Author has written 5 stories for Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Hobbit. Bio: Hi, I'm Sunshine with Rain. Funny story, my sister and I were originally going to share this account since my nickname is Sunny Rose, and she uses the name Rayne. However, she made her own account, and I was too lazy to change the name. Feel free to just call me Sunny if you feel up to messaging me. A little background, my first published work was a poem I wrote in a school contest roughly ten years ago. My first fanfic (unpublished) was for Pokemon, and my first published fanfic was for Naruto. I have a few fiction plot bunnies collecting dust on my hard drive, but probably not going to be completed any time soon. Right now, I'm perfectly content to stick with fanfiction and poetry. Apologizing right now because I am a sporadic updater. I'm a math teacher, and I sometimes find it hard to find the time/motivation/inspiration (Holy Trinity) to write. My writing goals this year though include completing at least one multi-chapter story, publish a poetry book, and to become a beta reader. We'll see how it goes. If you continue to peruse my profile, you'll notice that I'm never opposed to receiving messages. If you want to make a request, or drop a suggestion/review, or even just need someone to chat with. I'm always open to PMs. The rest of my profile is dedicated to my stories. So in Stories Completed I provided some background information that inspired me to write it, things I found difficult/easy, etc. I also add areas where I saw potential to expand. Once again, I live for requests. Stories in Progress gives a small excerpt that will be a part of the next chapter. Potential Stories are more than just plot bunnies. I have a solid idea for them, and have started writing it, but haven't committed. One more time for the people in the back, never feel like you're annoying me. I like to know what will be well received. It helps me prioritize so PM at any time! If there's any interesting bit of world building I made, I add it to the bottom. I don't mind you borrowing, but would appreciate a shout-out if you do! Thanks, Sunny. Stories Completed Good Man: Okay, origin of this one-shot. So I'm a bit of an insomniac, and sometimes when I can't sleep, I plug in my headphones and grab my computer and either read fanfics (my own or others) or I write. So I was actually really into the idea of the 2p universe, and was on deviantart when the song "Good Man" by Devour the Day came on. If you have never listened to the song, well worth it. Now, I had the idea of the 2ps being created in this way for awhile, but had no idea what to do with it. One of the worst writing feelings ever. So when I was listening to the song, I thought "this would be perfect for 2p America". I had dabbled in songfics at that point, and decided to give it a try, but there were sections I was struggling to fill and I felt like 2p America alone wouldn't accurately portray my universe and pulled in 2p Germany. Headcannon: When I was originally coming up with the concept of this universe, I had the idea that your "crime" dictates your eye color. So all the 2ps with red eyes killed someone, all the 2ps with purple eyes betrayed someone/something, etc. Obviously, there is room here to make it a full length story existing in this universe, and I think originally my idea was to have it be where the 1p shadows became aware of their 2p forms and an existential crisis of "which of us is the real one". I can also see the merit of leaving it how it is too. If you are interested in seeing it become a full story, PM me. Outside My Window: So at the beginning of the year, I decided to try the 365-day writing challenge which has been going *cough, terrible, cough* okay? Let's just say it'll probably end up being more of a 12-day challenge. Anyways...one of the first prompts I attempted was "Outside My Window" where you were supposed to look out your window and write about what you saw. The setting for this story is legitimately outside my window. I reached a certain point with it and realized it would make a perfect Bagginshield story, and altered it slightly for Bilbo's personality and added Thorin. (Although, it has me totally wishing some hot guy will just sit down and start drawing in that spot outside my window.) My sister has called my writing style "poetic imagery" (whatever that means), and I figured modern Bilbo would also have that same style being the little homebody he is. I really do want to add more onto this story in the sense that I would love to do Thorin's POV. There was a lot of quirks of his that I had reasons for, but I also realize that's the beauty of reading and trying to figure those things out for yourselves. I also thought about writing a "sequel" of sorts where the new couple finally introduce each other to their friends who have been dying of exasperation. Would appreciate opinions on either concept. Stories in Progress Getting What You Want: Chapter 2- Black Ships on a Snowy Morning (I will finish this story if it kills me!) Upon the following