I normally don't like stories with the theme of how under-appreciated Barney is, as much as I love him, just because they come off as cliche and/or heavily biased.

However, this was incredibly sweet and very true to everyone's characters. It had an important message, yet it didn't make the gang look cruel and heartless. The regretful tone of the story, the theme that any day could be too late...you did a wonderful job. It was beautifully written as well.

To put it simply, I love this.

Damn you, you magnificent bastard you made me cry.

This makes me forget the sitcom aspect of himym and feel completely depressed even though Barney could be a horrible person he was awe-inspiring as well.

This story was so moving. I am in tears as I write this, and I dont cry as easily as other women. Your story was tragic and stirring. keep up the writing, but as a request, could you write a lighter piece next? I need a bit of cheering up after reading this and you seem to truely be able to work the reader's emotions! Thank you for writing this.
