isn't fluent in Japanese, yet she's at Seigaku instead of at an international school. Therefore somebody has to help her around, right? Meanwhile, she plays off her supposed ignorance and...well, I haven't quite set the pairing in stone, and this might come out as a triangle fic. My main problem here is I've been going through a bit of drama, so I'm liable to throw in some of that into the story line...and that could be disastrously MSing it. Run Away Similar to Watashi Wa Wakari Masen!, but set in a different classroom. Also potential triangle-ness, but milder in that sense. Meanwhile, this idea is me trying to cope with life, so it's horribly twisted. It was nice and clean at one point, with the main plot centering around nothing too interesting, except her relation to the homeroom teacher. Then I was looking for angst material and went and offed the teacher in a cliched way. Forgive me, I should go to author purgatory for even considering the idea. Even if I do get around to writing it, I probably won't post it. #Writing in Progress |
