![]() Author has written 2 stories for Cats. "One is born to dance." -Balanchine Note: Everything is on hiatus, myself included. I swear at some point I will post an epilogue to Matches the Sky, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Emergency rooms aren't fun. I'm kinda on a break from the fandom too- it has become somewhat exhausting for me, and I feel like the quality of writing for it has drastically decreased. No one wants to contribute to a community where they don't feel like they're part of something great, and that has sadly become my sentiment in this case. I do, however, continue to read FanFiction like crazy- there is so much amazing work out there, I just can't stay away. And if I'm following your story, I very well may still be reading it, even if I haven't commented in a while. Hello, I'm C. Lennox, or just C. I'm somewhat new to writing FanFiction, though I'm a longtime lurker. I've written mostly Cats fanfics, but I adore whatever other random, wonderful FanFiction I happen upon. I have a wide range of interests, so I tend to dart between fandoms on random whims. I'm a huge reader- you know it, I've probably read it, and my knowledge base of musical theater may be close to unparalleled. However, a select few fandoms tend to be my primary points of interest, and I tend to always come back to them. While I hail from The States, I currently live/study/dance in the UK, so as of lately my phrasing and spelling have become kinda funky- expect to see some awkward discrepancies, like color/colour and parking lot/car park. Since I'm trying to balance student life and a professional dance career right now, things are kind of insane. If I'm ever delayed on uploads, there's a 99% chance it's because I'm swamped with rehearsals! As much as I love my writing, I'm involved with a billion and three other things at any one moment, and unfortunately my über-packed schedule can delay uploads when I have to put other commitments first. I do have a lot of interest in writing some fanfiction for a few other fandoms at some point, but from an intimidation standpoint, I'm terrified. FanFiction is so huge, with such great work throughout, that I'd need to be 100% in love with a story to have the confidence to post it. Maybe someday, though. My Fandoms: I may not read or write in all of these fandoms, but if it's listed I have a definite interest in it. Books: I read. A lot. Like a completely insane amount. I've been known to read while warming up at the barre for ballet, and in the wings pre-performance. So even if the book/series isn't listed here, I've most likely read it. I may or may not have enjoyed it, but I've probably read it at least can easily consider these incomplete lists, but here's a shot: Harry Potter (my first love!), The Hunger Games, anything Jane Austen (preferably Pride & Prejudice or Persuasion), The Great Gatsby, The Beautiful & Damned (or anything penned by Fitzgerald), most all of JD Salinger's work, Twilight (in a brief, guilty-pleasure sort of way), and many, many, many more. Movies: Most of my book and movie fandoms overlap, but in addition I adore every Audrey Hepburn movie ever made, The Young Victoria, West Side Story, (500) Days of Summer, Moulin Rouge, most anything Disney/Pixar, and about a million other films. Television: Glee (I've been a Gleek since Day 1!), Downton Abbey, 30 Rock, Smash, New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Rec, etc., etc. Musicals: These often tend to overlap with movies too, but I've adored musical theater since I was a toddler and it'll always be one of my greatest loves. Counted among my favorite shows are West Side Story, Cats, Brigadoon, POTO, Next to Normal, anything by Lerner & Lowe, Kander & Ebb, Shaiman & Wittman, Rogers & Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, or Schwartz, and about a billion more. It should be noted that ironically, outside of kittens, I hate cats. I honestly detest the animal, due to my allergies. And even the musical (which I love) isn't a subject of my affection due its plot/characters- my adoration is born out my admiration for the choreography. What can I say- I'm a dancer to my core! |
