I'm Brandon, I'm 32, I'm a guy, working behind the scenes in local TV News in middle America.

Fanfic-wise, I usually only work on one thing at a time, unless I get struck by inspiration to gin up a oneshot. Then again, most oneshots I write aren't exactly suitable for this site.

Current Projects:

The Balance: An DM/HP/HG story, with Grey!Harry, Powerful!Harry, slightly manipulative!Dumbledore, and loads of euphemisms and innuendos. Ch. 10 Posted 12/12/2013, Ch. 11: Being written, 33% complete. Trying to wind this one down, as I've lost almost all of my interest in it. Haven't touched it in literally 3 years. Contemplating just posting what I have, along with where it would've gone, and calling it quits.

The Forgotten Twin: Another cliche!fic. Harry has a twin brother, Danny, who is the false!Boy-Who-Lived, and gets all the attention from alive!Lily and James. Harry lives alone in the far end of the Potter House, with only his Godfather Sirius acknowledging his existence. Hufflepuff!Harry, pureblood(kinda)!Harry, evil!Lily. WiP, 6 chapters currently written, won't post until it's done. Another one I haven't touched since 2012.

Untitled Twinfic Mega Oneshot: Started on a lark, currently at 14,000 words, much darker than TFT (at least it is in my head/will be when I finish it). I expect it to end up somewhere between 20-25,000 words, by far the longest oneshot I've ever written/posted.

Untitled HP/DG fic: I've actually written about three pages worth of this. It would feature a lot of sexuality and politics, should I ever post it.

On the topic of HP shipping, let me say that while I prefer Harry/Hermione, I am not insanely picky. I know there's a reason JKR put Harry with Ginny. I don't see it, and it seems rather Oedipan to me, but maybe Potter men just have a thing for redheads. That said, I will read Harry/Ginny, if it is well written. I will also read Harry/Draco, because as you can see from some of my past stuff, I like slash. I also have a soft spot for Harry/Daphne Greengrass, because the potential for those fics is astounding and you don't often see a bad one.

My favourite types of HP fics I like to read involve Harry becoming powerful/independent and getting a shite-ton of money. As a consequence, I love fics where Harry distances himself from manipulative!Dumbledore and evil!Weasleys.

Finally, I'd like to issue a challenge to any HP author reading this: write me an explanation as to why Voldemort is the way he is: why didn't he try to use his (seemingly limitless) guile and persuasive powers to take power in the Wizarding world legitimately. If you decide to take this challenge, please send me a private message, because it'll probably slip through my filters otherwise.
