Reviews for What To Fight For |

![]() ![]() Everybody's been saying that Katniss insisting on Gale's company those few nights and the kiss should have been considered borderline betrayal in a way, but I felt that the kiss was somewhat acceptable. I didn't like it, but I believe that it would have made it clear between them that they don't love each other like that, since they never actually had the choice to even decide if they could be together. But thanks for the ending! |
![]() ![]() ![]() It is amazing how Katniss can kiss another man and share a bed with him and claim she didn't betray Peeta. Would she be reacting the same if the tables were turned? |
![]() ![]() ![]() Great story! I've read Five Loaves of Bread: Dark Toast and I really love it.. But it needs a sequel.. The ending left me wanting for more.. I need to know what happens next.. I'm so glad I came across this story.. That scene where Peeta thought Katniss betrayed him made my heart ache.. And I love that Katniss was the one who proposed to Peeta, that she doesn't care about the norms of the society and it's also her way of showing that she's really serious, that she really has fallen in love with him.. Really great ending.. Thank you! |
![]() ![]() Thank God Haymitch set her straight. When she asked Gale to stay with her, I could kinda understand but I thought she was being a little careless about Peeta's feelings. The kiss pissed me off though so I'm glad somebody let her have it |
![]() ![]() ![]() Oh, I loved this. And it flowed seamlessly with the original story- both very talented authors. |
![]() ![]() ![]() You kniw, she keeps saying she didn't betray Peeta, but I wonder how she would feel like if Peeta would have shared a bed with a girl the day after he left her and furthermore kissed that girl. I'd sense she would feel betrayal. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I remember reading 'Dark Toast' more than a year ago and not only loving it, but commenting that I wish the author would continue it. I found it to be one of the more unique AU HG fics. The writing was eloquent, exciting and enthralling with the writer both managing to encompass the world that Ms. Collins' gave to us and create her own unique dystopian environment all at the same time. I'm so glad that another talented writer was able to pick up the mantle of this complex story arc and not only add to it, but maintain the voice of the original while adding their own intrinsic gifts to it. Splendid job! |
![]() ![]() ![]() A most excellent ending to 'Five Loaves of Bread: Dark Toast'. Perfectly complimentary. |
![]() ![]() ![]() Well, I must say I am thoroughly pleased. |
![]() ![]() ![]() "Kiss her, stupid." Man, I love Finnick. |
![]() ![]() ![]() That was one hell of a whirlwind in one chapter, I gotta say. |
![]() ![]() ![]() I amend my earlier statement; they quickly fixed things up. Good job, guys. Good job. I'm proud of Katniss for being decisive. Well, as decisive as Katniss is capable of being, anyway. (It's okay, Katniss. I can't decide anything for shit, either) |
![]() ![]() ![]() I confess I'm disappointed she kissed Gale. For a number of reasons, actually. Because I felt she was falling in love with Peeta, for one, and another being I felt that he was falling in love with Johanna. And not to mention how astoundingly selfish it was of both of them. For Johanna, and her and Gale's children. Anyway, silly thoughts. Next chapter. |
![]() ![]() I thought I read this before, but I couldn't remember, so I read it again. And I loved the original Dark Toast story and am so glad that there is a continuation, it was amazing. I was so upset in the Betrayal chapter, but I loved every bit of this story. Especially that ending. I should get back to my project now, but I really just had to read it. Thank you! |
![]() ![]() ![]() Woop! I loved that fic too and wished there was more so I am soooo happy you wrote such an amazing continuation :) |
