![]() Author has written 5 stories for Fairy Tail. So it occurred to me that if I am going to be writing stories that I ought to fill in this empty space here with stuff about me. Hi. I feel like I should put my name and age here, but I don't think I will. I have my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Medical Anthropology. Bonus points to you if you even know what Medical Anthropology is. I will be starting Nursing School in January of 2017 (woot woot). On a more personal level, I was drawn to this site for two reasons: my love for reading, and my addiction to Fairy Tail. So back in February of 2016, I injured my back. I thought that I would be fine, but when nothing I took was getting rid of the pain and I started loosing sensations in my legs and such, I went to the hospital. Later that day I was sent into emergency surgery for my back. For those who are fascinated by medical based stuff, you want to google Cauda Equina Syndrome. Specifically look for nerve involvement at L4 and L5. Yeah it was bad. I was told that recovery would take a very long time. Just after surgery I couldn't even roll over by myself. By the time I left the hospital, I was barely walking and needed someone to help me walk or needed the help of a walker. I then spent the next month in my bed because my activity tolerance was so low (like trying to shower was a workout, you never know how important those back muscles are until you can't use them). It just so happened that during that time, Fairy Tail was on Netflix. Guess who then watched/read years worth of Fairy Tail anime/manga in just under a few months? Yup, this girl. (This was after I went through 2 other anime and read three different books.) It was only recently that I decided to write my own stories. A couple other things to know about me. I am a huge advocate for Mental/Psychiatric Health. Before I hurt my back, I was working at a Psychiatric Hospital that dealt with kids (11-17) and adults with a plethora of mental illnesses including bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and personality disorders. My guess is that I have seen more than most people. If you need to talk to someone, please talk to someone. If you think that I am a person that you can trust enough to talk to, please send me a message! I will try to get back to you the same day. If it is an emergency, call 911. If you don't feel safe with yourself or your home situation, please, please, please tell someone! I believe that these resources are USA based, but you should be able to find similar resources by searching for them on the internet. You can now text someone to talk to: Crisis Text Line: Text "Go" to 741741 RAINN: Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network: 1-800-656-4673 (24/7) National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255 (24/7) Press 1 for Veterans line National Runaway Safeline: 1-800-786-2929 (24/7) Because I am an advocate for Mental Health, I support everyone and anyone who writes about instances that could be triggering. Listen to me on this one. Writing about these situations is incredibly therapeutic. Reading about characters that you relate to as they go through these experiences helps you deal with your own emotions and feelings. It helps you grow as a person. However, it is just as important to know your limits and give yourself time. No one should expect you to be in the right mind to deal with devastating circumstances right away. No one should expect you to be unaffected by your past. Don't push yourself past your limits! Anyway... Now that that's out of my system... I do have a new story planned, and mostly written, but I don't intend to publish it until it is mostly done. I don't want to publish something that I never end up finishing because I got caught up in school and stuff. If you have read the stories I have, and you have a request for a one-shot (or a less than 5-6 chapter story) feel free to let me know. There's no guarantees that I will do it, but I am open to giving it a shot. If you have questions or comments for me, please send me a message or let me know. Thanks. |
