Fanfiction.net is not a democracy. It is a website sustained by a company that just happens to allow people to register for free, post for free and play in the forums for free. That being said you agreed to their Terms of Service. They plan to take away Mature rated content, you don't have to like it, but it is a decision that you will agree with so that you can use this site for more than browsing. Here's the thing though, Story pages are for stories, not unrelated content such as your petitions, send an E-mail to the administrator if you want results. Reposting the petition will not get it seen by the administrators. Story posting is run automatically, the only time it is personally viewed is when there are enough flags posted to the item to warrant being reviewed for content. Your user blackout for 6-23-2012, it means nothing. People will still browse, that is how Fanfiction.net creates income for running this site, not the authors posting, after all bad press is still good press. All this stunt did is draw attention to the site for more people to look about curiously. thus, more revinue for the site. Also, story challenges, they go on the forum or on your profile page. Your opinion can go in your profile, putting them on story pages are a waste of site resources. Stories, drabbles, incomplete stories Etc. along the same vein, you know things with PLOT. These are what get posted on story pages. Author Notes are not a chapter amongst themselves, they go at the end of chapters to give thanks to other readers, explain your musings and to help the reader along the story. For those of you who don't know how to format a story or to use this site then please go here: http://www.fanfiction.ws/u/891127/Ozzallos and read the Rules for Fanfiction Failure. They outline the important things to avoid when writing. Put simply: If you don't like the way is doing things, either make your own website or go somewhere else. |
