It has been a great deal of time since I last update my file. My explanation of recent events is long overdue. My college work consumes great deals of my time, so updates may only be monthly, but your support helps keep the ball rolling ;).

IMPORTANT: I would like to openly announce that I am aware my OC was a Gary Stu. It is for that reason that I am wiping the slate clean and starting over from scratch. The Deserter is a rewrite of the Mandalorian Rebel, it will be significantly different from the original, a little darker and slower paced. This decision is final, I will not trash or cancel this project, all I ask is that you show me the support you did before. I am here to own up to my folly and declaring that I am hopefully a changed author. I thought that I could change my character as the story went along, but I was naive, I know now that you can't cure a sick tree by removing its branches, you need to trace the sickness to its source: the roots.

REVIEWS:

Constructive, descriptive, and genuine criticism is encouraged and welcomed.

Ambiguous critique will we approached with skepticism.

Flames and trolls will receive no attention at all.

People who understand that I can't smooth over every perceived slight are fresh additions to my collection of social treasures.

Please note that my definitions of the four terms above may not be the same as yours. Please think about that if you decide to complain or give me grief.

Now that we got that out of the way, I'd like to address some key points you should know about the Deserter:

1. The Stranger is the only significant OC, all the others appear only briefly and as minor side characters.

2. Starkiller will show up, but either much later in this story, or in its sequel (it really depends on the support)

3. Although this point is a minor one, I feel like it needs to be addressed: Sabine's hair color is red and orange. The reason for this is because I want to differ from the series at least a little bit, and Sabine changes her hair color frequently, so I don't think I'm making any harmful changes to her character.

4. My OC will not have the same past as he did in the Mandalorian Rebel, it will quite a bit different and much more realistic.

5. SOME of the events in the series will transpire in my story, but as I said before, I want to write Star Wars Rebels in a different light, if I stuck entirely to the series it wouldn't really be that interesting to read. XD

On a lighter note, I am very optimistic about the Deserter, I think it will be a giant improvement over The Mandalorian Rebel. All I ask is that you give it a chance. All my other stories will be put on hold.

When PMing with me: Although it isn't ideal, I appreciate the usage of emoticons because they can tell me what I normally would be able to tell if I were speaking with you in person: your tone and feelings. If I receive a message such as "I am well" I don't know if you are typing it begrudgingly or with the same sentiment as me when I ask how your day is going. I know it sounds stupid but you would be amazed how much miscommunication can be avoided with a simple smiley face or even an angry face, so if you would like to PM chat with me I would be very grateful if you could regale me with some clever faces :)
