poor simon. good story. if simon were to take off, then it definitely would have been after that episode. i like the way you wrote simon, his thought processes. and i like his interactions with mal. the scene with claine was interesting.

A nice, tightly written little oneshot that could almost be an episode from the show.

You know, I could SO see Simon doing THIS EXACT thing, and endangering himself, River and the other BDHs. At first I thought he might have done it out of anger or to prove that he *could*, even with your explanation that he feared for everyone else's saftey. Then, I re-read it a few hours later and figured out what was throwing me...do I detect a *hint* of Simon/Mal? *is hopeful that IS the case*

Wow! Great storY! Too long to call it a one shot but awesome one shot none the less! I loved the Simon/Mal fight and I LOVE river! She is such an enigma! Keep it up! Well written! Good job! LOved it!

This came at a brilliant time, counting down to Serenity.
