It doesn't feel real. She can't be gone. She's saved them so many times, sacrificed so much, tried so hard, and now she's… not there. She should be with them. It feels so horribly wrong, to be here and safe when she's—no. (They hear from Clarke once a year, and this is how it happens, but first: first, they mourn.)

mal's red-rimmed eyes, ben holding her hand, and evie will pull her close with an arm around her waist as carlos squeezes her middle and jay leans behind her with an arm on her shoulder and his hair on the back of her neck, and mal will think to herself that she will never let them go again and they will all think the same. (but first comes everything else.)

mal doesn't lose herself in a day: it takes jay's absence from her side and evie ignoring her silence and carlos' new friends, and then one day she's staring at the cameras and she's forgotten how to smile and it's like she's underwater and it was never like this on the isle, never, she always knew who she was and what she was doing and she was always in control and- she misses it.

El has hair slicked back behind her ears, darkly ringed eyes, and somewhat bedraggled clothes, and Max would normally steer clear of people looking like her but she's heard so much about El, and God, why is this group of friends so unlike everyone else Max has ever met? Max never used to care about what random people thought of her. "Curse you, stalker," she mutters half-heartedly.

You don't know when it starts happening, but one day you look into the mirror and suddenly you don't recognise the girl staring back at you. (Lydia Martin is an oxymoron wrapped in intrigue and lipstick stains on cheap champagne glasses.)

"The council needs someone to test earth before they send the criminals, and they... they voted on you." There was a pause, and then, "You're not sending me to live," Clarke hissed. "You're sending me to die." Here's an AU where Clarke is sent to Earth six months before the rest of the delinquents, forced to survive on her own.

He's one with his ship and his crew is one with him, and that's okay because he's Crazy Kirk and they wouldn't really want him any other way.

Nyota wasn't the only one to lose Gaila that day.
