Author has written 10 stories for Code Geass, Touhou Project, Fire Emblem, and Pokémon.

Hello. For whatever reason or whim brought this on, I shall be known as The Shard of Flame Ice on . Why such a name? Well, "Flame Ice" is actually an object that, to my knowledge, is only present in the game "Baten Kaitos Origins" (Don't own that, btw, just in case. New user, first time and all that.). The Ice is so cold, so resistant to heat, so powerful as a coolant of sorts, that it never melts. N-E-V-E-R. Not even in the desert. Which also makes it useful as a way to cross said dessert without dying due to the extreme heat. The reason it's called "Flame Ice" is because it's so cold it burns, like a real flame does to the flesh. Of course, there is a mine of such a wonder of nature, and the gigantic chunks of it are usually carried out in shards.

WOW. It's been years since I wrote down this profile, and my god, I sounded like an ass. It's about time I updated this thing anyway.

Likes: In general, reading fanfiction, watching movies I find interesting, video games, watching anime/reading manga every now and then, having a good time with friends, video games, peace and quiet (helps clear the mind), my family, my pets, sometimes cooking when the mood strikes (not that I'm particularly good or anything. That's my dad), TvTropes in general. Novels are entertaining too, though some of my favorite Light Novels have unfortunately been licensed by YenPress. Time brought me closer to the people I studied with in high school; though we may walk different lanes now, our experiences and memories will always stay with us: thus, I like the people I grew up with throughout those years. What else...oh, marching bands (THEY'RE AWESOME SHUT UP) and music, especially piano pieces (which I also learned how to play, and like to do so occasionally).

Oh yeah, I like mythology a lot. This is partly influenced by my fondness for SMT and it being heavy on lore. And I read some Manwha every now and then.

Dislikes: In general, family disputes, certain music genres, people who only act like they're listening to you, people who allow their beliefs to cloud their judgement, flying cockroaches, bureaucracy, uncooperative people, particularly those who are in positions where they are supposed to help you, not make your life harder; corrupt politicians, politics in general when they start encroaching on the stability of the livelihood of others, getting dirty, White Knights (the internet kind), plagiarism, YenPress...Um, certain popular trends/series that could get me flamed, so they'll go without saying (except Twilight; screw that crap).

Favorite Anime/Manga/Manwha/Light Novel Series:

You can tell how my tastes have changed since. I did not actually watch that much anime in my youth, and still do not do so in actuality. It is more of a side hobby of mine; my main focus is on video games and literature. Most of the stuff that was written here last time was on a superficial level.

Ranma 1/2: mostly thanks to Ozzallos though. He's the only guy in my favorites list for a good reason.

Code Geass: I will always hold this one dearly, flaws and all.

Tokyo Ghoul: and no, I'm not one of those types who got into the series when it became more mainstream, but back when it was more focused on the psychological aspect.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: who doesn't like Madoka?

Kill La Kill: 'nuff said.

One Piece: of all the "big shonen", this is my favorite of them all.

Deadman Wonderland: for a relatively short run, it did an excellent job of playing to all of its strong points as well as featuring interesting and diverse characters, and delivering a solid and emotional story.

The World God Only Knows: YESYESYESYESYESYESYES. To me, this is the ultimate Harem Romantic Comedy, bar none, and one whom everyone who ever tires of the multitudes of similar Romantic Comedies should read to see how to break the mold.

Overlord (2012): Another of those "stuck in a game" series? Welp, you better believe I like it. Unlike most other examples, here the protagonist is kind of the bad guy here.

Tokyo Ravens: particularly the novels, and similar to the below series, it has a more systematic magic system, if more mystical, which is always a plus to me.

The Irregular at Magic High School: DON'T STAKE ME NOW. Despite its flaws, I very much like the functional magic and its scientific presentation. It's a very interesting world. Naturally, the Light Novel is where it's at, but YenPress has licensed it... (damn you Yen Press!)

A Certain Magical Index: a strong, long-running series with a great mix of hilarity, action and drama, coupled with a lore-heavy world; full recommendations to everyone.

* Tower of God: Oh yes, this is probably my absolute favorite series right now. This stuff is just incredible, and I highly recommend everyone to give it a try. Few worlds I've seen are as compelling and interesting as the Tower.

