![]() Author has written 47 stories for Labyrinth, Pirates of the Caribbean, Into the Woods, Star Trek: 2009, Now You See Me, Newsies, Les Miserables, Hunger Games, Maze Runner Trilogy, Newsies, Hobbit, Merlin, Big Hero 6, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Harry Potter. Hey there, stranger, thanks for visiting my profile! I'm the Val part of ValandMarcelle. My account was previously under the name of CaptainessVal, in case you were wondering. The change took place after Marcelle and I wrote I'm Not a Child. This is our collaboration account now - but don't worry, we'll be posting stories on our own, as well. I love to write fanfictions, and it always makes my heart smile when people leave reviews or favorite my story. Thank you to everyone who has ever stumbled upon me and taken time to offer advice, criticism, or encouragement on my stories! If you ever need someone to review or read your story, just send me a message over the private messaging setting, and I'll let you know what I think. For any followers of "Labryinth, Mazes of my Heart" I apologize for the abrupt ending. I plan on fixing all of my mistakes and re-uploading that story. I read everything I wrote, and decided that I was not putting forth my best for you all. As for my other stories which have been left unfinished, those will most likely not be revisited. I'm deeply sorry for anyone who liked them or wanted to read more. Maybe over the summer when I have time, I'll try to fix some of my previous FanFiction mistakes. Be on the look out for more stories from me. A big thank you to anyone who has read "I'm Not a Child," my Star Trek collaboration with Marcelle. This is honestly my favorite to write. I hope you all enjoy it! We've worked very hard on this story, and every review has been read. We take into account any criticism or advice you want to offer. Live long and prosper, my dear Trekkies. Thanks for visiting my profile! I hope you enjoy my writing. Love forever, Val Stories by Val include: An Autumn Leave (a McChekov romance) Scum of the Earth (an unfinished PoTC alternate universe fic) Sarah Smiles (an unfinished probably useless Labyrinth fic) Labyrinth, Mazes of my Heart (a finished-but-soon-to-be-rewritten Labyrinth romance) Nice or Good? (an Into the Woods almost-romance about Red and the Wolf)Stories by Marcelle include: Mean Trek (a Star Trek/Mean Girls parody, because some part of me thought it would be a good idea) A City out of Clay (a Newsies story that I really need to work on) All Too Easy (a Now You See Me story that also really needs to be updated) Promises (a Newsies one-shot that took me way longer than it should have) Vive L'avneir (a Les Miserables story that is a mixture of sadness and cuteness) The Overlooked (a Hunger Games series featuring the adorable District 3 boy!) Walk Over Us (a Newsies story that will probably make me cry eventually) Start at the End (a Maze Runner one-shot I wrote for a contest) Of Darkness and Misplaced Hope (a depressing Newsies one-shot, because for some reason I felt like writing angst) The First of Many (a Newsies one-shot that I feel is fairly decent) Only For A Day (a cute little Fourth of July Newsies one-shot) Origins (a series exploring the newsies before they were, well, newsies) The Forgotten Life of James T. Kirk (a Star Trek series in which Kirk has amnesia thanks to Khan's blood) Helping Hands (a Newsies one-shot involving Romeo, Crutchie, and a metaphorical torch) Mercy (a Newsies songfic based on Mercy by OneRepublic) What Was Ours (a Newsies/Titanic crossover because they're kinda similar and I'm a terrible person) Just Goodbye for Now (just a short little fic dealing with THE HORRIBLE INJUSTICE OF NEWSIES CLOSING with a whole lot of symbolism) Brooklyn's Finest (a Newsies one-shot involving Spot and his ego) Matters of Importance (a Newsies unfinished two-or-three-shot featuring young Jack Kelly's stupidly selfless decisions and young Racetrack Higgin's decision to deal with them) In the Hour of Need (a Newsies one-shot in which Davey finds himself playing the role of motivator after the failed strike attempt) Tried and True (a Newsies one-shot from the first-person POV of Crutchie as he writes the now infamous letter to Jack) Letter To The Refuge (a reprise to Letter From the Refuge as written by the one and only Jack Kelly) The Specs (a Newsies unfinished three-shot exploring the apparently complicated process of getting Specs a new pair of glasses) Midnight (another terribly depressing and somehow popular Newsies crossover, this time with The Hunger Games. I am a horrible human being.) More Than Words (a cute littles Newsies drabble where your author tries a different style than normal while writing some happy Jackrine) Here Lies The King (a Hobbit poem paying tribute to Thorin Oakenshield)Collaborations include: I'm Not a Child (which I PROMISE we'll work on...if we find the time!)Hello all! I go by Marcelle, and I'm a: hardcore thespian, delusional author, extreme fansie, dedicated procrastinator, improv veteran, and Broadway enthusiast! Random Facts About Me: -My dream role is Crutchie in Newsies (because he's adorable, doesn't have to dance, and I don't have the range for Katherine), followed by a barricade boy, Enjolras, or Eponine in Les Mis, Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, Little Red or Baker's Wife in Into the Woods, Peter Pan from, well, Peter Pan, the Chaperone from The Drowsy Chaperone, and either Rosemary or Smitty from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. -My love language is apparently quality time. I told you these were gonna be random. -My favorite Youtube channel is Studio C, a Mormon comedy group whose humor is clean and hysterical. Please look them up! -I've never seen Wicked. It's a theatre sin, I know, but I haven't. I know all the songs, though! I desperately want to see Kara Lindsay as Glinda! -It is my strong opinion that Adam Young (aka Owl City) is one of the greatest artists ever. Imagine Dragons, Pentatonix, OneRepublic, Pheonix, and Bastille rank pretty high in my book as well. -I've been hugged by Ben Cook and personally told by Dan DeLuca to bring the magic and seize the day. l also have a letter from Andy Richardson. -My first slow dance was to The A Team by Ed Sheeran. Go figure. -I'm fluent in missed punchlines.- -I am a Hufflepuff by heart and nature, as well as an Amity. So that says a lot about me :) -Favorite musicals include: Newsies (the best thing ever), Les Misérables, The Addams Family, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Into the Woods, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Bonnie and Clyde, Matilda, Shrek, Next to Normal, The Drowsy Chaperone, Sweeney Todd, Footloose, Catch Me If You Can, Aladdin, Peter Pan, and Spamalot. -I am much too passive for my own good. -Improv is my one true love. -Current obssession(s): Pentatonix, the insanely popular acapella group. I'm a little late to the party on this one, but they are utterly fantastic. The majority of my fics will be in the Newsies fandom, as that's pretty much my major obsession, but I dabble in the realms of Les Miserables, Merlin, Star Trek: Reboot, Hunger Games, and basically anything else the muse strikes me for. Many of my stories are pretty angsty, because that seems to be the area in which I excel...how strange. I try to update as frequently as possible, but you know how things go...I might be late sometimes. Eh, c'est la vie, oui? Sorry, that was my whole two semesters of French talking. I hope you'll enjoy my writing, just as I know I'll love all of yours! Live long and fangirl! Keep carrying the banner!
