![]() Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter, Merlin, and Twilight. I'm just a lazy, layabout, scroungy student, leeching off the government for five and a half years until I get my degree. Of course, I'm waiting for my cannabis to grow so I can make myself some mean hashbrowinies. I study the obscure and vague Creative Industries, eat only organic vegetables and lentils, sleep until mid-afternoon and only come out of my den for the two weeks of exams at the end of each semester before skulking back in to 'hibernate'. The above was mostly a lie. I am a student in CI and law, but definitely not lazy, or on any illegal drug or substance. I do prefer organic farmer's markets to supermarkets and enjoy a good lie-in though :). Serious About Me: Er, I'm originally from England and emigrated to Australia. I use a lot of slang, both British and Aussie which will probably pass over onto characters when I write. So, if you would, please bear with me. I am incredibly forgetful when it comes to day to day things (I leave my keys in my postbox all the time!) but can recall facts, dates, people and their relationships like you wouldn't believe. I inhale books, and remember a teacher once telling me to read a book again because she claimed I had read it too quickly to have comprehended anything. She quized me, quite embarrassingly in front of the whole class, and eventually gave me up as a bad job when I could answer them correctly. If she had have asked me the day's date or what I'd had for breakfast, I wouldn't've had a clue. A bit odd, but like everything in this world, we deal with it. :) My first name is not Alice, but my favourite book is Alice in Wonderland, and Alice is my favourite character in the Twilight series. She nicked a Porsche. That's pretty awesome. I've become rather fed up with Harry Potter and somehow even more fed up with Twilight than I was and so have found me a new young warlock with a mother of a destiny and the weight of the world on his shoulders: Merlin! Ignoring that the series is, admittedly, quite terrible (it's not particularly clever, witty, historically accurate, well researched, characterised, written or edited and there are occasionally incredibly bad lapses in the acting that make you wonder if the editing department are monkeys, at which point you remember it's the BBC so anything is possible (how very dare they cancel Whites?) I do love it. I even love the awkward bits where the lines given to Colin Morgan and Bradley James are so bad that you feel embarrassed for watching it. Part of what makes it so magical I suppose :) Thanks to all my readers and encouragers and I promise that I will be back to writing again soon! |