Least favorite Anime/Manga/Light Novel/Manhua (NOT manwha; do not confuse them) Series (a polite way of saying that I disfavor these, if not hold them in contempt):

Like the previous list, this one really changed with my tastes as I got older:

Naruto is not here any longer, but is still not something I'm particularly fond of or anything. I just feel it started to really grasp at straws towards the end.

Bleach IS still here. I wasn't terribly interested in it back then, and the author's performance later certainly did not impress me in the least.

Believe it or not, Attack on Titan eventually ended up here. I was VERY interested at first, but thirty or forty chapters in, the insistence on providing very few answers, dropping even more questions, and the plot going basically nowhere for so long lost my interest.

I have a love/hate for Sword Art Online. On the one hand, I really like the moods and settings of the original arc and the GGO arc. On the other hand, I feel that nearly everything else about the series is...subpar, to put it mildly.

Similarly, I also have love/hate for Fairy Tail. "What's this, do you have something against non-One Piece mainstream shonen?" No, not particularly. I feel that in this case, there are some very interesting characters and plot elements, but in a vein similar to Bleach, the author of Fairy Tail kind of fumbles with his own material and squanders their potential. It doesn't help that the magic system in this one is very vague and at times seemingly contradictory, which is a big minus for me.

You probably won't have heard of this one, but Tales of Demons and Gods, a Chinese novel/manhua series, seriously drove me up the wall. It's a textbook example of bad writing: main character is a complete Gary Stu, pulls powers and knowledge out of his ass every single time the author pleases to give him power boosts, even when it makes little sense for him to do so now instead of having done so earlier when it would have been more meaningful, the morality of the story clearly centers around him, he's an asshole to basically anyone who doesn't worship the ground he walks on (and even then he still is to some of them who DO), throws money and gifts to buy the goodwill of a lot of people and the story handwaves this as the proper and correct choice, etc etc etc. I could go on for a long time, but frankly, the only thing that matches the laundry list of fail is the hilariously amateurish and juvenile writing style of the author.

In general, I actually dislike most Harem Romantic Comedies on principle after watching so many of the same crap on a lot of them, especially its two most common elements: a ridiculously average guy whom girls inexplicably fall for, and a cast filled with a checklist of unimaginative anime stereotypes. Stuff like Ranma and TWGOK is up there in my likes because they break that mold with an adamantium sledge hammer.

Favorite Game/Game Series (In no order):

This one also experienced some changes:

Tales Of Series still holds my favor, although some recent entries (namely, Zestiria) are disappointing. My favorite is still most certainly Symphonia, although Graces and Xillia (the 1st one) are very good too. Definitely recommend anyone able to at least try one of these. Definitely do NOT recommend Dawn of the New World. Far as I'm concerned, that one never happened. Nope.

Shin Megami Tensei and associated Spin-Offs like Persona Series and Devil Survivor are most certainly still among my favorite games of all time. What is not to love of a mix of difficult, but fair gameplay, lore-heavy creatures based on figures of mythology from all around the world, interesting stories that deal with heavy themes, including religion, society, the nature of what it means to be human, and all that jazz? Certainly, I only scratched the surface with the first Devil Survivor, but I've since played quite a few others. That said, I am VERY fond of Persona 3 for a variety of reasons. While I also like Persona 4, I regret to say that that particular entry paradoxically also has my contempt due to being milked like a damn cow for all it is worth, and overshadowing Persona 3. Quite childish of me, I know, but that is how I feel. Persona 5cannot come soon enough.

Good ol' Touhou Project remains steadfast as one of my top series. The series has come quite a ways since then, and will probably not stop for a good while yet. Can't really go into too many details here since this is one of those series that appeals more to hardcore fans who know their way around to what they like. Want my recommendation? If you seriously plan to get into the games, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. If you don't, no worries: find something or some character you like, and just surf that web friend.

The Fire Emblem Series is a long-runner of Nintendo, and by now I'm sure that it's quite renown among gamers, for good or ill. While I only got into it "late" (Path of Radiance late), series stays a favorite of mine to this day, despite the inherent storytelling flaws in some of its entries (ahem, Fates).

Rhythm games in general I quite like, but special mention to the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA, Mirai and Future Tone installments, centered around the famous Vocaloids. Oh yeah, cannot do say much here: awesome music, awesome PVs, fun gameplay, and some very nice collectibles to go with it. If you can get used to the synthetic nature of the lyrical aspect of the music (which is disguised quite well on the better pieces, mind), you will love these.

