Hey! Carly is the name and being an amazing author is my game. You probably know this already, but I'm a Powerpuff Girls Z fan with my own OC! Shiimasutou Kaarii/Bridgette Hamilton A.K.A., Feminine Bridgette! Please be aware that Bridgette comes into the girls' lives two to three whole years after the girls defeat Kare/Him. They are in their first year in High School at this time. Kaarii is a brunette girl with pale pink eyes and short hair that goes just above her shoulders. Pink is her favorite color and while she has superpowers almost identical to the girls' powers, she's a complete individual from the group. When she first arrives on the scene, she is a transfer student from America (New Citiesville in the English Version), having moved to Tokyo with her dad. However, when she gains her powers, this is less than a secret from her father; in fact, he witnessed the whole thing. In the beginning, Kaarii is nothing less than a mystery when it comes to who she really is inside. When the girls are in a big pinch with Mojo, she rescues them but flees each time. Kaarii soon arrives in the girls' class, but they immediately smell a rat as they see her belt. After rescuing the girls a few more times, Kaarii is confronted and asked to join the team. However, she refuses due to her untrusting nature. She initially won't join because she puts her studies in school as her top priority and is a lone wolf girl. However, this is just an excuse as she really does not trust the girls. After the girls return the favor, they earn Kaarii's complete trust. Afterwords, her true personality is that of a smart girl with a sunny personality and a knack for being confrontational. Amongst the girls, Kaarii views Kaoru as her best friend, mainly because they have similar attitudes towards love and romance. Kaoru finds it revolting (until she falls for Momoko's cousin, Rikiya/Ricardo) while Kaarii sees it as a ticket to disaster. That and they will play badminton together every now and again when Miyako and Momoko have other things to do. She soon begins to open up to the girls and tell them more about herself and then reveals that her parents got a divorce before moving to town with her father, and thus, she was separated from her younger brother Jeikobu. In the English adaptation, his name is Jacob. They were very close and often relied on each other when their parents' fights got out of hand. They were devastated when they had to be separated, and since then Kaarii has lost the one person she truly cared for, and is not on good terms with her mother. Jeikobu, much like Momoko's younger sister, Kuriko, is a huge fan of the Powerpuff Girls Z. His main fan-ship is centered on Kaarii as Feminine Bridgette, due to her nearly identical resemblance to Kaarii. However, he does not find out that his sister is his favorite Powerpuff Girl until later when Melvin tells him the whole story. He is very fond and close to his sister, and he is behaviorally very mature for his age. He is also aware of every little thing his older sister goes through, and wishes that he could be with Kaarii under his father's custody. In The Cat Whispurrer's newest story, "Demashitaa! PowerPuffs Z Season 2", the darker details of her life are removed. Kaarii is a girl with a lot of common sense and never falls for Sakamoto's pranks. In fact, she often stops his pranks before they even get triggered. She is also confrontational to a fault. Her attitude is also that of a smart-aleck girl with a sarcastic streak who puts studying over anything else (which helps whenever the girls need to catch up on work due to their work as the Powerpuff Girls Z). However, she is great in the kitchen, extremely smart, a bit short-tempered, prone to verbally violent outbursts, and often sings when she deems appropriate. She's very tell-it-like-it is, almost to the point of blunt and a bit mean, so she can come off as rude at times, but once one gets to know her, they realize that's just her being her. If you were to define her personality in symbols, it would be a red flame to represent her fiery side whenever she is angry, a yellow light bulb to represent her intelligence and smarts in any situation, a black thundercloud to symbolize how the darkness in her past has spread to her heart, a pink heart to represent her kindness, femininity, and how many boys adore her, and a red cougar to represent her feline-like qualities and courageous side. Her powers are more advanced and mature than the girls and this is often triggered when her temper boils over. She then can produce mass amounts of power, but this has a drawback: after such large proportions of energy are dispelled, she transforms back to normal in the process and collapses from exhaustion. Her weapons are twin katanas that have blades which can lengthen or shorten depending on her mood. This does not mean she is unwilling to do combination moves with the girls. Due to her brainpower, she will often be the tactical officer for the team and Blossom's second-in-command, taking the lead of the team when Blossom is unavailable. One downside to her powers is that she hates having her hair done up in a ponytail or anything of the sort (Unless she's in the kitchen, because she knows it's part of health code, so she doesn't complain or mind), and since her hair is in a French Braid, she hates that. She has certain personality traits that mirror the girls', i.e., Momoko's love for candy and pastries (albeit Kaarii loves MAKING them more than she loves eating them, and wants to become a Top Class pastry chef), Miyako's maturity, and Kaoru's short temper and sportiness. In fact, Kaarii is great in badminton, surfing, and sword fighting. Kaarii is also a baking and pastry expert and she's always ready to bake up a storm at the lab or at home. However, she is also cynical and somewhat impudent, but she usually does it when she's either in a bad mood, Miyako is being an airhead, Momoko is in a romantic trance, or when Kaoru uses bad language. Otherwise, Kaarii will get cynical and impudent whenever the girls are stalling and are needed. A survivor of dating violence, Kaarii has come to close herself off from teenage boys in general to the point of misandry, not wanting to find love until adulthood, or even at all. Her previous experiences