I am a 30-something-year-old who is somewhat obsessed with Harry Potter. By far, my favourite character is Severus Snape. I love how complex he is and how we can never quite figure him out. Every time I reread the Harry Potter series, I notice something about his character that I hadn't seen before. I've been writing FanFiction for quite a few years now, and in that time I have grown as a writer - I think. So, please don't judge me on things I wrote when I was starting to write :)

The story I am currently working is a re-write of one I began back in 2012. I started the original in a very AU way, but by the time I had gotten to the post-Voldemort-returns chapters, the story (for me anyway) ground to a halt. I could not take it in the direction I wanted to because of the premise was that Snape had not willingly accepted the Dark Mark (again, I started writing this in the days when I was still a fledgling writer) So, in this current version, I have changed that premise, which, in any case, is truer to his character. I have also reworked the OCs in the story, giving them a stronger voice in the story. There are other changes too, but I don't want to give too much of the story away ;)