What is not to love about the Neptunia series? Incredibly hilarious characters and shenanigans, coupled with a tongue-in-cheek medium awareness (that is, lack of fourth wall) and affectionate parodies of the entirety of the video game industry make for a very quirky storytelling experience that is certain to leave a lasting impression. And it also knows when to put on the action gloves (even if the gameplay is admittedly average), so it's also an engaging, and at times, emotional experience too. Definitely recommend to all JRPG fans out there, and fans of video games in general, and especially if you know your trivia: you will be delighted at the obscene amount of references all throughout.

JRPGs in general, as well as games of various other genres like action, adventure and such. Notable games/series not already mentioned: Baten Kaitos 1 and 2, Golden Sun series, Disgaea series, Mario & Luigi series, Paper Mario series, pretty much ANYTHING by ATLUS (which includes SMT), Odin Sphere, Kingdom Hearts series, Okami, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, Devil May Cry series, Bayonetta series, Star Fox Series, Metroid Series, Zelda Series,Asura's Wrath, Undertale, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Super Smash Bros. Series, Xenoblade Series (especially the first one), The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Castlevania Series, Metal Gear Solid Series, and other awesome stuff I'm sure you probably don't want to know of for fear of me running my mouth for years.

This is a relative newcomer since it is quite recent, but the Gravity Rush games have earned a special spot in my heart. There is something to be said about the ability to control gravity; in these games, you are free. You can get basically anywhere, walk up and down walls, or upside down, throw yourself through the air, etc. The plot is very compelling; its characters are distinctive and fresh, especially its main heroine and her adorable mix of cheer, klutziness and self-awareness coupled with a heart of gold and indomitable will. The world is vast, unique and a gigantic mystery waiting to unravel, and each "sector" of the world has its own flavor, making for every area being and feeling unique. Aside from that, the great, jazz-inclined OST and the series' own flair and style dotting everywhere, these are two games that will stay unique in the memories of all who play them.

Looking Forward To:

* Anime: Nothing in particular. I haven't been keeping up lately.

Games: Persona 5, definitely; Four Goddesses Online, a Neptunia spinoff; expansion packs of Future Tone; DLC episode for Gravity Rush 2; Maybe the Nintendo Switch; new Fire Emblem games.

Life: Back the daily university grind soon.

About Myself:

I'm self-aware enough now to know to realize that I've got quite an ego. Honestly, reading the stuff I wrote on this profile years ago is rather embarrassing. I can't believe I was such a mouthy kid! Still am, really; I just have a snarkier and darker sense of humor now, and can hold myself back when I really need to. Not above owning up to my own actions either, which is a lesson in life that everyone should always keep in mind.

I like animals, especially dogs and cats, more so the former.

Despite my...verbosity, English is not, in fact, my first language, but my second. Or, maybe because of my tendency to go on and on, you can tell that it isn't my first language. This is a direct side effect of spending so much of my time reading. I assure you, I am nowhere near this eloquent in real life (usually). However, this is part of how I express myself, so please bear with me.

I hate physics. For some strange reason, I have a tough time grasping them, which is weird because I rarely have trouble with other types of mathematical courses, like calculus.

The advent of smart phones means I'm equally as likely to do my reading with it as I am from my computer, an unhealthy habit that will surely destroy my eyesight down the line. Sad, but true.

I am a Troper, through and through. If you do not understand what this means, please go check out TVTropes and be enlightened. If you DO understand...welcome, brother/sister, and go back to walking the wiki!

I have a policy for when I review: on principle, I dislike just leaving encouragement or useless commentary that does not benefit the writer in any way. I offer criticism, dissecting what I liked and disliked about the story and express how I felt it would have flowed better, or alternatives. The tone of the criticism is skewed towards my impression of the work, meaning that I tend to come off harsher on works that have more flaws. Conversely, works of high quality seem like they're being heaped with praise, which they kind of are, and they deserve it, but I worry that it may seem too much. Nevertheless, I stand by my convictions in this matter, and in the end it is up to the author to make what they will of my reviews. However, I will admit that I am happy if I can get the author to respond to my review, as I take that as a sign that my criticism was of help to them.

