Author has written 8 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Ginger Snaps, Peter Pan, Treasure Planet, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Little Mermaid, and Angel. Hey there! I have to say, I have quite the soft spot for this here site. It's such a great way to showcase work without the pressure of any real-world attention. While I'd like to say I'm back in the writing groove, basic life necessities such as work and school sort of put a dent in that sort of time.. BUT. The inclination is there, and I'm dying to get back to work for you guys. My main problem is finding the right mindset, or "tone of voice" to create something I'd be wholly satisfied with. But you've been wonderful in mildly badgering me, so, what more could I ask for? While I'm here, I thought I'd give you a priority list and short confession of thoughts to shed light on the more anticipated stories. I'd love to get to all of them tonight if I could! Seto/Serenity; Analysis; There seems to've been a bit of controversy over whether or not this piece is deserving of a place here. It's intended to start as an essay, (or disoriented mixture of opinions, rather) and segue into a three part story, or further analysis. This is the one I'm most fixated with for the time being, not only because the dynamic these two create as a "romance" is so steeped in the clutches of lore, (the abduction of the virgin Kore by the Lord of the Underworld), but because anime, for whatever reason, has been a source of intrigue. There's so much to expand on with this new material, and researching their characters has been fun! My only concern has been doing them justice, as I've seen done masterfully with the likes of Anncatz and Cymoril Avalon. Seriously, fan of this pairing? Look at their work. So, expect a Kisara appearance in the next chapter! It's sort of imperative to the story, so as to avoid confusion. Ariel/Jim; Song of the Siren; I have so, so much planned for this one. The trouble is, as mentioned, I'm one hell of a perfectionist. The aim is to execute 18th century dialect whilst retaining Jim's brash bad-assery from Treasure Planet; and that's been the real hold up. I have the entire next chapter in place. It's just being satisfied with the results that I'm slowly working towards. Sub-plots aplenty, this is going to be fairly adult. Peter/Wendy;Where the Heart Lives; This started out as a therapeutic outpouring posted. The first two chapters were nearly the end of it. But I found I love writing for Wendy so much that it wasn't enough to simply leave it at that. So while I do have an idea where it's going, I don't see a plausible resolution for it yet. Trunks/Android 18; Cyborg; I'm close to giving up on this story. While I do love the possibility of a boy falling in love with the creature that took his childhood (through a series of exceptions and loopholes), there really isn't a way to get this story across without retelling a story we all know. It's really just a matter of finding the inspiration. |
