Author has written 6 stories for Invader Zim, and Jhonen Vasquez. Hi - you can call me Donni. I'm mostly just a professional lurker, but I'm trying to get into the habit of actually leaving meaningful reviews of everything I read. It really continues to blow my mind every day that there are so many writers on the internet whose stories can get a better reaction out of me than the stuff I have sitting on my bookshelf, so I guess that's why I keep coming back to FFN. As they say, art isn't about making you feel good, it's about making you feel. I'm not much of a writer, and I'm too paranoid to post chapters of stories if I haven't finished most of them already yet, so stuff from me is probably going to be coming pretty slow. I mean, I guess not that slow compared to people that have been working on their own fic-novels for five years...I'm not really sure what the secret is to that sort of dedication, but I wish they made a prescription for it. Wait, what was I talking about again? Damnit. You probably didn't come all the way over here to read this dribble, I imagine. Anyway, I'm too lazy and weird to register as a beta-reader, but if you have an Invader Zim story that you'd like beta-read, I'd be more than happy to oblige. Part of my degree is in literature, so I'm an excellent judge of spelling, grammar, sentence structure, that kind of thing. I've read enough good stories with enough different plots that I'm willing to take a look at just about any pairing/story line/genre at this point. I'm also a total softie, so I'm a good person to come to if you want the "three good things, one bad thing" style of critique. Not a lot of tough love at the Donni household. I'm going to go ahead and summarize my feelings about writing with these three quotes: “Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen.” – John Steinbeck “Any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a novel is preposterous. He or she is like someone who has put on full armor and attacked a hot-fudge sundae.” – Kurt Vonnegut “I know how to talk to women because I observe, because I am a novelist.” Otherwise, thanks for stopping by my little page. Donni out. Also I have a tumblr. It's at: http:/// So if you do tumblr stuff and want to see my insane brain-vomit, that's probably a good place to head to. I promise I update it more frequently than this, anyway. |
