![]() Author has written 3 stories for Star Trek: 2009. I finally found a picture that suits Empathy. So it is replacing my dog foot. I absolutely LOVE Kirk/Spock stories. I've always thought they belonged together. But then there was that hand holding scene in ST-TMP! OMG! Anyone who has any doubts, Um, well, research Vulcan hand holding. It wouldn't be the first time they touched hands, but it was done with such emotion! And, if anyone believes that Gene Rodenberry didn't mean for K/S please read his quote on the suject: “Yes, there’s certainly some of that — certainly with love overtones. Deep love. The only difference being, the Greek ideal— we never suggested in the series— physical love between the two. But it’s the— we certainly had the feeling that the affection was sufficient for that, if that were the particular style of the 23rd century.” — Gene Rodenberry, on the relationship between Kirk and Spock Empathy has the muse at the moment. Although I am pushing to write at least a little of the next chapter of HW every week until it's done and posted. Empathy will have two sequels. They will be interesting & different. The first will have to do with a war with an enemy that will scare even the Borg. It will add in elements of another show I really, REALLY liked from the 90's, but will not be a crossover, it will add things that are my take on things that happened there. If the readers guess the name of the show they win gold stars! And cookies!! The second will be the post-war efforts to create an alliance greater than the Federation and the efforts of Kirk and Spock's children in bringing it together. My muse is quite inspired while listening to music. I tend to like edgy rock/alternative/punk music, so my muse likes to be a little edgy. If it can't be edgy because there's no place in the story for angst at the moment my muse tends to sulk. So to calm it down I put on something ambient or classical. Mozart, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd are particular favorites of the muse if I need to calm it. Of course there is some great edgy classical music too, like Stravinski. I have always thought I had a pretty diverse taste in music. I'll listen to just about anything. Although, I can get tired of hearing certain songs. Hence, I don't listen to classic rock or top 40 stations on the radio. I like music from just about every category I can think of except for one: Disco. sigh Most common Pandora stations: (in order of use) [anyone who uses Pandora will know that when you choose a "station" which is the name of a band or a song, you get similar artists when you play that "station"] Three Days Grace Seether Godsmack Muse Mix Bush Mumford and Sons The top 3 stations are similar except the Three Days Grace is more punk, the Seether station is more alernative and Godsmack more hard rock. Most people throw up there hands and say what is the difference? Well, there is a BIG diference to the ears of those who love this music!! | |||||||