I will go out and say this now: I've got issues with commitment. For FF purposes, this is apparent to anyone who's read my stuff: it's all been left hanging for years now. This isn't simply me just deciding to stop writing. It's a mess of procastinated work being side-lined indefinitely and repeatedly by stuff that can't be put off, personal interests taking precedence, work, studies, family obligations, etc. This is a real overdone song and dance for thousands of people, I'm sure. This also goes to what few attempts I have made at beta reading. I sincerely regret every time I fail someone in this manner. In spite of that, I have a word to say regarding my pieces. Please look at the final AN of this page.

Story Data (leaving this untouched for now):

1. Emerald Caress: My first fanfiction. Currently incomplete. I've lacked the inspiration up until today, 14th of February, to write further than the first chapter. I'll write the second one sometime before the end of the week. This is because I've got the ideas for several C.C.XLelouch Fanfics, and all just by looking at wallpapers! Expect to see a stream of the pairing from myself sometime soon. EDIT: Currently struggling to decide where to go from now for chapter 4. EDIT TO TO AN EDIT: Make that MAJOR struggling. EDIT OF EDITS: Officially on hold to make time for other stories.

-Status: Multichapter, ON HOLD.

2. St. Valentine's Storm: Not actual tittle, rather referring to the several LelouchXAnyone (mainly C.C.) fics I plan to write for the next few days. By then these would be belated St. Valentine's gifts to the Code Geass fanbase, but then it's always better later than never. Surprising what a night that was originally intended to be used to look for a new wallpaper can do to nurture ones inspiration. EDIT: Up to Chapter 7 now. I have decided to focus back on this one.

-Status: Multichapter, ALIVE, but under the effects of a Slowga x 9001 spell.

3. Izayoi's Nest: Tentative name to an interesting little piece I plan to write soon. Unlike my work up to date, this one is based on Touhou. As the tittle implies, it is based on one Sakuya Izayoi, the head maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and "The Devil's Lapdog" (or Caretaker, whichever you prefer). The idea itself... you know what? I'll explain that once I do write and post it. Might be a oneshot, might be a twoshot, might be more. Expect it soon, because I do think I need a break from The Crown of Love for a while. Edit: Writting on hold, until I feel like it.

-Status: Currently in the limbo.

4. Hausse de le Lune Écarlate : French for "Rise of the Scarlet Moon". A Touhou fic. Originally, I wanted to write Izayoi's Nest first, but, mostly due to laziness, I put it off. The idea is still planned, but meanwhile, this took shape in my mind at the same time. If anyone reads this, be prepared; there's quite a chance that I'll pull off the same bull I pull for Crown of Love. For the record, the title should tell you that this is centered on one Remilia Scarlet. Best. Vampire. Ever! Edit: Unfortunately, this story is currently on hold due to technical difficulties and circumstances. *sob* I'm so sorry, Remilia-sama...

-Status: Multichapter;

Writer used Brainstorm! It's super effective!!

Computer used Murphy's Law! It's a one-hit K.O.!!

Writer fainted!

--translation: ON HOLD.

5. The Grim: A Code Geass fic I wrote and posted on the one night I felt really angsty. Seriously, I was zombie-like. Now, perhaps I may have overreacted a bit, given it was over my pet, but still...

-Status: Oneshot, COMPLETE.

6. The Game of Destiny: A humor-based Touhou fanfic I wrote to kill time and get it out of my mind. It opens up with an attemp at being prose-like, and needlessly presents all the characters. Seriously, nearly all the characters in the series. TOUHOUS ARE PLAYING POKER. PLEASE WAIT WARMLY. What's the bet you ask? All losers must submit to the winner. Yep. Given my obvious bias towards Remilia, anyone capable of logic can determine the obvious outcome of the humongous time-ticking bomb. Hint: No, Yukari won't win BECAUSE MAGIC. In fact, part of the idea came from wanting to see the blonde be on the receiving end of a devious scheme. Ever thought of the reality warper in a skimpy french maid outfit? No? Well, use your head.

-Status: Length undecided, DECISION PENDING.

7. Apostle of Dawn: So... yeah. In a fit of boredom, I placed one foot into Fire Emblem territory. Basically, this is Silver Haired Maiden Micaiah's ignored past. I love Micaiah, really. Call her a Mary Sue you may, but reserach all the facts you should. The true Sue in FE10 is Ike, believe it or not. Seriously, I can't help but get the impression he was put in as a way to grasp at players of the prequel. Sure, he was the protagonist in that game, but Radiant Dawn should only have been about the Dawn Brigade. Oh well. It will deal with Micaiah's early life taken in by OCs, then progress into the game, or maybe just snippents, I'm not sure. I may just go a bit AU in this one for the heck of it. Beware, for ye shall be spoilt!

