Author has written 6 stories for Fallout, Elder Scroll series, and State of Decay. I have James Malone's earlier works!! Contact me!! I haven't updated the rest of this in a while. I just needed to add that. Also it's too long. I don't expect anyone to read beyond the above, so don't feel like you have to. I'm just trying to be clear about stuff. I need constructive criticism! I'm a crappy writer; I'm sorry. That's why I post anything thing here—I really want to really get better! But to do that, I need help! Your help! I want a β (beta reader). I actively sought one two or three years ago, sent about 20 messages to different people who listed themselves as betas at the time, and a few responded, yadda yadda yadda I still need a beta. I think I should just cut the last chapter of "Goodsprings Scorpion Scramble"—what do you think? I think I need to write one more Fallout fanfiction, but try to make up my own stuff somewhat like James Malone does. New characters, etc. etc. I'm a big James Malone fan, by the way. PM me (or whatever) if you want a copy of "The Four Horsemen of the Post-Apocalypse." I keep meaning to ask the author if I can repost it somewhere, or maybe share it publicly (somehow?) via Google Drive or something, but then forgetting. I also want to make an audiobook—for online fanfiction, I think that would be called a "podfic?"—of that and "The Four Horsemen Ride Again" because I drive a lot and want to re-read them . . . often. Especially the sequel, but the original too. JMal told me the sequel ("T4HRA") is probably never going to be completed. I hope that doesn't make you as sad as it made me. I've gotten a few favorites, follows and reviews. Thank you! To all, for all! I apologize for saying above I'm a crappy writer; that's only how I feel about myself. I know it's an ungraceful way to accept a compliment. I don't mean to suggest that any of y'all's tastes aren't good, I just have no self-esteem or confidence and I think I'm lousy at everything. And I sincerely want to get better at writing. I love videogames, but technical restrictions bother me. I've had this thing for long chapters lately—lately, but long enough ago that I don't remember what my intent with them was. My first guess is maybe I meant several of my short stories to be read in one sitting? Like "Impello" and "Something Dirty for Anska" and "Three Shots." Tell me if that affects your experience at all. I kind of like long chapters, but I don't remember ever seeing anyone else say so anywhere, and I do remember two people advocating for short chapters; one reviewer of mine ("mine" on another account, not this one) and that Red guy in that "Tips for Ficcers" guide. I'll linking to that here (links to LiveJournal: Red B Rackham: "The Noobs Guide and Other Tips for Ficcers"). I've also had a thing for making my own cover artwork lately. Obviously I'm not good at it, but I'd like the images I use here (and on AO3 if they ever add such a function—that's this site's only advantage over that site, small though it is) to be at least partly my own work, however ironic that may be. PM: Feel free to PM me! I love talking with people, about pretty much whatever. I've been awful about checking my inbox here for a very long time. Sorry. If I get any messages now, I'll try to respond quickly. I tend to be really verbose in text, I suppose because I'm sort of trying to converse. Sorry. Feel free to ask me to beta for you, or something, too. I don't read enough to be much of a beta, but I'd be happy to try to help, and I'd certainly be a pair of fresh eyes for catching typos (especially the kind spell- and grammar-checkers miss, I extra-hate those). In the long-long ago I had this overarching concept for both my TES and Fallout stuff where I'd use basically the same characters in different worlds/settings, but now I sort of hate that and think it's lame, so I don't think there'll be any more adventures of Ash the druid. I'm a big fan of Dungeons & Dragons, if you can't tell. I planned and started writing a sequel to "Goodsprings Scorpion Scramble" working-titled "Fiends Firefight" but I'll likely never finish it. Let me know if you somehow get passionate about "GSS" the way I am passionate about James Malone's never-to-be-completed "The Four Horsemen Ride Again" and his novel The Four Horsemen of the Post-Apocalypse—and anything else he ever writes—and just have to know where I was going with it, or whatever. Not that I think anyone ever will feel that way about it. I tend to take far too much time planning, outlining, thinking stuff over, and worrying about teeny details that don't really matter, and not nearly enough just-actually-writing. Hyperlink note: None of the below work, apparently. My DeviantArt and Archive of Our Own (AO3) accounts are under the same name, HUNKxTofu. About me and guns: See "Who is America? (2018) First Look Sacha Baron Cohen SHOWTIME Series" on YouTube. Lol. I'm still figuring out what I think policy on such things should be. For now, I just like guns. I'm not even sure why. I think I'm sort of trying to deal with violence, somehow. Clearly I'm also trying to deal with something to do with sex, here, too. I'm a guy. I don't deserve or want points for that (anymore!), I'm just disclosing it. For a long time I was deliberately unclear about that, my gender/sex/etc.—I was incredibly anxious, insecure, etc. I'm still all those things, though less so now. I'm not so concerned about gender or sex bias. I'm also completely boring, and straight—vanilla. I wish I could write non-straight sex; for now I don't think I could pull it off, so I don't try. Whatever the next thing I write is, I think it should be gen (/no sex). I think I'm kind of using violence-then-sex as a crutch, like a formula, which is lame. I used to try to make up a different backstory for myself to put on here and throw people off whatever the truth is. All my Fallout and Elder Scrolls stuff here I first posted to their respective and kink memes first. I wish more people wrote State of Decay stuff. I'm still sad the Fallout Kink Meme is dead, and formerly even worse (a dumpster fire). I really like the new Dreamwidth one (also dead now . . . ?), but I'm sick of Fallout 4 so I don't visit it much. Or the Fallout section here or on AO3 for the same reason. On my AO3 I note when I originally published things, and link to where I did it, though I've since proofread everything you see here and on my AO3 . . . because I have OCD, I guess. Whatever, I'm the only person who cares. I try to kind of simul-post the latest proofread versions of everything on AO3 and here. I also have a DeviantArt, mostly for crappy self-made album art and avatar stuff. Also for favoriting either really cool or beautiful art, or Fallout or TES or other fandom stuff, or—accidentally much more often—stuff that's one or more of those previous things but also sexy and's that's gots boobs in it. Lol. My current avatar here comes from Adam Adamowicz Fallout 3 concept art, which I love, and which I wish the game more resembled. Characters: In the fandoms I frequent I'm bored with most named characters, popular ones especially, so lately I've wanted to read nothing but basically original characters. And not the one-big-dicked-guy-who-takes-over-the-whole-post-apocalyptic-wasteland-with-his-coolness kind that's most of what I see here. I hate that probably because I used to do the same thing and in stuff I've written to post here lately still kinda do it myself. Which is lame and dumb. I keep meaning to write prompts on the Fallout and TES (for me really mostly Skyrim) kink memes for that—OC stories, different stories, different perspectives. My pen name's supposed to be "HUNK/Tofu," as in HUNK slash Tofu, but I can't get that to be my actual name here or elsewhere, so I concede to the "x" relationship-tag thing instead of the slash. I very recently changed back to my old original? pen name here, HUNKxTofu—a reference to the obscure Resident Evil 2 (videogame) characters. It was Grits 'n' Gravy (a Chappelle's Show reference) here for a very long time. See new avatar (full size) here. Also see my AO3. |
