First, I suppose I'll tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Christine, which is what I prefer to be called. I'm 25 years old, living in Houston, Texas and originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan. I'm a high school English teacher who never seems to have any time to write.

My favorite color is blue, my favorite season is spring/summer, and I love Indian, Moroccan, Japanese, Chinese, and Italian food. I'm a big fan of sushi, pizza rustica and curry. I love to cook.

I love to write and, besides teaching, that's what I want to do with my life, mostly. I'm an okay writer, but I tend to struggle with characterization and keeping things simple. I'm currently working hard on a new novel to help alleviate some of these problems and I believe I'm making a lot of headway!

Um, I'm a big anime fan. My current obsessions are Death Note (first and foremost), Fruits Basket, and Code Geass. Other anime I'm quite interested in are Ghost in the Shell, Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, and Samurai Champloo. I have more and I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but those are the ones that are foremost in my mind at this time. I love Harry Potter and Artemis Fowl, as well as the Inheritance Trilogy. One of my favorite short stories is I Am Legend. Much better than the movie. Other Matheson short stories I love are Mad House and Person to Person.

I speak a little German, but I mostly have a knowledge of vocab, not grammar. I play the viola and I have for 9 and a half years and I love classical music. I love music in general. My favorite artists right now are Aesop Rock, Jade Valerie, and Sweetbox. I love animals and I absolutely adore cats. I own two right now, one is a Russian Blue mix that I saved from a shelter named Kami, the other is an American Shorthair named Fluffy.

Most of my old fics have been discontinued, partly because I lost interest, but mostly because earlier fanfictions have been mostly practice and dabbles. I've begun writing more serious things and I don't believe I'll be losing interest any time soon.