-Status: Multichapter, ALIVE, but unfortunately chose to cast a Hastega x 9001 spell during Reverse Day.

8. Ivory Cherries With A Chance of Black Lavender: I know, weird and long tittle, huh? I'm thinking of changing this so that the symbolism in the story will be more prominent. Anyways, one of the few LelouchXJiang Lihua (the Tianzi) out there, and also currently the longest one. I can't say I'm not proud. Besides, I'm always getting these weird ideas ALL the time. Anyways, my attempt at a more romantic shipping between these two, taking liberties with the timelines. The second chapter (and hopefully the last, as I'm not actually so hot on making this a multi-chapter fic; I've got enought as it is) is in the works. Please wait warmly for it =).

-Status: Length undecided, DECISION PENDING.

9. Marriage By Confession: LelouchXKaguya this time, sometime after the alliance with the Chinese Federation is established in R2. A stupid challenge to write any pairing he said, by a friend and fellow Code Geass fan. If you expect a Yaoi, sorry to dissapoint, but he loathes that... And I'm not really fond of it either. Anyways, this is probably one of my silliest stories and most random stories. The Game of Destiny is still my automatic choice for random however. Please enjoy your assholish bishonen Lulu and your lustful loli Kaguya.

-Status: Oneshot, COMPLETE.

10. Crimson Lillies (working tittle): A Tales of Symphonia idea-waiting-to-be-written, specifically, ToS2. Basically a crack-fic that exploits an overused and overdone plot cliché in order to get good natured yet naive Lloyd Irving with a certain someone, for the lulz factor. Please wait warmly for what most probably amounts to a most unlikely pairing ever witnessed in this fandom.

-Status: Playing poker with Izayoi's Nest.

11. Time and Darkness -- A Bond to Mend The World: First Pokémon fanfic. This one, unlike the 25000 fics dealing with Sues, Pokégirls and lemons based off the regular games, is based off of the Mystery Dugenon series. Basically, it is a retelling of the plot of the second Mysetery Dungeon game with a Buneary and Ralts, both female, as the protagonists. However, free variations and deviations will be incorporated, including elaborate fight scenes, character presentation and characterization as well as some "side-trips" to make it more interesting. So if you're basically coming in and only expect a good 'ol novelization, then you've got another thing coming.

-Status: Multichapter, ALIVE.

12. Affinity: FE fanfic in the writing stage. One morning, the heron prince Rafiel wakes up and discovers he can now see people's elemental auras. He and Nailah decide to have fun by using this ability as a way to find out about other people's secrets via aura reading. That's this fanfic in a nutshell. In other words: Humor!

-Status: Oneshot, currently in the process of being born.

Now that I have taken the time to update this profile and make it apparent that, no, I am NOT dead and still frequent this site, what does this mean for my writing effort? Will I start writing again? The answer is a big fat "MAYBE". Truth be told, I get, shall we say, "Writer's Itch" every now and then, and in spite of years of inactivity, ideas for fanfics pop into my head all the damn time. Entertaining my active imagination is also one of my past times. Can I call that daydreaming? Anyway, I have interest in getting back into the swing of things, although I have yet to decide what to do with the individual stories. Some of them may be picked back up right where they left off, and some may be rewritten entirely if I decide to do anything worthwhile with their concepts.

They say hindsight is everything for these things: my pieces, for the most part, are very much amateurish and influenced by the rashness of my youth. I've read so many stories that are orders of magnitude better than my stuff (which is probably a considerable part of what killed my own will to write originally), studied literature in high school, analyzed and learned of tropes, reviewed and criticized many fics, compared, dissected and studied other works, that I feel I have a MUCH better grasp on all this stuff now than what I did all those years ago. At the same time, these things require a dedication and time investment that at times may not be feasible for me, and I tend to forget things or let them go if I don't return to them for a time. I am myself my own worst enemy for this kind of thing.

Therefore, if I do get back to writing, I will try to stay ahead of my own curve and have something ready for reading. When this will happen, I cannot say. I do promise that if pieces are to be rewritten, the originals will be left intact for those who prefer them the way they were. Thank you all for your comprehension.
