Hi, and welcome to my profile. :)

In the realms of the internet i am generally called Myst, so that's what i'll answer to around here as well. I'm a 20-something female who was born and lives in Australia in NSW near, but not in, Sydney. I work a full time, 5 day a week job, and while i do try to write on my down time it doesn't always happen... but i do keep at it almost constantly anyway.

I have been a writer for as long as i can recall, and hope to continue for as long as i have breath. It's a passion for me, getting those ideas that float around my head out into the world. Strange as it may seem though, i don't generally write for other people. The stories i write are stories that i want to read myself. I share them because i figure, if i wanted to read a particular thing maybe others do as well.

I first got into fanfiction completely by accident, and in fact did not know what i had been writing was fanfiction. When i realised what i'd discovered i was very quickly hooked. Nowadays i use fanfiction as a method of practicing my writing techniques, and of exploring where my imagination can take me.

I take inspiration from everything around me, but especially find my muse to react wonderfully to music. I'm the kind of girl who will always have music around her. I love finding that piece of music or song that just makes you stop what you're doing and listen, the kind of song that gives you shivers from listening to it. I love the power music has... how it can change your mood, can set a scene or even trigger memories...

I don't seem to stick to a particular fandom for long, though i do have my loyalties in the fandoms i DO go back to time and again. I am easily stirred into passion and obsession over a new fandom, but often drift away over time. As a result my writing seems to sometimes jump from fandom to fandom wherever inspiration strikes. (I sometimes think my muse might be just a bit hyped up on sugar or something.)

One day i hope to become a published author with my own characters. I know a lot of authors out there hate fanfiction but you know... i think that i'd be beyond honoured if people loved my characters and world enough to take them and expand on them... even if that does mean mutilating them at times. ;)

Enough about me though, i hope you enjoy what i have up to offer and leave a review to let me know what you thought. I'm always up for constructive criticism no matter what that might be.