morning against dawn’s early light, a fleet of undistinguished black ships were made out on the horizon with the heading for the island coast. The ships cut swiftly through the glittering oceanic water in the early morning haze. Every crew member was bustling about in preparation of docking save for one. A man dressed in a rich black suit with wavy blonde hair and indigo eyes hidden behind tinted glasses leaned against the railing watching the approaching shoreline with a small smirk. “Sir!” One of the sailors addressed the man. “Ships approach from the east.” “Of course.” The man responded casually. “After all, we are foreigners approaching their fortified homeland. Raise the white flag and prepare the ship for boarding.” “Aye Captain!” The man saluted before relaying the order. The man turned his gaze back to Gallapan before a brisk wind blew across the deck biting through his clothing. He looked up noticing the cloud cover darken and thicken with the threat of stormy weather. The man’s smile only grew at this for it was the perfect setting to greet an old friend. Once Upon a Dream: Chapter 4- The Troll's Dinner (Hopefully, I've tried to get to the trolls for 3 chapters now) “Don’t take it too hard.” Vili patted him on the back. “It’s not that Thorin hates you. You’re just really...animated, and Thorin doesn’t know how to take that.” Bilbo’s nose twitched as he tried to figure out exactly how he had just been insulted by the dwarf. Vili keened as he tried to find another way to say what he wanted to say. “You see, Thorin’s used to two type of people in his life: those that give him what he wants, and those he has to scream at before getting what he wants.” Ah, so Bilbo could now add ‘spoiled’ to his growing list of character defects for the blue eyed dwarf. Lovely. “And you’re the type of person who makes him question if what he wants is what he actually wants.” Vili continued. “Which is entertaining, but makes Thorin a little testy.” “So you’re saying I should just give him what he wants, and he’ll quit acting like I just killed his prize goat?” Vili cocked his head as if working through Bilbo’s reference. “Yeah, I think that’s about the gist of it. But I wouldn’t.” Bilbo sighed. “And why exactly is that?” “Because he hates people who backtrack even worse. You’ll lose all his respect that way.” Bilbo didn’t know whether he wanted to throw himself from the pony’s back, take off running back for the Shire, or throttle the heavily unhelpful dwarf before him. “You just have to weather the Durin storm. It gets better after that.” He left his final piece of advice before moving on ahead. Bilbo blinked in surprise. Durin? Thorin was...royalty? His gaze turned back to the tall, commanding dwarf’s back with new appreciation, and a little bit of hope. Could Thorin be the prince he was promised to? Potential Stories The Tin Captain and his Glass Violinist (Sherlock): A Steadfast Tin Soldier AU with John as the steadfast tin soldier, Sherlock as the ballerina, and Moriarty as the jack-in-the-box. Keeps true to H.C. Anderson's original fairytale with some twists to accommodate the characters' personalities. John was one of twenty-five identical tin soldiers. All made from the same block of metal and painted with the same ash-blonde hair and blue eyes. The only thing that separated John from his brothers-in-arms was the fact that he was defective. He was the last to be made, and their maker was scraping the bottom of the pail to get enough tin to make him. The result was John was left with one leg instead of two. Sherlock was too fragile to play with and watched the world from his music box, only his violin to keep him company. Their worlds would never be the same after John becomes Sherlock's new shelf-mate in a playroom that may not be big enough to escape Moriarty's sinister plans. The Hobbit Under the Mountain (Hobbit): Thorin raised baby Bilbo in the first of what could become a three part series. Thorin and Company back from an emissary with the Iron Hills finds a host of dead hobbits, a dying Belladonna, and young Bilbo who has been given the “Black Throat” by slavers to keep him quiet. Over the course of returning him, Thorin falls in love and wants to raise the mute hobbit in Ered Luin as his son. While many come to accept him after the adoption ceremony and age transfer, there are others who see Bilbo as Thorin’s weakness. But they may come to regret it because while hobbits may be small, they have powerful lungs. Spirit Busters (Hetalia): Alfred is a famous YouTuber known as "Adrenaline Rush" who is essentially blackmailed/guilt-tripped into helping his brother Arthur create a ghost hunting channel. Despite Alfred's innate fear of the paranormal, he decided to help his older brother and his friends create a YouTube channel known as "Spirit Busters" because he figured at minimum it would be a cool way to see the world. However, when every trip has Alfred face to face with spirits and demons, he has to wonder whether this is really coincidence or if maybe there is something tying him to the paranormal world.
