Summary-What ever you feel like cause i suck at them.

Story- Shinji is abandoned at the age of tree by his father Gendo and is given to his (gendos)older brother but something(what ever you want)happens and shinji gets picked up by a then elite jounin brother of kirabi(killer bee) Ei(prononced A) and taken back to Kumo(Cloud) village to become his apprentice(dont make him an exact copy of Ei) while also being taught by Kirabi. He enters the(as a Kumo nin) conflict(war) with Taki(waterfall)/Kusa(grass) villages at age 8(by now need to be high Chunnin/low Jounin).

Timeline- Pt 1 should be a (first chapter)prolouge(when he is 3 thru 7yrs old) of some of his Training(only 2 yrs of training and then the 4 yr long war) but not all of it maybe the starting battle then skip to the last yr and thru out story flash bcks when nessesary(plot development) then skip to pt 2(main part).Then Pt 2(when he's 15 or so and narutos just grad academy making naruto 12 yrs old) is the begining of NGE.
