So, yes, here I am. Never thought I would create a fanfiction.net account, but I was (still am) keeping my fanfics on Livejournal and Dreamwidth, and the people who do the coding for those two sites are idiots. Everytime they update the coding, they fix one problem and create at least 3 others. So I got tired of it, and here I am. :)

The Devils Cry Parts 1 and 2: The first fanfics (Devil May Cry) I ever posted online, and reading them now makes me cringe. The plot ideas are solid, but I can easliy tell i was running with no clear destination in mind at certain areas. I would have to do a massive clean up before posting it here, which needless to say, isn't even on my to-do list. Maybe some day... They can be found in the same archive at the Buck-Tick fanfiction.

Fun Fic Factoids

Blood Is was spawned from a moment of Fridge Horror (Go to TV Tropes and Idioms to get what that means, if you don't know) when I realized that Trevor, like all orphaned children, probably asked about his parents at some point. Yet MoF makes it clear that they didn't tell him anything until they needed to wind him up and send him off to commit patricide, which means they at best hid the truth, at worst, flat out lied to him. And then I thought, if they lied to Trevor, who's to say that they didn't like to Gabriel either? Bam! Instant fic.

Alexander in Burning Heart is named after Alexander from Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It's also why he's described as wearing red in Chapter 2.

Stay In the Rain was written to the Klaha song by the same title. If you read it at the right speed, the fic matches up with the lyrics of the song.

There is a self insertion in Burning Heart. Can you guess who it is?

Inheritance was inspired by a dream. I thought about for a while about making it into a custom story for Amnesia, but none of the tutorials I could find on the scripting language were helpful, so I decided to say the hell with it and do what I do best: write it.

Burning Heart was named after the Survivor song, but the one song that I think fits it more than any other is "Mad World" from the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Mythology was supposed to be an intro for a childhood story for Xehanort. It was supposed to be an edited tale being told to child!Xehanort as a bedtime story by his mother, but it took off on its own, and now for the life of me I can't remember the story it was supposed to be an intro for.

The Invasion of Gracey Manor was inspired when I told my friend Jikkuri about how most of the fics for the Haunted Mansion involve a OFC whose sole purpose is to get into Edward Gracey's pants. Her response was somewhere along the lines of “a bunch of women running around his house, wearing his pants.” and the fic was born in that instant.

Barely There wrote itself while I was watching the cutscene in Dream Drop Distance where Young Xehanort explains to Sora what's going to happen.

When I picture Xehanort's unseen sailboat from Barely There, I picture my 17 foot DaySailer, Windy.

Come Undone just sort of showed up one day while listening to the Duran Duran song by the same name. I wrote half of it, got distracted by real life, and then came back and finished it a month later.

Dead Flowers was a case of having a title before having a fic to go along with it. Strangely enough, I think the Rolling Stones song fits quite well.

The Last Goodbye was based off a prompt from the Castlevania fanfic lj comm. The prompt was “letter”.

I wrote Completion while listening to “The Show Much Go On” by Queen, and “Mama” by My Chemical Romance. It made for a interesting soundtrack.

The Price: Despair and The Price: Rescue were supposed to be one chapter, but I opted to split it up, because a) it would have been insanely long and b) I though Despair stood alone well enough.

My job doesn't require much brain power, which is great because it allowed me to write out Dead Flowers in my head while I was at work. I typed it out in about four hours split up over two days.

What is posted here is only about half of what I have. There are fics that aren't finished yet, a few that are abandoned, and a few that I'm just stalled on and waiting for inspiration to strike, that are just sitting on my hard drive gathering dust.

With multichapter fics, I at most have a vague idea of where the fic is going. The rest I make up as a I go. With One Shots, I know everything that's going to happen ahead of time.
