Beta Projects

Serpent Devours Its Own Tail: Harry Potter/Fullmetal Alchemist crossover in which Harry enters Amestris after the final battle. Spoilers for both series.

Now that I have several fics, I'll give a more detailed description of each right here:

Chaptered

Metamorphosis: Fifteen-year-old Jessica Meltrow jumped into the Duel Monsters scene only a few years ago, but has risen to become an incredible duelist. After making it to the semi-finals of the Regional Tournament in Domino, she has been invited to participate in Duelist Kingdom. This huge tournament is another league, but she is certain she can deal with it, even as enemies begin to emerge from the trees of the island. [HIATUS. I doubt that much more will come of this one, as I've moved on to finally using canon characters more than OCs, but at some point I may return.]

Some Things Change: Several years after Battle City, Mokuba has entered high school. Unfortunately, his brother's habit of stepping on "little people" has caught up to him: Seto's freshman are Mokuba's seniors, and they love to pick on him. After a potentially fatal bullying attempt, Seto transfers Mokuba to Kotonashi Kinko, the local private school. Mokuba makes an unexpected friend, who leads him to another...and she's twice as unexpected as the first. [HIATUS. I've been working a little on the next chapter, but it's not coming along so well.]

Evil Angel: One Saturday morning, after messinging with some random guy he meets in an alleyway, Bakura decides to get to know Ryou. They grow closer, and Ryou starts to grow very attached to this new side of his yami. When Marik returns to Japan for another go at the Pharaoh's power, he helps Bakura to get himself a body of his own. Soon, Bakura and Marik are the ones getting close, and Ryou is getting jealous. How far will this sweet, mild-mannered boy go to win over his yami? [HIATUS. It's not as good as I thought it was and after a year-long break, I realized that. Someday I may finish it for the sake of its fans, but for now I have college and such to focus on. Sorry! :( ]

The Secret Life of a Japanese Teenager: This story follows the lives of many of the Yu-Gi-Oh! characters through the semi-private Domino boarding school. Here lies the average teenage drama, filled with rivalry and romance. Watch as some must learn to cope with less-than-desirable roommates, unwanted classmates, and wounding pangs of jealousy. (I swear this story has absolutely nothing to do with The Secret Life of an American Teenager. I just liked the sound of the title.) [HIATUS. For mostly the same reasons as Evil Angel...]

Inside the (Millennium) Ring It's after Battle City, and the Ishtar family moves to Domino to begin their life anew. It's only the beginning of a rocky relationship when Bakura finds Marik wandering the city streets, lost and alone. Watch in wonder as they duke it out for the belt of "Most Fights Won Over the Course of a Relationship"! [HIATUS. Fun, but I realized that it's not as well thought out as I would like for it to be. Also college and stuff.]

Yuugiou no Naku Koro ni Strong influences from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Umineko no Naku Koro ni. A group of friends living in the quaint city of Domino is afflicted by a string of mysterious murders. Multiple times. WARNING for those not familiar with the When They Cry series: character death, and lots of it.

One-Shots

Together for Christmas: Just a week or so before Christmas, Joey gets a video message from Serenity saying that she's convinced their mom to visit him for Christmas. He is completely overwhelmed by his lack of preparation, but with the help of his friends and a few memories, maybe he can still make this holiday special for his little sister.

The Diary of Jane: One day during math class, Yuugi gets to daydreaming about his childhood friend, Anzu, back in her waitress uniform. This cute little oneshot is written around "The Diary of Jane" by Breaking Benjamin.

After the Funeral: Ever since Grandpa died, Yuugi has been distant from his life, his friends, himself. He was so close to the old man. Can his friends help him to put the past behind him and move on? Or will he remain in his reverie? Oneshot.

One Step Closer: Bakura has watched as Ryou's and Marik's relationship has grown with worry. When he agrees to take them to a nearby concert, the pressure he's been feeling may begin to be too much. Written around "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park. Part of a short series of Linkin Park songfics.

Leave Out All The Rest: Sequel to "One Step Closer". After the crash, Bakura wakes up to Ryou trying to get into his hospital room. He finally confesses everything he's been thinking over the past few months to the boy. Ryou begs him to stay alive, but is his hope enough? Written around "Leave Out All The Rest" by Linkin Park. Part of a short series of Linkin Park songfics.

Easier to Run: Sequel to "Leave Out All The Rest". Six months after Bakura's death, Ryou awakens from a nightmare. As he walks around the house, trying to clear his mind, memories begin to overwhelm him. Written around "Easier to Run" by Linkin Park. Final installment to the series of Linkin Park songifcs.

Tender: After Ryou touched the Millennium Puzzle, Yuugi and Co. never approached him. No one at school knows anything about him except that he's an intelligent transfer student. His birthday arrives, and nobody knows. Nobody except for the Voice...

Over and Over Every time he makes Bakura leave, Ryou gets unbearably lonely and goes after him. Now, Ryou wonders if he will ever be able to get away. Written around "Over and Over" by Three Days Grace.

Angst: After Ryou confessed to Marik that he's gay, the two best friends have worked hard not to let the fact ruin their friendship. But will Marik's seventeenth birthday party change the way they think of each other?