with love have made her assume that all teenage boys are cruel and violent people who want nothing more than to make innocent girls' lives miserable. However, she finds that Takaaki is the only exception to the rule in the beginning due to the history he has with Miyako. Her previous boyfriend, Daisuke Kurokami, or Dameon in the English version, was a juvenile delinquent who often hurt Kaarii in every way possible, except sexually, and often put the blame on her for his crimes. For example, he would steal a diamond necklace for Kaarii and she would be the one arrested. If not for her lawyer father's intervention, she would have been found guilty. Kaarii finally feels at peace once Daisuke gets arrested and then she feels better, but can not bring herself to trust teen boys ever since, and love had then become dead to her. However, she manages to put her friends' love and her own trust into Luke Armstrong (Check The Cat Whispurrer's Stories for details) and Takaaki. However, she herself is not willing to trust any teen boy for her own love. Again, this part of her history is removed in The Cat Whispurrer's Season 2 story, "Demashitaa! PowerPuffs Z - Season 2." However, when Josh Jones, son of archaeologist Professor Hector Jones, arrives on the scene, Josh immediately falls madly and deeply in love with Kaarii, and will stop at nothing to win her over. Although Josh Jones belongs to Super Bash, in my stories he is portrayed as a socially awkward boy, and a hopeless romantic who has been around adults most of his life. As such, he has trouble interacting with his peers, much less girls, but when he meets Kaarii, it's love at first sight. He is very amorous towards Kaarii, and often gets desperate in regards to her. Since she just happens to be Josh's first love, Josh tends to beg for advice from Luke, Takaaki, or Rikiya, since they have more experience. Because of his lack of social experience, he tends to use romance cliches and product advertisements to try winning Kaarii over, such as when he tried a cologne titled "Girls' Magnet" in French. He was assuming that it would win her over, but it just turned the situation into a Pepe Le Pew-like scenario, as the cologne was NOT a pleasant fragrance. Josh truly loves Kaarii, and falls into depression when she seems to be harboring negative emotions around him. It doesn't really help with the fact that Kaarii is VERY stubborn when it comes down to love. However, when she's in danger, Josh will jump in head-first and protect her. As he spends time with her his love for her brings out a side of gallantry that he had no idea he had. He is not above putting himself in harm's way to protect Kaarii, showing he is far from a coward. In The Cat Whispurrer's story, "From Here to Eternity: Momoko's Story", Josh eventually proposes to Kaarii and marries her. Kaarii is also trained in First Aid and CPR and is capable of staying calm in a life-or-death situation when someone needs help. She has a cocky streak with the local monsters and often uses her somewhat snarky remarks to rile the monsters up and get them to loose control. She is aware that mocking an opponent is the same as underestimating them, BUT she uses this to her advantage. She has discovered that making a monster mad with her insults gets them to lose control of their emotions and go all out with their powers. However, they lose themselves in their rage and often make poor battle choices, so Bridgette takes the offensive and takes them down. Kaarii is shown to have a very strong sixth sense. She can sense people following her, and foresee future events, as well as her hunches and instincts almost never being off-target, and when she has a hunch, her friends know to trust it. In terms of Disney heroines, Kaarii is a combination of Belle (Beauty And The Beast), Tiana (The Princess And The Frog) Elsa (Frozen), and Megara (Hercules). Besides the obvious similarities of brown hair, Kaarii, like both Belle and Tiana, is extremely intelligent, independent, proactive, and stubborn. Kaarii, like Tiana, is AMAZING at baking, and is NOT fond of being criticized or such (albeit criticism is very rarely directed at Kaarii; what's there to criticize?). Kaarii is also similar to Elsa in the sense that she tends to close herself off from others, but unlike Elsa, she does it for her own emotional defense, not to protect someone else. Kaarii's most significant traits that she shares with Megara are that she had sworn off of boys and romance (albeit in Bridgette's case, her reason was more severe and hurtful when compared to Megara) until she meets her love interest, she's quick-witted, and has a slight negativity. Also, like Megara, Kaarii is brave and outspoken. For you Ever After High fans who have read my story 'A Crush On Cupid', here's Prince Phineas Darling's profile! Phineas Darling Parent: King Darling Parent’s Story: Prince Darling Roommate: Alistair Wonderland Side: Royal Secret Heart’s Desire: To become an evil and wicked prince who is more than worthy to be the next Prince Darling. At least I turn out for the better at the end of the story. My “Magic” Touch: I don’t royally know if this counts, but whenever I’m genuine about what I say or do, such as taking a compliment with genuine happiness, I turn into a white dove. It only lasts for about five to ten seconds, though, and then I change back. Storybook Romance Status: I was HeartStruck as soon as I laid my eyes on the oh-so-fairy cute C.A. Cupid. I’ll make her my queen even if it means having to break Dexter Charming’s neck over it. “Oh Curses!” Moment: In spite of it being part of my destiny, this stupid ring is always pricking me on my pointer finger whenever I’m naughty or mean. And it’s ever-after-awful that I literally can’t take it off. Favorite Subject: Advanced Wooing. I may be an Evil Prince, but I can at least sweep a princess off of her feet. Besides, how am I supposed make Cupid swoon into my embrace if I don’t have the skills I need to be charming? Least Favorite Subject: General Villainy. I’m pretty wicked and evil enough as it is. It’s not like that’s an area I need improvement on. Best Friends Forever After: Hopper Croakington II. Hey, we’re both under curses where we transform into animals unless something-or-other happily ever happens to us. |
