![]() Author has written 16 stories for Star Wars, Highlander, Harry Potter, Black Stallion, Dragonriders of Pern series, Girl Genius, Star Wars Rebels, and Babylon 5. Want to read my pro-fic? "Strange Roads" and "The Demon That is Dreaming", the first books of the Omens in the Night series, and "Night Train To Cherbourg" (A Joszef Kiraly: Gentleman, Vampire Mystery) are available on Amazon. Fanfiction.net oldtimer? You'd better believe it! (User number in the 3000s, people.) I've been here lo these many years, posting for various fandoms. Those include Star Wars , Highlander, Dragonriders of Pern, and most recently Girl Genius with a strong nod to James Bond! However, it's time to return to my roots... Fics On : TIE Fighter: Prime Wing (Star Wars): Okay, I lied. It's fixed. And revised again. Consider it the special-er edition. Complete. TIE Fighter: Command Decisions (SW): As the date of the last old update (August 24, 2001) should make clear, between grad school and living in DC at the time I had a lot of reasons to get distracted/disinterested. I also admit, the cascade overload of SW EU material eventually killed interest. However, thanks to JJ Abrams, Bob Iger, Disney/LFL publishing and the decision to make everything "Legends", and with a nod to amazing fan fic like Malicean's "Welcome to the Club" teaching me to embrace the AU side of the Force, while I don't know if there's a way to accurately calculate this, prepare for possibly the oldest fic revival has ever seen. (Also, thanks, GoG and your Win10-playable versions of DOS games, but I remember that minefield training mission seeming a lot easier.) Complete. Turning Point: A TIE Fighter Prologue (SW): What was going to be the introduction to Resurrection but became its own little five-chapter ficlet. At the Battle of Bilbringi, Rukh strikes back at his master, but this time someone is there to stop him. Complete. TIE Fighter: Resurrection (SW/Babylon 5): The title? I had to go there, in-story and out. Brace yourselves and buckle up because starting right around the end of "The Last Command" we are taking a screaming wild turn away from Legends "canon" and headed beyond the Rim. TIE Fighter: Defiance (SW): A one-shot demanding to be written even though I was going to timeskip. We learn what Rurik has been doing to get from Endor to where he is at the start of TIE Fighter: Resurrection, and where he learns no matter how much you protest, you don't win against Grand Admiral Thrawn. Complete. TIE Fighter: The Hidden Fortress (SW): Takes place during "Resurrection." After the events of Bilbringi, Captain Niriz and the Admonitor are sent to the Maw to retrieve the Star Destroyers said be stationed at Tarkin's secret facility. With Thrawn occupied pacifying the Hapan Cluster, he sends along the Empire's newest enforcer to help... Part three of the mini-trilogy. Complete. The Judgement of the Victors (SW): Just a little Judgement at Nuremberg, Star Wars style. While I now hesitate to call anything abandoned, this is probably finished as-is. Immortals series (Highlander The Series):In as much as I am willing to declare anything dead-dead, not just mostly dead, this is probably deadfic. But I now know, never say never, say 'check back in ten years.' Padfoot Meets The Dogcatcher (Harry Potter): Ignore the description. One-shot and complete (and like Judgement, Prime Wing, and Entering the Game uploaded before the "complete" checkbox was available.) The Black Stallion's Legacy (The Black Stallion): Deadfic. I lost interest. (The two main characters, however, may cameo in my pro fic with Sarah's cousin Elaine.) A Sunlit Day (Dragonriders of Pern): One-shot and complete 'missing scene' fic for "Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern." On Her Undying Majesty's Secret Service (Girl Genius): A rarity--a novella length complete fic! Girl Genius featuring my favorite character, Ardsley Wooster, with a heaping helping of James Bond inspiration. The Clank with the Golden Gun (GG): An object lesson in 'don't start writing with no real idea where you're going or how you plan to get there." NOT DEAD, but undergoing a beating and thanks to Disney/LFL's Star Wars VII not being an elaborate April Fool's, on the back burner. Forthcoming (ie, in various stages of completion on my computer): Mindstalker (Babylon 5): Set before the end of the Shadow War but after the station's secession from Earth and starring Melia Reynard, a PsiCop on a mission (or two. Yes, I love the PsiCorps. Look at my Star Wars fic and tell me you're surprised. Besides, who can't love watching Walter Koenig as Bester, eating up being evil with a spoon?) Prairie Rose (The Hunger Games): No guarantees on this one but as I pounded out about twenty pages at the first go (rather like OHUMSS above) clearly I have somewhere to go with it. The story of the 39th Games, the tribute from District 9, and a jaded Captiolite who isn't so complacent after all. TIE Fighter: Shadow Dancing (SW): A story from a child of the Unknown Regions about the day the Jedi and her apprentice saved their city from alien invaders (set between "Command Decisions" and "Resurrection".) Part one of a mini-trilogy. TIE Fighter: Ronin (SW): Captain Niriz has worked with Admiral Thrawn in the Unknown Regions too long to ask too many questions, but when his latest assignment ends in apparent disaster and kidnapping he finds himself doubting again. A mysterious female bounty hunter may be friend or foe, but in his current position he can't afford to be picky. Part two of the mini-trilogy. Set between "Command Decisions" and "Resurrection." TIE Fighter: Liberty Risk (SW): Thelea has enforced down time on Niruaun between "Command Decisions" and "Turning Point", Master's orders. She's mastering the art of being anti-social and no longer fitting in with the Imperials or her own people, until a Chiss pilot decides to intervene. Dragonriders of Pern: I have a lot of RPG-related stories that really deserve better endings, and with the ban on DoP fic gone, some older ones (including "First Impressions" and "Tangles") that can migrate from the Pern forums and e-mail lists. Scout's Honor (SW): Backstory for "TIE Fighter: Command Decisions." Major Dallen Torak did not know how he got on the short list to serve as bodyguard for Governor Rothan's nineteen-year-old daughter, but the front lines against the Rebellion are starting to look like a school trip in comparison. |
