Author has written 3 stories for Legend of the Seeker, and Harry Potter. I'm a philosophy & international relations major, specializing in medieval philosophy (Thomas Aquinas) and international security analysis (warfare and genocide). I definitely like Hermione/Bellatrix, it's probably my favorite same-sex pairing in the world, but most of the fics are abhorrent. I like Cara/Kahlan from the "Legend of the Seeker", albeit it get monotonous. I mean how many times can you bear with Kahlan's unrelenting sweetness? A girl's got to snap finally, lest she's no human being. I adore Baldur's Gate series, even though I'm not a gamer. I just adore the idea of Bhaalspawn. You see, my main fixation are 'dark heroes'. I love it when they're imperfect, eternally in conflict within themselves, suffering and struggling to maintain their goodness. Dark actions, heroic actions, I love it when they go both ways. It's even more epic when you win a battle against yourself than felling a hundredth villain while ranting a self-righteous soliloquy. Plain evil/good characters are boring, I discard them swiftly and consider such blatancy an author's fault. I like Voldemort though, mainly because I consider him not a villain but a psychopath. That's why I'm in love (sort of) with the Witcher (read the books, read them all, they are the best). And since I'm no expert on writing about myself, I'll just shut the hell up. |
