![]() Author has written 7 stories for Lab Rats, 2012, Hunger Games, Hetalia - Axis Powers, and Supernatural. To start off, I'd like to say that I've always been a HUGE reader. Since third grade, I've loved to write stories of my own as well. In addition to my being literature-crazy, I can't watch a single TV show without making at least one episode plot. And if I happen to really love a TV show, I can build an entire season for it. Unfortunately, these great ideas end up going nowhere because if I published them, that would a crime against copyright. Bottom line is, this site allows my creative fan juices to flow freely. So here's the best of the best just for you. Enjoy :) FOR THOSE WITH A BAD CASE OF WRITER'S BLOCK The below text was previously on a digital sticky note on my homepage that I wrote for myself, but I someone else may also benefit from it because we all need to kick our own butts sometimes to get going. Force yourself to sit down in front of a blank Word document and write. It doesn't necessarily have to be the story, but you just have to WRITE and you can't stop for anything - not spelling, not grammar, not anything. You just write as much as you possibly can in the space of five minutes and hands off the keyboard when the timer dings. Stretch out your fingers, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and remember why you do what you do. You write because you love it, crave it - because it's your passion and there is nothing else you'd rather be doing. Remember how it feels to spill your soul on a page and remember that feeling of it being so right. Open your eyes and read what you wrote. Whatever became of the little exercise, don't be harsh on yourself. Think instead, I was able to do this much in the space of five minutes, and I can sure as heck write a story. Think about the plot and the characters and remember why you chose to create them in the first place. This idea inspired you to do something about it - to put it on paper or screen, and you will not give up on that idea now after everything you've put into it. If you do not have that passion from above, then you need to find it right now because that passion drives you to be your best. Wherever that passion goes, you follow it. |
