I really like the premise here. It’s very realistic that John would say something horrible he didn’t mean in the heat of anger and hurt. There were some grammatical errors, though. A few fragmented sentences. Also, you write “could of/should of” when it should be “could have/should have”. This is in every chapter so I know it’s not a one time thing. I apologize for being a grammar Nazi but I find these errors distract me a little from the story.

Awwwwww the ending was so sweet!

I read the previous angry post of someone rantings of John's behaviour & I heartily disagree. Yes, what John said was wrong & I know he appreciate's Sherlock's sacrifice. Sherlock's heart was in the right place, but he was wrong to leave John behind. There were plenty of other people to grieve for him. As someone who has lost someone if this person did fake their death's I would be an even more emotional mess & greatly angry. Yes, I would forgive...eventually. But the emotional pain would be too much. The Holmes's could've brought John in eventually (a month). Fake his death or have him "move away" to get away from all the memories London holds for him. He is a military man which people tend to forget & can take care of himself (& Sherlock). Some stories has Sherlock saying that John would "slow him down"or that he "just can't see" John "hurt" or "dead" & that's b*llsh$t. He gets hurt all the time with the other cases & he could die on them or he could die by a simple accident. Life isn't a guarantee, but Sherlock's "death" is a definite death for John...only physically slower. I understand & I relate to John being incredibly angry. I want Sherlock to truly relate to what John went through. Sherlock may have done this for admirable reasons, but it was still selfish that he left John in the dark because no one else was as close to him, loved him as much as John (in all definitions of love) & would have been a tremendous assist to taking Moriarty's web down. John thrives on Sherlock & danger. John's emotions ran so high that Moriarty's men who was watching him would easily believe he'll kill himself or as I mentioned previously leave the country. Yes, Sherlock went through Hell himself during those years, but that wasn't John's fault. It was entirely's Sherlock's.

I wouldn't forgive john sherlock tore his own life apart for 3 years to save john and the others and all john cares about is his own hurt feelings you dont say you wish someone dead unless part of you actually wishes it.

Poor Sherlock and John. They've both been through so much pain. I'm glad Sherlock was able to go back to Baker Street & is on the mend. I would have loved to see Mrs. Hudson's reaction too. But this is your story.

Hey, great so far, but I noticed that you keep using 'of' in place of 'have', such as 'should of' which should be 'should have' or;

'"If he weren't so addled and panic stricken, he'd [have] rejected the act..."'

Should, could, would etc are never followed with 'of'.

Aww, it was so cute how Sherlock asked John if he was going to stay with him! Adorable! I'm so glad that they are finally mending now!
