Author has written 3 stories for Tenkai Knights, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Fairy Tail. Well hey, here I go again, changing my Bio. Sup, my names is Plodimsocks, I am a Scout, a bit of a weeb, and an avid animal lover - as long as it isn't a pest. I don't have much of a list for fandoms as I will probably have to keep constantly changing it, so if you want to know whether or not I have watched or joined something, just ask. I'm not scary, I don't bite (although Kirby does, but that is neither here nor there). Really, with all of the "put this on your bio if you care" stuff, I'm honestly going to say just this; I don't want to put a sad story on my bio unless you actually want to read it, and even then you can just read about it in an actual work of someone's. Writing it on your bio won't change anything, I have found, but getting people together over a common goal will, so if you wish to start changing the world, let someone who will do something with you know. I have a small thing to say about myself though, as I can't exactly tell anyone in person, so I might as well be as blunt as possible using the only way of communication I have. My entire life has been spent on the island continent of Australia; I have travelled it, learnt about it, and experienced parts of Australia that many that I live near don't even know about. The America's and Australia aren't too different, and if Australia had a government that actually had the same views as the majority, we would already have approved of Gay Marriage, Neutral Gender Rights, and Extended Multiculturalism (where those who need to leave their home country are given refuge in Australia, not in a detention centre, but in the rural towns, where people can start working and living again without fear of death). We would have followed Canada, gone Sub-Socialist, and have an actual health care system that works. Our country has been trying to fix its problems for years, and what makes Australians so irritated is that we have the answers to our problems visibly happening in other nations, but our leaders won't let the changes happen here. My country matters to me, not because I am heavily patriotic (although Scouts does teach you to love the land you live on), but because I live here, as does my family and many of the people that I love. I worry about the future, and due to having such mixed heritage full of escaping and avoiding conflict myself, those who are currently experiencing such trauma and instability are always on my mind, even as my friends and I joke about ideology and death. And while I may be, currently, feeling all doom and gloom, I know that there are some saving graces in this world.
Even if the rest of the world ignores you, there is always someone who listens, and as for those who listen, there is always those who act. The world needs to understand each other, and having an open mind is important. Have a good day. |