Thief When Bakura wants something from Marik, he gets it. Marik can never keep his head on around his sadistic, egotistical lover.

A Wonderful Present: It's been a few months since Bakura became a separate entity from Ryou, during which time his hikari has attempted to put him through a sort of rehabilitation. It seems to have done some good when Ryou comes home from school thoroughly depressed. Even Bakura knows that nothing is supposed to go wrong on your birthday.

Chicken Marik and Bakura are - as usual - arguing, this time over who is the manlier of the two. Ryou wanders into the room and is dragged in to judge a game of Chicken. A bit cracky. Sorta for LadyBlackwell.

Drabble Party A collection of various Yu-Gi-Oh! drabbles written during a forum party!

The Visitor While monitoring the security cameras of the mansion, Kaiba comes across his brother sneaking outside to let in a hooded visitor. Now who could this be?

The YuGiOh! Fanfiction Contest: Season 8.5

Mysterious Daydream Yugi's drifting mind comes to rest on the daydream he hears coming from his Millennium Puzzle. Turns out, the Pharaoh was thinking about Kaiba. Yugi sets off to try to figure out why. Tier one Prideshipping fic.

The More It Intertwines With Its Prison Ryou finds out that he has been harboring a piece of Marik's soul in his body since the alliance between Marik and the Spirit in Battle City. An angry confrontation ensues. Tier two Angstshipping fic.

Princes Don't Cry Over Thieves The new young Pharaoh Atem takes the time during the ceremonial Festival of the Pharaohs to think back on his less-than-princely childhood, which includes a not-so-princely companion named Bakura. Tier three Casteshipping fic.

Nightmare Ever since the Spirit defeated Malik's dark side in Battle City, Yugi has been plagued by nightmares. This is one of them. Tier four Crosshipping fic.

Whispers on the Windowsill When someone dies, his or her spirit is simply reborn into another world. Cyndia and Amane were reborn at around the same time, and lived together as stray children until the day they were rescued from a small gang of boys by a spinster named Ms. Muto, who was also taking care of a small boy named Pegasus. As the years go by, Amane's jealousy of him grows. Tier five Pervadeshipping fic.

The YuGiOh! Fanfiction Contest: Season 9

Conquer Post-series. After a visit to the Pharaoh's collapsed tomb, Malik is haunted by a hostile spirit. Warning for gore and otherwise effed up horror. Round one Thiefshipping fic.

The Gypsies AU. While at the festival, Monsieur Kaiba allows his younger brother to visit the psychic Mademoiselle Ishizu, who makes a surprising prediction. Round two Trustshipping fic. [Likely to be continued as a chaptered work!]

Yu-Gi-Oh! is my first love when it comes to anime and card games! I've recently come back to it thanks to Little Kuriboh's Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series. Fans and haters alike will love it. Fans of the dub, beware--some of the bashing may be too harsh (I dealt with it because the show is so freaking hilarious). Fans of the original, enjoy all the 4Kids bashing. Haters, well, enjoy the bashing. The bashing is really mostly subtext--and direct quotes. ="You don't stand a ghost of a chance." In a creepy way, hell freakin' yes, Yami no Marik is one of the hottest characters in Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Um...I'm pretty sure it would be the other way around but...Mai and Seto would make one narcissistic, independent baby.

4) Do you recall any fics about Nine?

Yeah I do! Hell, I started writing one as a sophomore in high school!

5) Would Two and Six make a good couple?

Yami no Yugi and Ryou? Eh...they wouldn't make a bad couple, but it wouldn't last long. I think that Yugi and Bakura would end up taking back their other halves.

Yugi x Mokuba or Yugi x Noa? Um...due to the creepiness factor of the first one, I would have to go with Yugi x Noa. I think that would turn out to be an adorable pairing, actually...

Bahahahaha! Oh wow... Well, first, Mai would totally be confused because she would have gone into the sex thinking it was Bakura, who actually set it up so Ryou could lose his virginity. Isis would be totally mortified and would bow out with her "sincerest apologies". And Ryou would totally regret it and wish he had waited until he was in love.

Marik x Noa. After finding a way out of the virtual world, Noa seeks the person who destroyed the controls. Instead, he meets the light side of the bored villain and can't bring himself to say even a word over the nearly-fatal mishap.

Ah, Yugi. About him about him? Eh...it's been a while. Probably not since my long puzzleshipping spree back when I was first getting into yaoi.

Bakura and Isis are in a happy RELATIONSHIP? (Um...the eff?) Then Mokuba runs off with Yami no Marik (which is wrong on SO many levels). Because he is so brokenhearted over this (and I hope it's because of Yami no Marik, not Mokie...), Bakura has a one-night stand with Jonouchi (who I am pretty sure is pretty damn straight, sorry fangirls...). Bakura then gets into a short and not-too-happy affair with Mai (gag), until he gets advice from Yugi (and takes it?), and falls in love with Marik (finally something that makes sense!). The title of this ridiculously OOC fic? Hot Potato Love. Because the love was passed from random person to random person until it cooled down...
